- Joe flattens the file spine on his SOG Powerpint Multitool. This tool comes with jagged protrusions on the file spine from the factory. A few dozen passes with a Leatherman Surge Diamond file and the work is done! Other diamond files should also work. A regular file will only skate

Fidgeting with it for a week straight helped. Light lubrication and just opening and closing a lot. Clean off the lube when it gets dirty and reapply

Mine took about a week of breaking in. It should get smoother the more you use it
that oil could be years old sitting in storage, probably dried up a little. Put some mineral oil on it. Best for metal, it's just super refined car oil. 99.8% and now it's food grade. They make gummy bears out of it. Johnson puts perfume in it and sells it as baby oil.

The back of the file is toothy and unfinished. I didn’t like it. I used a Diamond file to make it smooth and level

@@c.katana1562 Hmmm, I am not sure if you are joking but if you are not, please read carefully for two reasons. First, according to the Washington Post, approximately 10 % (not 1%) of people are left-handed. Second, it is called mechanical engineering. Look at the SOG Power Pint and how the tools fit. They made the scissors left-handed so it could fit in the tool. If SOG would have made right-handed scissors, then it would not fit and close properly.
