Vinod, you can get long term work once you find the right clients. Some clients have long term projects and once they are happy with you, they continue the contract. Upwork is great.
Regarding the skills, what are your skills? it depends what you are good and strong at. If you are not good a MySQL then even if that is in demand, you can not say you can do that. Unless, you actually go and learn MySQL, then kudos to you. Search for your specific skills.
I've gotten what some might call "well-written" negative feedback on other (selling) platforms that were in reality undeserved and written by an unreasonable person. People like this have a lot of time on their hands I've noticed. So I think it's very important to read what's being written and consider that maybe this was just one of those difficult clients that can never be satisfied and expect way more than what they paid for. (People can also LIE.) Think about it. Someone has all great reviews but one "well-written" negative review. It's probably the reviewer.
I have a few questions. Why can't I work on this freelance platform on the territory of the Russian Federation? Does this have anything to do with the military operation in Ukraine? Sorry, but the common people of Russia should not suffer because of this. Not professionally.

Hello. I use upwork as freelancer. Few days ago I received email that my freelancer account was placed a temporary hold because of irregular activity, and I have to send some proof of identification. I then send my ID and my account statement from bank, and then 24 h later my account was got suspended ? I can send my passport, health card, driver's license...to confirm my identity I don't understand term "irregular activity". I don't know exactly what it is ? How can I retrieve my account to continue working ?? How long will it take ? Please help me to resolve my problem. Thanks in advance. Nikola

Hi Azam, we appreciate your feedback. At Upwork, the terms of any contract, including the rate, are for clients and freelancers to decide upon together. Any freelancer who is not satisfied with the rate offered can negotiate a higher rate or find a project they consider to be more suitable.
If you did attend or watch after this particular episode then there answer is within; and in part what Upwork has responded to you. Try to market and distinguish yourself as relates to what you do. I give "these answers" while I myself am faced with similar situation as you; but am still hopeful and grateful for Upwork's possibility offering.

Then there is a problem, most freelancers would not know and the competition would be for the lowest offer, and it is so. My friends are bidding for 10$ for a job taking 6 hours to complete. Great workers charging so low. Oops this video was an eye opener. So I can go for charging higher than the budget limit. I wish Upwork starts leaving the price box blank as most of the time the budget is extremely low. Anyway great reply and great video.
