this person understands the true speedrun strategy: contacting the developer and getting them to change the slow parts of the game

The developer is mostly just one guy so he keeps in touch with his fanbase a lot. He talks a lot on his discord server with fans
If you’ve ever played Fancy Pants, you’ll realize how hard it is to keep up momentum like they’re doing. The physics are finicky as hell haha

Yeah, it's a platformer with the handling of a skateboarding game.
i don't know how, but the physics are perfect for me, it's like the best physics in a 2d game for me, all the physics that all the games had since 2009.
i am very good with them.

yea, this is actually the second console release, I played the OG console game wayyy back in the day. Like 2010. I didn't know the dev made a follow up to that!
Also really cool for the dev to give a speedrun QoL change with fast text.
I think there was an XBLIG game on the 360 a few years ago as well.
This is actually the second console game. The first one was on the 360 and PS3 in 2012, where you can also unlock FPA World 1 and 2, while SFPA is its own thing in a way.
I'm pretty sure this is another sequel. I remember a different one that was on the Xbox 360 arcade store.
I came here to honor flash being no longer supported because this series is the first thing I think of using flash.
This makes me a little emotional, I remember playing these as a kid and now look at it.
Yeah I can't forget the story or the music from being 8-10 years old playing flash games because my parents wouldn't let me play anything but Runescape and flash games
Hey, just want to pop in and say thank you to everyone involved in this run. It was so much fun to run this game for AGDQ!
Also want to clarify something that I didn't explain very well in the run, and that caused some confusion. I played this on the beta, which while it requires a password to access, is available to anyone on the Borne Games discord. It's encouraged that speedrunners use the beta, as it helps test new updates, as well as having some useful tools for practicing. The only reason I played the beta for this run is that my computer died a couple weeks before agdq, and I couldn't really test the new update for bugs before Brad pushed it live (which he did like 5 hours after my run). I'm thankful that Brad has been so kind to the speedrunning community.
But yea! Hope you all enjoyed the run! I hope more people will come out and start running this game. It's an insane speedgame, and if you ever enjoyed the Fancy Pants games on flash, you'll love this game too!

if ever there was a game designed for speedrunning it was Fancy Pants. the entire series of games is all about playflow.
it's a weird case for me where I absolutely LOVE the game design but can't stand actually playing it because my obsessive completionist hangups just plain won't let me.
