Titanic sunk over 100 years ago in a pitch black moonless night with very dim lights (light bulbs from back than were significantly dimmer than light bulbs of today). Survivor accounts differ so drastically. Nobody really knows how the sinking looked like exactly. All of the theories are just that... theories.
It came nowhere near the bow. The bow section planed off, moving forward as well as down, because its' natural shape was to move through the water that way. The stern section imploded near the surface (underwater) and freefell like a bomb tumbling and spiraling while its' structure tore itself apart from the flow of the current through and around it (literally wrapping the Poop Deck upside-down over itself), ripping out the after well deck, and scouring out all its' innards. It hit the bottom like an airplane at full speed hitting the ground from cruising altitude. Both sections are, in fact, about 1,970 feet apart, with the stern section pointing in the OPPOSITE direction of the bow section, and (unlike the bow section) SO mangled and destroyed, it's virtually unrecognizable as a part of a ship.
