Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

I really enjoyed that. It is a little of what I had hoped SC would be all about. Just able to live your life in an alternate universe.

What a great, relaxed gameplay loop! Seems like a good way to learn piloting / helmsmanship. Maybe not setting the world on fire profit-wise, but Auec gains aren't everything, or even the point of playing this way.

True that. I spent a large chunk of my time after work doing delivery missions in my 350r. Such an enjoyable and relaxing game loop.
Its a real shame the delivery missions are bugged alot..with disappearing markers ..and drop offs not registering @@mrhigzgaming
Every year or two I like to check gameplay videos to see the game's current state. It's nice to see that it's reached the level of "$15 early access survival game". Looking forward to playing it in 2038 when it's in beta.
ah yeah in "7 days to die" i can freely travel in a full starsystem and i can do asteroid mining or salaving big wracks with my multicrewship and friends while having the most beautiful view i ever saw in gaming. later i did a "traumateam" like mission where me and my friends rescued another player with my rescue medical ship (i bought ingame with the money from mining). all this without a single loadingscreen.

Just started playing yesterday and had probably the most unique gaming experience i have ever had in gaming (since 1990). One fun fact for you, the game runs better than Cyberpunk on release and many other “finished” games 😂. Enjoy.

for getting into ships get a salvo frag pistol 2 fully charged shots you can knock the rear ramp of that corsair open, also your tractor beam mass was exceeded you can slap anouther tractor beam on the other salvage module replaceing the cynch module and should be able to lift a cutty off the ground with it, you also finally got through the shields of that corsair if you just kept fireing for a little bit more you would have shot the rear open, the corsair has a size 3 shield with a little over 100k shield hp and you was fireing size 1 bulldog laser repeaters at it which takes FOREVER to get through a size three shield

This forest looks very good, ofc you can get a lot better fidelity with UE 5, BUT that said, the StarEngine manages to get this level of fidelity on an actual small planet where you can go around it seamless. Also it's a MMO on a scale that no other game can achieve, when you combine fidelity + seamless + scale + MMO. Just insane really
why in god's name does everyone compare everything to UE5? Any engine can look amazing depending on the models and textures used. The trees in star citizen will probably improve once they move them over to the GPU. Unreal engine tech demos that look amazing are highly optimized snake oil, most UE5 games don't look anywhere near that good and often run like crap because optimization is a b***h
Lmao star engine....it's just freeware now so cig slaps a name on cryengine with the physics striped from the engine and bundles it with a couple effects tools and calls it a new engine...

You can use the Vulture's tractor beam to see what is in each cargo container without leaving the ship :)

It has to be kenetic weapons not lazers to open ramps from what I've experienced.
Hand held - ballistic weapons works great for shielded doors
Use ballistics instead of lasers they ignore shields you can shoot it open witn a rifle

SuperMacBrother, bring a ballistics FPS weapon and you can walk inside of the shields radius and hit the door to open it much easier to shut it off.
you can use your ships scanners to scan boxes without having to leave the ship.
This is sunning, it's crazy how good it looks, imagine a rainforest planet.
Hey Mac, for a coupled pilot like yourself, your landing shots could really use smoothing out, try binding ALT + ScrollWheel to your Thrust Limiter, then you can come to a halt above where you wanna land and gently float down!
You can thank reddit for there no longer being ANYTHING left at these outposts. Didn’t have a problem at all, always found at least something, then three days ago someone posted a “PSA” about dragging items from the ground into inventory and used these outposts (the ore bins) as an example, and now EVERY single one is empty every time i go to any of these outposts. Really wish people wouldn’t constantly make these “make 1 million an hour” or “this is the meta” videos hahah. Gives all the money printers a leg up over anyone who likes to casually explore or play for content rather than pure profit/hour. In the future of this game loose lips are gonna ruin a lot of exploration and data running opportunities
Nice to see a bit of the roleplaying aspect of the game being highlighted rather than the 'make millions per minute' grind-fest that it can be. I'm using my Vulture to spam Constellation/Cutlass clean-up missions right now but love that this level of exploration is available once the pressure is off. By the way, if anyone needs container jockeys for Reclaimer sorties I'm keen to earn some creds to help toward my own purchase, I'm halfway there already! Look out for Gibmerchant when you're out in the 'verse!
Sorry, not related to your original post. But i've been wanting to get into Star Citizen for a good long while now.. but i know next to nothing about PC's. I've scoured Amazon for pre builds etc.. So i don't know what i need to run the game well without having to ruin my bank.

I adore this kind of gameplay, being out away from home for multiple sessions with just what you have with you, surprisingly the most fun I have had in this game was filling my cargo hold and slowly selling it all over the system over about 4 sessions, that journey was extraordinary compared to the 1 hour long missions.
Can't wait for the vision of this game to be further captured, and for multi-session / long-form missions to be a reality!

I have visited all of the settlements on Hurston, and they were all amazing! I definitely need to devote a day to exploring MicroTech. The settlements are an exciting addition to the game that help make the star system feel more lived in!
my guy really playing star citizen as a pure-hearted human, meanwhile I'm playing scum citizen, and I would've looted that ship and sold it for credits if I could, even if it belonged to someone.

Great video, Mac! This game is like a sandbox where CIG provides tools and we create our own adventure. It can get only better and better. I hope CIG makes changes to the game so that any vehicles stored on board of a 'Game Rules' ship inherit the same property so that unsuspecting salvagers don't get slapped with a CS.

I love some of the alternative loops you can do and the idea of just living a life in the verse. It weirds me out how many people want this to be Ark in space.
I love that CIG is pushing for that as well, and I like seeing people get mad they can't play rust in sc. on the org level I think sc will be very much like ark and rust, but not for the majority of the playerbase.
Yesterday i was using the mole at marker point on hurston with call to arms and using the mining lazers to kill them.
It works in both modes and if you are far enough away they do not see you as a threat.
Then you can land and use hand tractor the bodies in the side lazer openings.
Then a vulture started fireing on me when i had no CS so i turned him into salvage.
I think he thought the mole would not be able to turn fast enough but with vetoes down it turns fast on the spot.
I think he learned a valuable lesson that day.😂

I think the game will be much more interesting once NPC's become far more interactive, it will certainly make it far more immersive than have them stand like dummies as you land. walk around and loot their homestead.

Oof, thats some crazy LOD switching you see happening up close. This game is still so rough, which is baffling considering it's monster budget of hundreds of millions of dollars.
Very relaxed session, enjoyable to watch. Opening doors by shooting em likes to bug out lately - at least when using lasers. You can either hit doors with your fists or just use your rifle (if it's ballistic). Also you might want to switch one of your Vulture's lasers for a ballistic scattergun or cannon. That way you still have infinite ammos on one laser, but also the "master key" to open ship doors with the ballistic one.
16:30 waaah, not sure if you just enjoy landing and crawling about... but you _do_ know that you can scan cargo boxes with your ship to tell what the cargo is.. no?
Later around 23:00 regarding that cargo box full of gems: i've found several of those. They seem to just spawn at the settlements, so i figured it's always worth to drop a scan ping above these sites. Either that or it's just super common for players to buy cargo boxes, fill them with gems and abandon them at derelict settlements.. lol =)
400i around 27:00 » you know that in soft death the doors unlock? Also again, use your rifle... or try to open the side airlock and along over your Vulture's arm to jump in. Regarding shields down: when i abandon my ships somewhere i also tend to shut down shields and leave the doors open so others may use or salvage them =)
On the CS2 you got: why did you run away? Level 2 crime stat doesn't put a bounty on you and you could've still taken the remains of the 400i..?
i really hope they dont give up the dream of this game. I hope i can play it in 10 years and have a perfect game.

Honestly I hope they add the new star map before they add more locations or looking at micro tech locations with the current one it's gonna get hard to read them with so many since it only zooms into them so far, it's my hope that there will be a more detailed zoom in since I saw the new star map is able to zoom right into the ship and even the local topography is mapped in 3D so it's gonna make my day since I'm getting the expedition pack hopefully next year (i'm slowly saving a $50 gift card at a time) fun fact the expedition pack is not a warbond and it can be bought with store currency!, at any rate if all goes well can't wait to map these locations with the carrack and sell the data if I can get in before anyone else when that update comes

Thank you for all your effort I enjoy the videos. I am a newbie and am really enjoying this game. One thing I was wondering about. Some of those vessels that you come across can't you fly them back and get them repaired. I was caught twice in a rsi glitch where I could not get out of my bed and had to re spawn my ship was left out there loaded with treasures. So I see some nice vessels and wonder if they can be reused rather than scrapped.

total newb here- who's just genuiinely interested: why doesn't the game allow for "build settlements" and then verify the build by the community so it doesn't get crowded with -meh- settlements. and another question is: why are these settlements always so low tech? wish there was one like in "oblivion".
I've just remembered about yesterday's run watching this.
Apart from the ridiculous amount of bugs that happened, most of which I've never even seen before.
I couldn't sell rmc that a teammate had scraped, maybe 30% of the haul said it was stolen but also team mates, which makes no sense, wouldn't sell at any location.
Also the weevil eggs we found wouldn't sell anywhere. Is there an issue with the eggs, there was literally no demand for any of them?
Also the majority of the rmc apart from maybe 2 vulture loads from me was scraped by my team mate, all of it was tractored by me from his vulture to my cargo ship.
Why would part of the haul come up as stolen?

I have been ALPHA testing Star Citizen since Nov. 2018. There are still folks out there that think it is scam.
And just so you know, even if that was still owned. The crates on the ground would be fair salvage.

The new ones seem to not work for "shooting open" anymore.. c2 is no problem usually, been doing a lot of those in ERT's, but vulture, cutter, corsair seem to not work, since they new?!
I have a beginner question: why do you salvage intact ships? Couldn't you go around and claim them and just take them off to your hangar? All you need is a friend or to go around on a disposable beginner ship and jump on the better ship and go away.
Currently the hangars are not accessible if you are in a ship you don’t own. You basically can’t request landing as you don’t own the ship.
@@SuperMacBrother ok, so there's no way to claim a ship as your own? How would piracy work if pirates cannot take a ship and keep it?
@@Sahrokh no not yet. at this time with only one system being Stanton, its not an option. in the future when they work more on the permission system and we get systems like Pyro, using stolen ships will be easier, esp when we have bases built by ourselves to store them. if you were to fly back to a system like Stanton, you will be flagged up almost instantly and hunted. just requires a few more systems to allow that option

Felt like I was there walking along with you exploring the sites.
I do hope that they come out with villages and towns that have more modern amenities. The Mad Max vibe is cool. But it doesn't need to be Everywhere. Just a few suggestions. The Greenhouses need to have a dirt path down the center. CIG needs to get their bar/bartender game together. More interaction with NPC's and Less interactions with vending machines. But I disagree with the statement that Star Citizen IS on ANOTHER LEVEL!! The problem is that Star Citizen HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON ANOTHER LEVEL. I got into what I was seeing on YT pretty early, but it wasn't until 2016 I built a real gaming machine. A machine to just to play Star Citizen. A Liquid Cooled i5 4790K, 32G's of RipJaw RAM, 2 SLI'd GTX 970's, And 2 Terabytes of storage. But trying to play now on that old machine is a sluggish lagfest. You had better commit yourself to upgrading your machine every 3-5 years just to keep up. My current build is a Liquid Cooled 11900K and an RTX 3080. So, about 2 years old. It runs just fine so far and I'll upgrade when I have to, but I got bigger fish to fry. I am considering using 3 65" 4K TV's for a triple screen monitor setup! Plus a super comfy recliner with joysticks and foot pedals mounted, somehow. And an IV Drip arrangement to keep me alive ;) . I got nearly 10K invested in this game so far. When I hit that mark I can get an F8 Lightning. It will go perfectly with my LTI Golden Ticket F8. Yes, they are that beautiful. And that monstrous. And yes, I'll get the 15K F8 as well. Bottom line is that I don't think I wasted my time or money in this game because it has ALWAYS been ahead of its time. Anyway, thanks for listening to my rants. Happy Friday!

You can blow up a ship, but not the trees.

how do you log out at these settlements? i thought you needed to by pretty far out of atmosphere to log out in a bed?
You can log out in a bed planet side, but many outposts don’t allow it if you are in close proximity to them. Settlements seem fine at this time though
@@SuperMacBrother means by "living there" as you mentioned you´ve done a bed logout at the settlements several times and always woke up there again? ... would be awesome if that works reliable - reliable as an alpha could be ;)
Yeah exactly. It’s as reliable as an alpha can be. But within the 2 weeks I’ve been logging in and out in my vulture bed, not once have I had an issue.

Took Bethesda 10 years to reach of fraction of its power.
Its still an alpha because the players themselves wanted it to be this big. All this wasn't initially planned. The community saw something bigger and the developers agreed. In a few years this will be a masterpiece, just give it some more time to grow🌱

No you won’t get flagged as a criminal, but as you don’t legal own the ship, you won’t be able to request landing with an ATC
