  • DIY heater for the outhouse: The first day the outdoor temperature was 48° to 50° F and it maintained 68° inside. I later found the board that I use to cover the vent in the winter had been moved out about 4 to 6 inches and much more outside air was flowing in. I did not have time to run another test. Hope to be back out this coming weekend and I will check to see if it does any better. I built the heater to operate using Chafing fuel and have not experienced any problems with it in the building. I highly encourage anyone that is thinking of making a heater like this to follow the safety recommendations for the fuel. You must have the proper ventilation to use this without venting the flue pipe out of the structure.

A little bit of snow…not too bad. Get to try the tractor out on snow removal for the first time tonight.

Do you have a stream running thru your property? Never noticed that before but very cool what you built there Skip I am sure it will be awesome

Unfortunately no stream at the cabin, maybe you are seeing the road out front. The cabin is at the front of the property and their is an easement road that cuts just about through the center. Thanks for watching and I hope your having a great week.

Cool build...err, I mean, hot build! 😁 I like this project and like you said all out of scrap materials. Your pooch found something interesting at 15:57 (tail going 90 to nothing)! 😂

When he was younger, he was a remarkable retriever, now he is the best lizard hunter you would ever need. Wish I could explain to him how important they are for mosquito control. I think he saw my wife get scared by a lizard one time and is now on a mission to keep that from happening again. Thanks for checking out the video. Be seeing you soon.
