This is one of my most wanted Marvel Legends. The Retro Spidey figs are some of Hasbro's best.
The goofy first appearance head is the one I like most. Reminds me of his earliest appearances and the original Secret Wars comic where he formed a bond with the Wasp. Now we need a new Wasp figure in her purple and green costume from that story.
I received mine in a padded pouch. But thankfully no damage.

Mine came in yesterday, in box, with about 1 and some foot of bubble wrap around it.
Dare I say minty fresh!! Had mine preordered since it went up and didn't mark it as gift...guess I just got lucky.

I finally got him shipped to my country, and he is indeed very amazing, he is one of my favorite marvel legends. I have no gripes with the figure, but I would have loved a soft goods coat and digital printed or whatever it's called for the eyes instead of normal paint.
Thaks for the "gift" tip. I open Legends anyway, but I'll keep it in mind for my SW TVC orders.
Mine will be arriving Saturday, according to Walmart. Really looking forward to it. I like this look more than the BAF one. Just wish he was a little bit bigger.

Lizards size just fluctuates in the comics. At the start he really wasn't that much taller then Spider-man. Especially when Spidey was bulked up all those decades ago.
Then he went through a giant phase like how he was in the movie. And now it's ???. Like it's a mindless clone now?
Point is like a lot of things, depends on the artists you are a fan of.
The figure is good but we really needed a secure swivel on that tail connection. That or a bigger peg.

I'd like to see something between the BaF and Retro version. The Retro is ore lizard like and less dinosaur like, but the BaF is more monstrous.

Is this based on the design of the character in the animated series? Lizard of the animated show had red eyes and slightly bulkier build, this looks a bit on the leaner side in comparison.

@@MCUcollector24 thats rather disappointing-this line of figures is greatly inconsistent as far as their design choices are concerned-they are basing some of them on their appearances in the '90s animated series whereas others on what they looked like in the comics.I wish they would focus on just one particular style for the sake of consistency and nostalgia factor-personally i prefer the animated look and thus this lizard was a bit of a disappointment for me(Even though it looks quite good).
I was rewatching your review now that I have the figure and I think the thing of missing wash on the legs is something consistent because mine that I open doesn't have it on the right leg either, and it seems like the one I have to keep on the box doesn't have wash on either legs but I'm not sure about the left leg because it seems to have at least a bit of it.
It looks good but I wish it was bigger. Or taller I mean, if it stood just a bit taller it would be perfect but if I see this thing in store I’d cop it. Maybe, these figs are getting kinda high $. Thanks for the great review tho 👍🏽

I just got this today and it's a really good figure, hats off to Hasbro on this one. My only confusion is with this figure dropping and it being loosely based on the animation show do you think we will see repaints of these figures in that new Spiderman VHS box line coming out? For the most part the figures will all look the same except the doc oc and chameleon looked quite different in that show.
Actually, it's based on the comics.
I received my pair in an unpadded plastic pouch. No padding. No box. Literally a plastic bag with a label on it. A tiny bit damage. 🙄
Mine came in a BOX WITH AIR PACKETS and the card was still damaged.

This lizard looks like the one from 1967 TV show😉 I have some complain with this figure. Becasue the heads are to smaller for a 🦎 Well they use the same body for TOAD. Made a comparison with that figure and you will see I'm right about it ✅
