  • Fried chicken from the city of Hat Yai is one of Thailand's most famous regional dishes, but... what is it exactly? We dive into the bubbling oil to find out, encountering yellow biryani rice, piles of crispy fried shallots, a sweet gloopy dip, wads of sticky rice and three very excellent stalls along the way.

When I visit Thailand I stay in my grandma's house and there's this resturant near my area that cook really amazing fried chicken. Best fried chicken I ever had to this day. Nothing can beat it.

Is your grandma's house in the South? There are a few places I found really good fried chicken in Bangkok run by Thai Muslim women. So good! And the fried shallots!

@@fantasticfoodsearch5150 No it's in Don Mueang (in Bangkok) close to the airport. I believe they are from North East but I could be wrong. I've never been to Hat Yai so I don't know how amazing it taste compare to ones in my area. Definitely need to visit Hat Yai just for the chickens.

Nice video man. Looks so delicious! In Indonesia we call it Ayam goreng, but I think this one is better.
