    Japan did originally want to invade Australia until they considered the distance and resources that it would require. They then amended the plan to try and isolate Australia from the USA as they recognised that Australia would be the logistics base for forces trying to counter them. The fighting retreat over Kokoda, the denial of Milne Bay and the desperate action in the Battle of the Coral Sea put paid to that plan as well.

    Those bush wasps ? if you carry a spray tin of Clear ( sold where they sell cheap spray cans of paint ), a few dollars from a junk shop ( keep it in the truck ? and give the nest a quick squirt & run when the paint dries they die as they can no longer fly and go hard . We have done it to hornet nests under the eves of the house at night no staining the house as its just a clear coat but a lot of ones you dont get , touch others and get it on them too so they get stuck together ...a cheap way to give them the S#its LOL

    Agree with your comments regarding the outcomes in WW2. However we are not one Australia, what we have done too, with and for our Aboriginal and Islander population since colinization has not worked, cannot work and will never work, something has to change, is the voice to parliment the answer? perhaps not but if not then WHAT? Saying NO is not a soution! I see nothing in the voice regarding giving anything back, it is about giving control of indiginous affars to the indiginous, making them responsabile for there own destiny and cementing that in the constitution preventing the political handball that is iniginous affairs. Lets face it the federal gov spends something like 5.4 Billion over 4 years on 984000 people, I dont see thousands of indiginous millionares walking around so perhaps getting rid of the blood suckers syphoning wealth away from the indiginous population might be a good thing.

The aboriginal people of Australia have much, state governor, parliamentarians, theologians, business owners, sports stars, artists, painters, singers, actors, and everything else on offer. If you name them all the list is long. As Australia's we should be proud of individual achievement. Cheers

    Stop using the term ‘First Nations’ Clarke…your playing into the contrived political narrative that underpins the Voice….use Aboriginal or Indigenous instead. There never were any First Nations in Australia, just well over 200 different tribes or language groups bounded by geology such as river systems and hills or ranges or topographical variances. First Nations to describe Indigenous inhabitants is a relatively recent political terminology pinched from Canada…it never applied here up until 20 years ago.

    Hi Clark hope you are well. I really like your videos very interesting and informative indeed. But I dont like that you use them as a political platform to espouse what you think is right or wrong. Aboriginal people fought and died in both world wars for this country and vietnam and probably every other skirmish Australia has been dragged into. And they weren,t overpaid oversexed or over here like some who came here under the pretext to save our country but didn,t respect our country or our men and women. Ever heard of the battle of Brisbane? I dont disrespect you or your opinions at all everyone has a right to say what they are thinking whether it be right wrong or indifferent. As a politician you make a great dog trapper. Politics and Politicians are destroying this great country of ours so please dont add to the rabble. Please stay safe. Regards Noel Bush. PS There is a book called not quite men no longer boys. It was written by an aboriginal gentleman who served his our country in the Vietnam war it,s a really good read. Have a look at it if you can find a copy. Namaste.

    • @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry
      @ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good example of racism at its worst Noel. I regard Aboriginal people as Australians, so when I said "Australian soldiers" they were absolutely and totally included, as were the PNG people who were under our umbrella at the time as well. You can sit on your ass and do nothing to stop the slide into socialism we are witnessing but I sure as hell will not, even if my opinions are just from a lowly "dog trapper". You do not know what else I have done but feel like you have a right to judge. Bugger off.

  • @LeonieBurney
    @LeonieBurney ปีที่แล้ว

    Usually enjoy your videos, but your comments during this one were insensitive, why should the aboriginal peòple be grateful for those who fought for the country, have you forgotten what happened to them during colonisation? This has really upset me.

    • @intothenight1993
      @intothenight1993 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can’t change the past. I’m not an aboriginal but I sure am grateful for the men and women that gave their lives for this country and my freedom. It doesn’t matter the colour of someone’s skin or their race. If it wasn’t for servicemen we most likely wouldn’t be here. There is nothing insensitive about that. It is a fact. Yes the aboriginals were treated badly but it goes both ways and it’s history that can’t be changed but can be learnt from.

      My apologies but there was nothing insensitive about what I said. I have stood with the island people, on shores still holding the remains of WW2 debris and these were their words. They all salute our vets. We have to be one people, one race, Australians

      @@intothenight1993 Do you think life was any better for the convicts who were sent here? Do you think life was any better for the hardships endured by the first settlers? It all sound bad from the comforts of the twenty-first century but we have all endured and that's what matters.

      @@intothenight1993 exactly, your arent Aboriginal, you cant say they were treated badly " but". Everyone knows you cant change history, but be sensitive about acknowledging it, and who should be grateful and who had it imposed on them.

      @@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry of course they salute our vets, a lot of their family are vets, my issue was around not acknowledging what happened prior to WW1 and the fact you make it sound like we are all free and have the life we have because of the vets, aboriginal people were suffering the affects of colonisation before the war and after.

      My Uncle was at Sandakan, a Japanese death camp in Borneo. If they got to Australia , there would be no aboriginals alive today. Young Australians have no idea of what happened back then.

      Exactly. Watch the comments please and try to get this across to some of the poor souls who have no clue what almost happened and could happen again.
