Hasn't anybody (but me) noticed the most incredibly entertaining aspect of this video yet? Sammy said it within the first 4 seconds. "Jerry since we're on SPlIT -SCREEN"... Suddenly it hit me. There in 2 different cities... talking to AND "HEARING" each other AT THE SAME TIME! ... GET IT! It's 1981there, BEFORE the time of this "DDD" (DAMN DIGITAL DELAY) that were all forced to live with now, AND accept GRACIOUSLY. Hell... They're singing together in perfect synchrony! In 100% "ANALOGUE -AUDIO"! The same way we USED to be able to talk to each other on a telephone call... AND ENJOY IT! But CAN'T now so these damn "VoIP and Cell phone companies can make BILLIONS of dollars forcing us to be CONTENT with the $#/+ they hand us and say "BE HAPPY "! "Just forget the quality and comfort we all had with "The Bell Telephone System " that we just HAD to destroy because after all... A phone is"just a phone ". Who'll notice the difference. To all of you I say "YA SEE " damit! Now it's too late! REAL telephones are gone forever, and now we're stuck with this $#/+ . I'm going to SAVE this video specifically to show to these "YUPPY" little bastards that work in the communications industry now... And SAS me out everytime we have a conversation about "MY-TIME", and how back then you could watch a news correspondent at a news desk talking to a field reporter without the reporter standing there after being asked a question (looking like a damn IDIOT saying nothing back for 3 seconds waiting for a damn computer to stitch the audio back together before they can hear it! Well... That's my take on it. Oh yeah... Enjoyed seeing "Sammy and Jerry" alive again. Helps me forget the Hell we all have to live in today!

You suddenly don't realize how great someone was until we loose them. We take them for granted because we have them and see them on television. And then all of a sudden you have time to think and reflect on the pass and then you realize how truly great they were. It seems like we don't have real people in America anymore because we don't have real entertainers anymore. Everything is all fake with the worst kind of debauchery you can ever imagine, and then they get paid millions to live in mansions with no talent compare to the real entertainers like Sammy Davis Jr.

It's such a shame after how many years Jerry Lewis did the MDA telethons and they don't even have it any more.. not one bit after all of Jerry's hard work and love for his "Kids"..
Sammy Davis Jr. on the other hand is Soo talented in so many different ways, he could sing anything.. he danced so smoothly and his acting was impeccable!! Jerry Lewis also was talented with his acting in movies and so many times I cried laughing.. Ah, memories!!

Can't believe it's 2022 and I've been on this earth since 1980 and I'm just watching this for the first time, I feel ashamed 😂.
There are entertainers and then superstars and then there is Sammy Davis jnr. Wow! were has my head been for the last 42 years
Now I know what my grandad was going on about everytime he mentioned his name.
He will probably be looking down laughing at me rite now 😂

I think Jerry is so used to being the one in control to direct what's happening in skits.......that he's kinda stunned a little bit when asked or told to do something Ab Lib.........he's more empowered when he's directing and doing the telling.......

These guys loved each other. They totally respected each other. They had so many great times together, women all over the place, the only way for the party to end was get arrested, get old or die. I wonder though if Jerry felt left out since Sinatra didn't include him in the Brat Pack.

How could he include it if Dean Martin was there?

Look t the bling Sammy was wearing...I declare him the Godfather of bling, him and Liberace were the first to be bold enough to flaunt bling in public. Those were the days.

The first song that Sammy scats is not called “Scatting”, it’s actually called “Move” (as you can hear him call out), and it was arranged by Denzil Decosta Best.

Love them both. So talented. I remember watching the Marathon with my parents in the 70's. Would laugh when Jerry Lewis would cough and get an cigarette. And My Dad would have to get one. So from then on when someone coughs we say smoke another one. Weird but we had fun
