    Had the same issue. Watched your video and was able to replace my water valve in 15 minutes. Great video! Thanks!

    Mine leaked from day one, Campers Inn told (me) to call Dometic. After dealing with alot of stuff on brand new camper falling apart and Campers Inn not standing behind anything and never returning my calls we lost interest in trying to use camper. Buyer beware Campers Inn doesnt stand behind anything after the sale. So glad we did not pay for an extended non existent warrantee. I may try to find the part someday thanks for the video.

    • @TheGAutomotiveAndMore

      That does suck that the place you bought it won't take care of you. Campers in general are not made to last if you do not take care of them. Thanks for watching

    Had similar problem with our 2012 Springdale. Did some research and watched a number of videos on the repair. Your video is by far the best of them all. Simple, clear, to the point. Very well done . Good job. As a side note let me recommend that Amazon has available an upgraded, higher quality valve made by Beech Lane for $20. Highly rated.

    Thank you so much! I fixed the leak in our 28 foot 2006 Kodiak exactly how you explained, although I used a few different tools. I used a 7 mm short ratchet and unscrewed the screw using a light and mirror. Being a 72 year old female with no muscles & n experience, I was able to easily take out the part with a short screw driver on the clamps and put everything back together again with no leaks! If I can do it anyone can.

    Just replaced mine in our brand new unit after the first flush. Found a leak whenever I flushed it coming from the back. The plunger ball was passing water through it when it was depressed. Easy and cheap to fix. I also added PTFE tape to the fresh water inlet connection.

    • @TheGAutomotiveAndMore
      @TheGAutomotiveAndMore  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's great. Do you have a water pressure regulator? I would recommend one because you never know what type of pressures campgrounds have. Thanks for watching

    Thanks for the video! This is the exact same problem we have with our 2015 Georgetown Forrest River. It sounds to me like a product quality deficiency problem because ours was leaking from the seam of the valve as well during our most recent trip. Thanks again, we will be repairing ours as soon as the part arrives.

    Thanks for the vid! I think mine is leaking occasionally from where the foot pedal contacts it due to increased pressure from time to time as the water heater cycles on and pressurizes the system a bit more while on city water. I can't exactly see where it's leaking, but I'll probably just go ahead and replace the entire valve here shortly. Definitely don't want to have any significant pools of water forming. Most I've seen so far has just been enough to clean up with a paper towel or two, but I'm fulltiming, so at this point, I get a small amount of leakage every other day or so.

    • @TheGAutomotiveAndMore
      @TheGAutomotiveAndMore  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Better safe than sorry. A water leak never gets better and you don't want it to start leaking when you are not there. Thanks for watching

      Do you have the water hooked up and on? If so the valve could be bad. Thanks for watching

    • @TJ-qz6hr
      @TJ-qz6hr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheGAutomotiveAndMore Yes, everything else in the RV works but when I push the pedal down there is not even the slightest sound of water running anywhere. I just bought this rv used and didn’t know if there was some hidden valves somewhere or not, I have no manuals. Thanks for the reply.

    • @TheGAutomotiveAndMore
      @TheGAutomotiveAndMore  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TJ-qz6hr Ok so this is what I would do. First look for a valve. But I bet there is not one. Next I would cut off the water and run a sink to depressurize the lines. Now you need 2 people, disconnect the water line to the toilet valve, put it in a bucket and have the other person turn on the water and see if you have water at that water line . If so the water valve is bad.

    I bought a motorhome 5 months ago and the seller installed this toilet just to sell and was never used. Problem is there is way too much water supply line jammed between it and the wall. So much that even with no water in the line I can't even budge the damn thing. It snapped this part all to hell. I wonder if he would have been that careless if he was keeping it? Doubtful.

    :28 Saying you went to Michigan might make people think that going there was the problem. Not necessary to tell people where you went or the back story. Just get to the tutorial. 2:30 How can you be "like" I just thought it clipped in? You either SAID that or you THOUGHT that, but you can't be "like" that. 4:07 Don't say, "Let me" do this or "let me" do that. How are we going to stop you from doing something? 4:15 We don't need to know about the tripod. Just get on with the tutorial. After 5 minutes I couldn't watch any more. Too much fussing with the camera. How about a mirror to help you take out the screw?
