Playing one-shots directly from the library search result is the big revelation for me from this video. That's something I'm going to try going forward.

Yeah, that was the bit that pushed me over the edge to make this 'tip' video right away. It actually works super quickly when finding spells and things. :-)

Hey Ben - Love the new vid. Been a superscriber for several years now - but haven't played RPGs with the sound set in quite some time. There was a lot of new looks there. Question - are there "descriptors" (or ability to add) to types of music for searching (e.g. tense, creepy, somber). Otherwise, an extensive knowledge is needed of what all is available, and which sound sets its in, and where to look. So for instance instead of just battle music if the PCs are navigating a dangerous ledge with lots of skill tests and potential death while sneaking into a lair, and GM just looking for some anxious sounding tension music they can find music based on that descriptor need.

Hey Ben, this looks wonderful. Any chance the desktop app will be ever updated to work more like this and less like... it works right now? The experience of using the desktop app is becoming worse and worse as more and more soundsets are being added, it's becoming impossible to manage, search and sift through. I imagine I can switch to the online player (I imagine that can be used for home sessions as well), but that requires available internet connection and there may be some lags at times. Also, all servers seem to be at 200+ms ping in the central EU. So the online app isn't necessarily optimal choice for home sessions in my mind, and I would surely appreciate the desktop app being updated to the functionality of the online app. Either way, thank you for this!

was that toilet flush sound at 13 seconds part of your sound board? 😆

Lolz. That's some sort of freaky distant monster roar! Particularly scarey I suppose, if you have a fear of toilets?!?!? :-D

So how do my remote players hear the sounds I generate on their remote player and do my players have to pay to have this ability?

Only the Game Master needs to have a sub. Players play for free. See www.syrinscape.com/online/ for info to get it set up. :-)

Is it also possible in the app?

The version of the online player in the video doesn't look like the browser Masters bit. Is this version something that is part of getting the subscription? This interface seems more managable than the broswer one I am looking at (being able to click on moods without automatically playing them for example).

Hi Dirty 20, this sounds like a good sort of questions for the forums or a support email where you can share a screencap of exactly what you mean and we can reply in kind. Contact us there? :-)

Can you add your own sounds and music to this ?
