How would you rate these cities for a retired couple ? We are slow traveling between Mexico and Argentina, in search of our favorite retirement city. Thanks
Mmm I would definitely include Buenos Aires because it’s a fantastic city! If you’re interested in great nature and perhaps colder weather, probably checking out some towns in Patagonia would be a great idea, like Bariloche (though I haven’t been myself yet, but it looks lovely!). There are also some towns in the South with (surprisingly) a Welsh community: Puerto Madryn, Gaiman, Trelew. Again I’ve not been myself, but I’m sure it would be fascinating to check out for some time. And I think Salta / Northern Argentina would be another great choice - much more chilled than Buenos Aires, nice people, a more “indigenous” and perhaps a more “Bolivian” vibe, with access to some great nature, mountains and salt flats too! Hope this helps 🙏
Out of the ones I went to, cheapest was definitely Salta. Not sure on the most organic healthy food ahah, but I think ‘maybe’ could be Mendoza - at least they have the best wine 😄
When did you visit Mendoza? For a holliday? Haha There's a LOT to do. And the City has many actuvities and life. And you can do a lot in the montains, vinyards, etc etc
Ahah yes I visited back in the end of March! There were definitely lots of wine tasting, mountain and river activities ahah. But I’m more of a “city life” guy ahah. It felt a little quiet when I was there 😭 Is Mendoza your favourite city in Argentina?
It’s not the camera quality, it’s too much movement of the camera (I.e. panning too quickly) which does make it difficult for the eye to focus. Otherwise, nice info!
I’m about to head to Buenos Aires for my third trip within a year. So I’ve got a total of like 50 days in total in the city. I think what I’m gonna say is probably true of any major metropolitan area it is someplace you can go again and again and discover new things. You were good about covering the intro for tourist so if you’ve never been yeah however there are places that you didn’t discuss That if you would go and maybe spend for five months there you would really have a better understanding of. I stayed in Belgrano for like 26 days and really enjoyed my time I will say something negative I didn’t see a lot of beautiful women during the day and I never really went out at night to Palermo.
Thank you for your comment! Are you in Buenos Aires right now? It would be great to hear some of your recommendations for hidden gems in the city for my next visit ahah! Please do let me know 🙏🇦🇷
It's hard to rank these, many great cities buuuuttt... Knowing them all, I'd say there's no way Mendoza ranks lower than 2nd (cos Buenos Aires first place in indisputable). After BA, nothing beats Mendoza. Nightlife, nature, mountains, wines, tours... Honestly, I think you might have not had the best guides, or maybe you didn't give the city enough time to live it? In any case, great excuse to come back!

Mendoza city is the best retirement place (I’d retire here in my 50’s😅)
Greeting from Mendoza. My place in the world ❤ 🇦🇷
Nice! 🇦🇷 What is your second favourite place in the world?
@TravellingWithCon Florianopolis (Brasil)
Thank you for your ranking. I want to visit Argentina!
Glad you enjoyed this! Where in Argentina do you want to visit? 🇦🇷
What city has the best prices and most organic healthy food?
Out of the ones I went to, cheapest was definitely Salta. Not sure on the most organic healthy food ahah, but I think ‘maybe’ could be Mendoza - at least they have the best wine 😄

Salta looks interesting, thanks!
It’s a nice town, and the nature and surrounding towns are beautiful! Are you planning on coming to Argentina?
im from Mendoza, i see you while im drinking white wine
Video moving too fast is tiring and hard to watch. Although the info is interesting listening to a video is not my thing.
Ooos sorry! Very low quality camera means the pixels were quite big. But glad you found it interesting 🇦🇷
@TravellingWithCon it's fine dude.
It’s not the camera quality, it’s too much movement of the camera (I.e. panning too quickly) which does make it difficult for the eye to focus. Otherwise, nice info!
I agree with you, we cannot see everything well he jumps from one place to another.

Wish I could have held on to see more, but your video sweeping motion side to side is not fun to watch. Cheers.
Oops sorry! 😭

I have to disagree. I’m in Mar del Plata, Argentina. It’s much better than the capital.
@@PassportDialectic i’m hoping to visit Mar del Plata next year! 🙏 I’ve not been yet!
@@PassportDialectic any recommendations for the city?
@@TravellingWithCon Del Mar Plata. It’s safe, quiet and yet it’s poppin if you’re in the high tourist season.
