Terribly underrated. One of the best Castlevania tracks.
Cloud Castle and Original Sin are my favorite tracks of the game
After going to Castlevania Music University, studying hard for 15 years and earning my PhD, I have come to the conclusion that this is one of the best pieces of music in the series. Thank you.
Pfsh that's just a party university.
Having gone to the university of ears, I wholeheartedly agree with Tom L's statement.
The only better ones than this IMO is SOTN and CV4...
@@andreasfreij4485 Every Castlevania has jammers, complete Jammers. My favorite sountracks are probably CV4, Aria of Sorrow, SOTN, and Rondo of Blood.
@@gu3z185 Good choices. I think Curse Of Darkness and Lament Of Innocense has amazing soundtracks as well. Curse a little better IMO.
Underrated and serious kick-ass tune right here
I agree, my favorite Castlevania song overall :)
Belmont's revenge is such a great game
I want the remake with same Soundtrack adapted to our times.
One my favorite game on gameboy
With such an amazing soundtracks... One of the best on the original Gameboy.
@@BBGP.5003 there is a speed hack for the gb and gbc roms
@@BBGP.5003 I agree, it's definitely way better than The Adventure, and it is a great Game Boy game in its own right, but yeah, just too slow to properly enjoy and go back to
I just LOVE those three seconds at the start. The whole damn thing, of course. But that bit particularly. If I hear it, I instantly recognize it.
It's amazing how all of the dungeon tracks of this game have short but definitely amazing intros, just for you to hype yourself for the micro-second it takes for the level to display.
every time i'm playing this castlevania can't believe the game boy can support such an amazing sound and music. love this castlevania.
80/90's Konami: "a sequel to a pretty bad castlevania game for the gameboy? eh, guess I'll just crank out some mindblowingly good music."
I think the adventure was pretty good
@@vicrattlehead5614 it was pretty bad. It was really slow and the levels were like one straight line.
@@gu3z185 Eh, I enjoyed it. Belmont's Revenge was better though.
New Messiah has always made me think of fighting off monsters while on a carriage speeding through a burning forest. Something like in the Rondo opening stage but crazier.
Yeah me too I Overpowered against Monsters
How does the gameboy not catch on fire?
Nintendium, of course. Hardest material known to man.
That comment made my day :D
Virtual Protagonist best TH-cam comment ever
Gameboy do what Game Gear don't.
wait...
If a Game Boy can survive a bomb blast and a drop from a skyscraper, it can survive a fiery soundtrack.
I played this theme in my head a countless amount of times whenever I needed to amp myself to do stuff as a kid. Can’t believe I found this!
One of the best soundtracks in the entire castlevania series.... now that says a whole f***ing lot about this soundtrack...
+QShaque i agree i was like 10 when i heard this masterpiece
+QShaque Most of this game's soundtrack was fucking top notch, even the weak tunes were pretty decent. I could spend hours listening to the music with the tune select code.
They don't make Castelvanias like that no more...
they don't make Castlevanias, period. LMAO
And most likely never will now since Konami gave up and shifted to mobile platforms.
or just play bloodstained
One of the most energetic castlevania themes ever made, definitely up there as one of my all time favorites.
The remix of this in Castlevania ReBirth on Wii is amazing.
This whole soundtrack was amazing. Especially since it was just on the gameboy.
and a printer lol but this is just a 4bit sound. its brilliant
It's not 4 bit. It's 8-bit.
My favorite Castlevania track back from the og days of the very first game boy Nigga
Let's give it up for Christopher Belmont! The most underrated Belmont.
My favourite track from Belmonts Revenge.
me... at age 8 in 1992, traveling alone across the Atlantic on a 13 hour flight... game boy in hand and headphones on.... bring it on world...
Most folks and fans unfortunately don't seem to know of Christopher Belmont (being canon to boot) but he certainly has some of the best tunes. This and his theme from the previous game (and for some odd reason, unused in Castlevania Rebirth) "Battle of the Holy" are awesome.
100% true. This and Battle of the Holy are my all time favorite Castlevania tracks. Bloody tears etc. is so overused, I can't hear it anymore.
Just to clarify: "Battle of the Holy" did get arranged for Rebirth, but like you said it went unused, though it was included on the soundtrack as a bonus (in a medley with Lost Painting from SOTN).
You are now aware that the only official remix to this song is trapped on a forgotten Wiiware only release that can't be downloaded anymore.
Just beat this game and I gotta say. This is the best track in the game.
best game song, and one of the best game-boy songs of all time.
This why we need emulation.
Oh.
Oh my.
Ohhhhhh.
The soundtrack of this game is unbelievable!
thank you liam
krontaar how is the gameboy not on fire
Manthony Higgs lol I can imagine this level starting up and your Game Boy instantly bursting into flames in your hands while this epic music plays.
krontaar haha yes "how is the gameboy not on fire" i scrolled back in the vid 2 time to find out what game he ment, damn you woolie
I honestly feel like castlevania 2 on the gameboy might have one of the best soundtracks of the gameboy,
Still remember sitting in 3rd grade playing this and mario land during break time
Crystal Castle is always the first castle I choose so the first four seconds are very fitting.
One of my favourites tracks , i remeber me only turning on the GB to enjoy music BMG of this game ...
Holy shit thats a serious banger!
Takes a heart in a candle.
Eats a rib hidden a wall.
Extends a weapon from a chandelier.
Vanquished the room with (insert sound effect)
Dies to platforms.
Loves the Song.
(Dracula ponders)
This is what made me interested in music and synths at 4 yr old in 1992. My favorite Castlevania ost.
DAT FREKKIING BASS LINE
achem i am calm.
It's against the law to make a bad Castlevania OST
Harmony of Dissonance?
While likely not a popular opinion, i greatly enjoyed Harmony of Dissonance's soundtrack.
I didn't love it, but I enjoyed it pretty well for the most part. It just sounds sort of bad with the GBA compression.
Cancerous Commentor
True. I kinda want a remaster, but that's a pretty big dream. Lol.
I enjoyed HoD soundtrack greatly but not the boss themes but i loved aqueduct of dragons and clock tower
this game has a great soundtrack and this one is thy best
A song I thought should have gotten into smash.
You mean it isn't??! BRRUUUUH WTF nintendo
Wow I can't believe this is a Gameboy game! I missed out on this one.
Used in Castlevania Adventure Rebirth.
Synchs up perfectly with the Belmont STRUT OF DESTINY.
Love it. On par with Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears, and Beginnings.
Sorry i think you confused beginning with Aquarius
@@dragonator1012 Nope but Aquarius also kicks ass. 😎
Might be my favorite Castlevania track, but there are plenty of good ones to pick. Like the Mega Man OST, there are so many good tunes, let's thank the composers for all the joy they brought to our lives.
* Gameboy spontaneously combusts *
The memories... come flooding back.... such a good time
Hardest shit ever produced on that chip.
This Castlevania track is kickass. I've got it on my iPod so I can listen to it when I'm on the go :)
I dream one day someone would do a Heavy Metal Tribute to this album (specially for the first screen of Dracula's Castle, WAY HEAVY!!! \m/ )
It's not exactly heavy metal, but check out the M&K Company. Some of their remixes are pretty good, and easy to find on youtube
It's sorta been done. Individual artists have done metal remixes of songs from this game. Just search around youtube and you'll find some great ones, especially for this song
Michael Prado
Konami actually did some metal and rock remixes of random themes in the _Dracula Battle_ albums. They sounds absolutely bad-ass.
Michael Prado I loves me some barbarian metal! *\m/*
Michael Prado do it
This game had no business being as good as it was. Made by a skeleton crew between two miserable games. Wtf.
It's criminal that it wasn't re-released on the 3DS virtual console.
They should just have skipped the first game and just put this on 3DS virtual console instead
Legends is good though...
@@VGPorage If it makes you feel better, Konami is putting the game on the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, with Castlevania 1, 3, and Super Castlevania IV. What the other 4 titles will be, we'll never know. Apparently, they skipped Simon's Quest, as well.
Luckily this one is the Castlevania 2 on the upcoming Castlevania Anniversary Edition
It's finally getting its fair share of recognition
@@91Coolepinguin YESH!! YESH!!
Whether you come from the original game or the MAGMML2 level it was in, I think it’s safe to say both are a PAIN to beat.
this track gets me pumped
This song is metal as fucking Hell, Gameboy had some bad ass soundtracks, this was one of the best.
Man, they went all out with this one...
Thanks Liam
Same Here
Was used to the Wiiware version of this. Liam reminded me of the original though, lol.
The game boy is now on fire
He's super right: it sounds like something is breaking.
+Broken Technika who is Liam?
This game has lots of underrated sound tracks . I still dont understant why they didnt used at any other castlevania game .
My favorite CV game of all time.!!!! The Soundtrack is a fucking BIG reason for this!!!! LEGENDARY!! Soundtrack
Love how this is seemingly the same sound font as Operation C yet it has its own completely different style.
Same composer.
1:02 incredible use of the Gameboys relatively primitive voices.
Jurassic Park and The Smurfs on GameBoy are also incredible considering the sound hardware.
@@supmattboy ooh I haven't heard those I'll have to check them out
Never played the game when I was younger, no Gameboy, but I LOVED the artwork for it! I had some of the BIG game book guides and one of which was the Gameboy guide and it had this in it. Cloud, Crystal, Plant, and Rock castle..though i swear i called one of them the Mud castle, all had unique looks to them.
Actually started playing the game. And THIS is amazing.
Great Score, thank you for posting!
The fact that this didn't get covered on either of the Perfect Selection Dracula Battle albums is absolutely criminal.
Sigh, at least we got Ripe Seeds... and uh, Road of Enemy, I guess.....
ᵍᵒᵈᵈᵃᵐᵐᶦᵗ
This slaps so hard. One of the top game tracks ever.
It a really great game. I enjoyed it so much when I was a kid. Still enjoy playing it
Castlevania ReBirth version of this is amazing.
Gawd! This song is good!
This alone is why the two Adventure games are some of my favourite GB games period, the music in both games is fucking beautiful but the second game steps it up to a huge degree. I thought stage 3 of the first game had good music but this is on another level completely.
For an 8 bit game, this sounds fucking amazing.
80's and 90's Konami music was simply 🔥🔥🔥 How they managed to get this out of a Gameboy still amazes me!
I could listen to this song for hours.
Fucking Masterpiece.
Best song in any Castlevania ever.
*The only downside with playing this on a god damn ti 89 titanium calculator IS the lack of sound.*
Que poco reconocimiento tiene este juego. Es el mejor de la historia en todo, sobretodo en la banda sonora.
I really like this track! Brings back memories :)
Great track
I never played this as a kid but had the first one. Ordered an original cart a week or 2 ago. and my gawd this is the best OST. it's like the original trilogy from NES but with a gritty sound.
Best song ever in a Castlevania game.
Such an awesome OST!!
This and Original Sin are my favorite songs. They're super catchy.
Heh thank god they made this game. I need a gameboy now just for this. I have just played and beaten the first 3 on my nes which i got in 2021 (don't ask) makes it even better since im the belmont of this game.
This song rules. Hell, the whole game rules.
great soundtrack
This game was such a breath of fresh air after the original Adventure (which I do feel is rather charming in an archaic way). Talk about an improved sequel in every conceivable way!
Dammit I wish people didn't treat the Adventure games like trash. Both of the games are awesome, and the wiiware version also kicks ass!
This game reminds me when I played Operation C on Lameboy Emulator on Nintendo DS
Fucking epic, made me change my life. Konami use to be so goooood
Such an underrated game....
Castlevania and 80’s music? Pure bliss
Man that Cover:
Cristopher: There is the Exit hurry!
I been chased
"Runs toward to the Gate"
Christopher: Not good, dead end! If i fall here, its over!
Damn i have no other Choice!
Turns around to Whip the crap out of his Enemy.
The first three seconds play when he says "Damn, I have no other choice!"
Whoever composed this, murdered it cuz it's the shit
Masterpiece.
Many years ago, I saw someone posted: "The monster about to be whipped seems to be saying 'Noooooo, the music's too gooooood"
I loved that comment xD
The song remains AWESOME after all these years
playing this game in my cell phone is awesome whit piano version
gameboyadvance45 did you see the smart boy from Hyperkin?
Chris should get some credit for getting 2 Simon level adventures and great game design. Fight me.
This is so f*cking awesome ! played the game when i was a kid a million times and never been able to beat dracula :(
Great potential for Game Boy. This reminds me about Aria of Sorrow. What a game to GBA...
All I want to hear is this song done with electric guitar and a bass duet. That would be the best cover ever. I would pay ridiculous sums of money to hear that. *drools over the delicious sounds of riffs*
+DarkKnightTrinity castlevania for wii arcade man , you can find this masterpiece remastered
+Master yisus Castlevania Adventure Rebirth for WiiWare.
+Bob Jones In fact I would say there's no bass guitar at all in that version, they use an electric guitar for the lower notes and a synthesizer for the higher ... which doesn't do anything for me.
DarkKnightTrinity
oh, I guess I didn't read everything you said. I was just pointing out that it was a good remix, imo
+Bob Jones It's pretty good and that's cool if you like the remix, but personally for me there is something about how heavy the bass sounds are in this original version that I really like.
This game. Yes.
One thing I love about the game boy is that it had stereo sound output, that's something that was sorely lacking on nes although it can be added to one today.
