Good lord is there anything you can’t fix Or repair??? My husband was a tool/mold/maker. Also a gunsmith. He was like you he could fix anything!! As a gunsmith if he could find a part he would sit down and draw it on paper then He could make anything old look new. I think of him when. I watch you. Lost him 4 years ago after 45 years. Thanks for bringing back memories of him.

Yes, but why did that wheel come off the truck in the first place? It's not like Andrew to forget to tighten those 8 lug nuts! Didn't you notice that his truck didn't even bounce when that wheel went on it's merry way. Now that kinds make me wonder if 'our Andrew' is playing with his camera(s) as well as the viewers!
problem is probably that electric impact. Id recheck all the lug nuts by hand after running them in with that. I guess NY doesn't require a safety or emissions inspection either but i do enjoy the videos

Hi Andrew, I have done a lot of tire changing in my life, so one tip for you: Before you put air in the tire, line up the red dot (position 33:00) on the tire with the valve. That will take you a long way to have the tire in balance
The yellow dots identify where a tire weighs the least - the lightest point on a tire. The yellow dot should be lined up and directly next to the valve stem, which is the wheel's heaviest point. The red dots identify where the tire is flattest - the lowest point on a tire.Oct 7, 2022

Anybody can fix a water pump and replace tires, but driving a truck hauling a skid steer up the mountain while flying a drone at the same time - that's skills right there.
I have no clue on how Andrew the young man dose it.But I'm sure glad he's doing ..I'm sure I'm not the only one who watches him more than TV..keep it up Andrew I love your awsome way you you do things.
Most people wouldn't bother replacing the spare tire hoist on an older truck, and would just keep the spare in the bed, bubba style. Andrew fixes things, just because they need fixing. This guy is my hero.
The heat trick saved a friend's car the other day. Such a neat trick. Poor fella was on the Bahn, had to reach a meeting, saw the temp go through the roof and called me, through some act of God, i remembered this video's intro and told him to open all windows, ramp heat to the max. Suffice it to say i was called a lunatic, but it worked. He limped into town on a whisker.
A tip from a mechanic , glue the gasket to the water pump with contact cement let dry . Then put aviation gasket maker on the other side of gasket , to the block. That holds everything in place as you install it.
"I could keep filming more about the truck... But it'll be in plenty other videos" We all know you will not discard something until it truly is time! Great videos Andrew. Best wishes to your continued success.
This guy has a great character to him. I think that's why I enjoy him so much. Just a normal guy, doing normal stuff but he is just so honest and real it makes for quality videos.
Distilled white vinegar will do the same thing as the muriatic acid and it’s cheaper and safer!! I use it to remove mill scale steel!! I put my steel in a tub of white vinegar for 24 to 48 hours and then wash the steel with water and dawn dishwashing liquid and the mill scale is gone!!
I did the water pump in my '99 Ram 2500 5.9. Yea. Did it 4 times in a week because the original shit the bed, the "new" reman one got put on and seized, the second reman replacement was put on, then when I started it started pissing everywhere, it was cracked, finally got a brand new one as a replacement and it's been fine ever since. Did that at roughly 315K and she's at 487K with no issues knock on wood
Great how you take care of the equipment and make it last. Shiny paint does not move dirt or carry your stuff down the road. Another great video. Thanks for the time you take.
Hi Andrew, you have a Honda eu2000i generator. Would you please make a video showing how to do maintenance things, like carb cleaning, valve adjustment, and perhaps some updates. I have 2 of those generators connected with a powerhead, which need maintenance. Your ability to give intricate details is amazing. Thanks for any consideration you may give this project. I love those old tire machines.
Scott Powell I think all you Gotta do On those is change the oil. Look in the owners manual about maintenance, I’m sure there are already videos on here explaining how to maintain those.
Chasing the threads is an awesome pointer. I glue the gasket to the water pump first and let it set a while, so the gasket doesn't move around. About your old Dodge truck, it's probably paid for itself over about 4 times. I still have pickup I bought almost 30 years ago. I'm with you Andrew.
The best channel on TH-cam! ‘Oh look theres my wheel right there’ - Andrew Camatara 2k18 I would have said ‘Oh look there’s my soul right there... just leaving my body...’

I am absolutely addicted to your channel I have been watching your videos now for 3 days and I can honestly say I've gotten behind on my work because I just can't put down my phone from watching your videos they are truly awesome thank you very much and you show some really good tips and advice
Good to see you're keeping the Dodge on the road. I have a '99 Ram 1500 Sport with 200,900 miles in it and other than the usual repairs (such as replacing the water pump, which I did last year) it's been a dependable, very low maintenance truck. It is wonderful to have plenty of room in the engine compartment to work, my truck has the Magnum 5.9L engine in it and I still had plenty of room to work.
acid isn't so dangerous, you can put your whole hand in some kinds of acids, just need to wash it off (just in a few minutes you'll want to wash it with the burning sensation) when i was doing metal working, i remember an acid we were using, it probably was the same as this one, it's not really colored but if you get some on your skin it gets yellow and it starts to itch and then burn in 10/15 minutes
Just love the inside of that truck bits missing everywhere wires hanging out etc etc etc Just love this young mans attitude Andrew you will live forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a suggestion my dad was a mechanic for years and he always told me if you have to replace the water pump that you should replace the thermostat at the same time.
It always amazes me watching guys working on cars and trucks like you do. I was never any good at that stuff. You're a bright young man. My hat's off to you. 👍

Between you and Talasbuan, your two channels are the most under-rated but exceptionally good channels ion TH-cam. Keep up the great work, Andrew!
I have found that I need to watch the snowplow height to make sure I'm not blocking all the airflow through the radiator when driving down the road without plowing. It's amazing what a few inches up or down make to the engine temp. Your videos are a fun watch ... it is AMAZING all the stuff you do and work that you accomplish, AND still manage to film it all !!!
I'm so jealous of all the tools! Not jealous of that rust though, dang! Also, my understanding is that the yellow dot on the sidewall is meant to line up with the valve stem to help with the balancing.
Andrew, you have far more talent than the three dumbass's who gave you a thumbs down on this video. You maintain your vehicles and equipment, undertake all sorts of projects that are interesting enough that thousands of people watch your videos, and I have nothing but respect for you. I was so embarrassed ! we didnt live it down for the rest of the year !!
Don't know where you get your energy. Probably knowing that business depends upon a working truck keeps you going. But as for me and after a long day that included seeing my wheel roll pass me as I drive and my water pump needing replacing I would call it a day and say i'll get it in the morning! Great video and great instructions. Learned and continue learning a lot! You're the best!!
Excellent video man, I personally like the wheels without the center caps and beauty rings.. without them gives it an aggressive military vehicle look lol
Andrew, you have that exceptional ability of being an excellent teacher. I, even I, who isn't mechanical and has little experience in car repair, could follow your instruction (with the right tools) and be able to fix my vehicle (with some struggle and intestinal fortitude). A lot of people can try to explain or show how to fix something, but few that can do it well and make it very understandable. Thank you for what you do and I wish you the very best. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
I love you dude. You have the best videos on TH-cam period. I love how you aren’t scared of anything. You just jump right in there and go. Awesome job buddy.
"I use grease on my lug nuts"... "There's my wheel right there"! "Good as New"! "That's a nice tailgate"! And he says all this with a straight face! Laughing my ass off!~! fyi-The yellow dot on new tires is to line up with the valve steam, to help balance tire.
Lol oiling or greasing your studs throws the torque spec off. From the factory the studs are given a dry torque. Adding a lubricant makes the torque greater and therefore stretching the studs. Over time they will weaken.
@@blackmasta71 In Europe at least, Wheel studs are supposed to be torqued wet, with oil, not grease though for the factory specs. I am an actual genuinely certified mechanic. We're not talking soaking here, but 2-3 drops applied to the threads on the end of the studs and 2-3 drops between the flange and the nut body. If this is not done, dirt, rust and other contaminants may cause incorrect clamping force and the nut/stud can work itself loose.
@@SantaClaw th-cam.com/video/X3ndeXiZUeM/w-d-xo.html This video shows a good example of the difference. I agree dirt can also screw torque specs up. Thats why a quick wire brushing does wonders.
@@blackmasta71 I do what I've been taught to do in Mechanics school, and what is stated in the workshop manuals. There is a major difference between slobbing on Anti Size and 2-3 drops of oil on the flange and last part of the threads

The yellow dots identify where a tire weighs the least - the lightest point on a tire. The yellow dot should be lined up and directly next to the valve stem, which is the wheel's heaviest point. The red dots identify where the tire is flattest - the lowest point on a tire.Oct 7, 2022
Some rims will have a red dot on the bead ring. If it does, disregard the yellow dot and line the two reds up.
“Look, good as new” ❤️. The more I watch your videos, the more I respect and like you!
You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel
Lol
There’s a real solidity to what you do. It’s quite enjoyable to watch your competency with almost anything you turn your hand to. Also...your relationships with your dogs are just fantastic to see. Thanks for that.
It’s a good thing we got Andrew here to keep our sperits up he has a nice life and makes me feel good
Thanks for all the videos your friend Roger from Canada

Anybody can fix a water pump and replace tires, but driving a truck hauling a skid steer up the mountain while flying a drone at the same time - that's skills right there.
I was thinking the same thing. How does he manage to control the drone to keep the truck and trailer in the correct field-of-view?
@@MrJerryjam Drones have autopilot functions. The function he is using is called ''follow target'' or ''move ahead''
I have no clue on how Andrew the young man dose it.But I'm sure glad he's doing ..I'm sure I'm not the only one who watches him more than TV..keep it up Andrew I love your awsome way you you do things.
Your videos are never boring!
The old Dodge has earned its keep now it's just making money and will do anything a shiny one will I love it! 😉
True story ! Plus he's not afraid to work that bitch !!!
Exactly. Mine is 10 years and 200k old. Paid off for a while. I'll give her some love now and then, and take what she earns to the bank....
Most people wouldn't bother replacing the spare tire hoist on an older truck, and would just keep the spare in the bed, bubba style. Andrew fixes things, just because they need fixing. This guy is my hero.
"That's a nice tailgate."

badass!
had me at the demonstration of over heating... then really sold me at the wheel coming off
The heat trick saved a friend's car the other day.
*You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel* ...
dude don't do that again 😂 I almost wet myself laughing 😂🤣 actually I think I did 😂😂
Well done Sir........ well done
😂
I love it! Lucille
Andrew oughta overlay that song on the video....
"I could keep filming more about the truck... But it'll be in plenty other videos" We all know you will not discard something until it truly is time! Great videos Andrew. Best wishes to your continued success.
This mans a legend he’s so calm watching his wheel just roll beside him. He’s like there’s my wheel right there
My family says I talk about you as if I knew you 😂. Love your videos.
Mine too lol
This guy has a great character to him. I think that's why I enjoy him so much. Just a normal guy, doing normal stuff but he is just so honest and real it makes for quality videos.
He's right about the lift...we got one.. can't believe we got by without it
"Let's go tow a skid steer up a mountain!" How can you not love this channel.
This is like therapy for me.
Thanks Dr. Andrew.
man u got everything including a lift and your very gifted to have the smarts to do what u do,i watch your videos all the time great work andrew

Scott Powell
I think all you Gotta do On those is change the oil. Look in the owners manual about maintenance, I’m sure there are already videos on here explaining how to maintain those.
I like how everything is disassembled and reassembled with an impact wrench.
torqued to spec :)
Love the "matter of fact" common sense approach to everything. Rare in people today. Good job!
The best channel on TH-cam!

‘Oh look there’s my soul right there... just leaving my body...’
I look forward to watching your videos nearly every single night. Thank you so much for just making the videos in the style that works for you, so informative and relaxing to watch these.
I have a 2008. 4door half ton 4x4 an I like it an has 17inch rims. Glad to watch u removing ur water pump so I know how its done. Thank u Andrew.
Where else can you take your truck for a new water pump, new tires and (newish) wheels, and get a free paint job? :D Excellent work, Andrew!
"new paint job" lmao
And scenic views with tunes and a co pilot name Levi .
'That's a nice tailgate. Good as new.' I get more laughs out of one of Andrew's videos than any fifty others (I don't have a life, ok.)
... and i thought my tailgate with a couple of dents in the top was rough
I am absolutely addicted to your channel I have been watching your videos now for 3 days and I can honestly say I've gotten behind on my work because I just can't put down my phone from watching your videos they are truly awesome thank you very much and you show some really good tips and advice
Thanks.
"This is muriatic acid to dissolve rust" ...proceeds to grab it with bare hands and then takes shirt off
I panicked when I saw it😳
That's some nasty stuff it can damage your lungs and burn the heck out of your skin
acid isn't so dangerous, you can put your whole hand in some kinds of acids, just need to wash it off (just in a few minutes you'll want to wash it with the burning sensation)
when i was doing metal working, i remember an acid we were using, it probably was the same as this one, it's not really colored but if you get some on your skin it gets yellow and it starts to itch and then burn in 10/15 minutes
Alex Derange buddy chlorine burns you instantly
@@mrpanda2655 we are not talking about chlorine
Just love the inside of that truck bits missing everywhere wires hanging out etc etc etc Just love this young mans attitude Andrew you will live forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a suggestion my dad was a mechanic for years and he always told me if you have to replace the water pump that you should replace the thermostat at the same time.
Charles L. Scofield Jr. I second yours.. Save trouble later

It always amazes me watching guys working on cars and trucks like you do. I was never any good at that stuff. You're a bright young man. My hat's off to you. 👍
I love it. Your a young guy. But your teaching old school shit.wich still works. Keep up the good shot Mr.
The more I watch your videos the more and more I’m convinced the character Maru from “Planes: Fire Rescue” was based on you.
This man is a force of nature , More than just a handyman , Who wouldent be impressed by the views from the top of that container garage x whatever he's building on top now , 10 out of 10 Andrew , Your a good one , and to top it all off then we get the drone footage ,

Aside from your uncanny and amazing mechanical skills to repair and upkeep soooooo many things...your storytelling skills, camera use, and editing is top notch and near high quality professional level. Between you and Talasbuan, your two channels are the most under-rated but exceptionally good channels ion TH-cam. Keep up the great work, Andrew!
andrew repaired the truck transmission but "no one ever watched". i felt bad instantly. i am going to watch it. we support u andrew.

"looks good as new"
"Use spraypaint"

I have found that I need to watch the snowplow height to make sure I'm not blocking all the airflow through the radiator when driving down the road without plowing. It's amazing what a few inches up or down make to the engine temp. Your videos are a fun watch ... it is AMAZING all the stuff you do and work that you accomplish, AND still manage to film it all !!!
I appreciate the hell out of some Disturbed, great video man👍
I'm not having good luck, that's my wheel right there. 😂 The best part.
Driving with one hand, controlling drone with the other and patting the dog with a third no doubt!!!! Love it!
I envy you for being so versatile....and I absolutely love your lifestyle. God Bless You
I agree
God has and will continue to bless.
my friend and I were driving to our high school and right in front of the crosswalk where the students were waiting to cross the driveshaft fell off and rolled to the curb in front of mostly girls and they started to laugh ! he told me to go get it and I said dude you go its your car ! I was so embarrassed ! we didnt live it down for the rest of the year !!
3:36 That's what I call driving the wheels off your truck! Lol
that happened to me on my mud truck , damn tire hit a rut when i was going into a turn and broke all the studs off
drive it until the wheels fall off then put it right back on and keep on driving
Having the right equipment sure moves the job along! Nice work!
The yellow dot on the tire is where you align the valve stem. Just in case you were wondering.
Andrew go to a scrapyard and get new panels and tailgate for your truck that dosent have rust and Holes in them
I love you dude. You have the best videos on TH-cam period. I love how you aren’t scared of anything. You just jump right in there and go. Awesome job buddy.
Going back to watch some videos again. I love your reaction when your wheel rolls by you. Classic Andrew!
"I use grease on my lug nuts"... "There's my wheel right there"!
"Good as New"!
"That's a nice tailgate"!
And he says all this with a straight face! Laughing my ass off!~!
fyi-The yellow dot on new tires is to line up with the valve steam, to help balance tire.
in order to get the correct torque specs, you are supposed to clean and oil your wheelnuts/lugs.
@@SantaClaw
th-cam.com/video/X3ndeXiZUeM/w-d-xo.html
This video shows a good example of the difference.
