Both my husband and I wore converse for our wedding day. People always ask why, and this video explains it all! I never wear heals, always flats and I wanted to be able to wear them again. Plus it's what I wanted. People never seem to judge heels but flats tend to be questioned. My only tip is to go with your gut. I adore these videos so much.

I have just spent the last 3 months looking for my wedding shoes and I was so disillusioned with everything that I saw that I decided to be different. I chose an absolutely amazing high-heeled Ferragamo pair that are purple (my bridesmaids dresses match and it is my fiancee's favourite colour) and I know that apart from feeling amazingly special on the day I will wear them again and again and again.
Don't fear to be different girls!! It is YOUR day so you should do it YOUR way :-)

My sister sprained her ankle quite badly two week before her wedding. Out went her wedding shoes and in came the (new and clean) Chuck Taylors that she could actually wear with an ankle brace. Ended up looking adorable as ever.
I had Cole Haan Nike Air shoes for my wedding and they were so comfortable! I brought some flats with me just in case, but I never even needed to put them on! The shoes in this video are gorgeous though! Great tips!

Thanks for the tips guys! I am storing all of these helpful tips away in my brain for when my big day arrives (which is not any time soon!) I definitely wouldn't rewear my wedding shoes, I want my groom to write a message on the sole so they will be very important memorabilia and I'd possibly hand them down if I had a daughter! I would most definitely not be wearing stilettos, you'd have them on all day long and I'd want to enjoy my big day without aches and pains! Freya's shoes are amazing! x

I strongly recommend getting shoes that are long lasting, ive never been married but my mum got good quality and i am now able to wear them and they are lovely, its a really nice idea to think that your daughter (possibly granddaughter) could wear your shoes later on, i wore my mums to her funeral (not trying to put a damper on it though sorry !! lol)

Not getting married for ages? Fleur, I bet it's going to be there sooner then you think, only like 10.5 months to go. And time does fly. :) BTW, I am not getting married myself, but, I do think that you two have created a channel with a whole bunch of useful information for brides to be.
My tip is to get an amazing pair of heels!! And then .... Choose a really nice pair of flats for if your feet start to hurt ( or you have to go outside or whatever) just so that you have the option!!

I've got 3 pairs of wedding shoes for mine, 1 for day, 1 for evening and a flat pair for when my feet get sore! They still cost less than my hubby to be's 1 pair though all together, because all mine were on sale, so I think that means it's allowed :-p x

There needs to be a wedge wedding shoe. My sister got married on a beach and we spent months trying to find wedges but there was none anywhere! She eventually just had to go for a smaller heel even though she sank into the sand and then bought 'just married' flip flops for later on in the day.
