I just finished using Lionbrand 24/7 Mercerized Cotton Yarn with a G-hook (4.25 mm) for these mittens and that size hook made them way too big…..I switched to a F-hook (3.75 mm), and that was much better……….so sometimes you have to change the hook size depending on the yarn you’re using………I’m no expert….just telling my experience and how I adjusted……

Those are all beginner things to learn
The instructions give the option to do a magic ring OR the chain beginning.
You can just look up how to do em while ur doing the project, it’s a really nice design

Ok so this calls for a 3.5 crochet hook. Not knitting needles.
