    Whenever I watch your video I think of suburban dogs. Some may get walked but others spend time flopped on driveways waiting for owners return. Your dogs are the fortunate ones.

    Thanks for answering my bogey bogey question Clark 👍

  • @dougallmcmillan8970
    @dougallmcmillan8970 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Rather than NT slang. Records show bogey joined the Australian English language from the Sydney aboriginal Dharuk peoples language where the word meant to bathe or swim. It probably travelled Australia wide as slang used by explorers and others who opened up the country

    • @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry
      @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They were using it in that area pre 1940 at least. Probably a lot of that went on as most explorers had scouts with them from other tribes

    Clark I'd have a few beers and hours conversation with a smelly ol' trapper over a myriad of others I can think of! My friend stayed with me at the weekend, his beautiful daughter works in an office coffee shop. She's been asked out several times every week but refuses them all as they only talk about money, they have nothing else about them; dull boring and no life experiences. You on the other hand could probably do a talking show at the Edinburgh Fringe, just sit up there and talk about your life experiences and where the self-centred politicians and companies are going wrong and how much damage they are really doing. Love your channel and love seeing Skunk pop-up, it's great to see him. God Bless.

    Thanks for another great year Clark.i I hope that you and your family (both 2&4 legged) have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.will you have red deer or red nosed venison this year, I was also wondering as someone who has only tried red and fallow venison what Australian species you prefer on your plate. I was also wondering whether I should be toasting Skunk as part of my fallen comrades ritual with Fireball,Bundy, Glenfiddich or beer. Regards Mark from Redlands.

      Thank you for your support. We all reckon that Rusa ribs, off a big old stag, done in the campoven by Judy, simply cannot be beaten by anything. Big call but wait till you try them.
      Skunk and I would sometimes sit with a "Sheepdog" (Peanut Butter) whiskey and talk to each other, or I would talk and he would chip in with his remarkable repertoire of noises.

      Do you have bears in Australia!? Bears can be a huge problem where they are not hunted, not just an inconvenience. National Parks have bears that tear open cars, cabins and houses looking for food. They can devastate deer fawn and elk calves in the spring if their population is left unchecked.
