  • It is one of the most even and close finals; the head-to-head stats are tied: Williams 13-13 Murphy, and incredibly this is the first time they've met in a final, even though they've been on the top 16 list for about 15 years. Mark Williams and Shaun Murphy perform fantastic plays, surprising steals and brave shots.
    Mark Williams vs Shaun Murphy, 2019 China Championship Final
    The editing format is a mix between shot compilations and this channel's usual format. It is more suitable for matches with many isolated shots and mini-breaks as well as dramatic frames. I hope you enjoy it.
    This is an improved version of the video "Top Shots (experimental format) | Mark Williams vs Shaun Murphy | 2019 China Championship Final". It includes additional key shots (it's 4 minutes longer), more information and stats, and higher image and sound quality.
    The statistics shown in the video correspond to the date of the match.
    Cesar Muroya created a unique editing technique to extract the essence of the game without losing the drama involved. Contextual information is also an innovation appreciated by viewers.
    This format is not intended to substitute the full version but rather to make snooker more accessible to new fans. The fluency and atmosphere of the game stay in a shorter length video, allowing even experienced fans to enjoy snooker at any time.

    Nobody is as good as Cesar Muroya when it comes to selecting, editing, and presenting some of the greatest matches in snooker history. Kudos.

    Epic final by two of the most likeable snooker players on the circuit.

    Mark is likable because it's clear he does not take himself seriously. Dude has a good sense of humour ;) and is a great snooker player, too.

    An unforgettable match, with an impressive playing standard. Here we must congratulate both players and Cesar to offer us the best possible 25mn-editing of such a match.

    What a match! Two of the biggest bulls in the pasture battling it out, head to head, and neither giving an inch. Truly awesome snooker! It must have been so great to witness live in the arena.

    I am a fan of snooker.
    I obviously admire Ronnie's style, what else?
    But I also really appreciate the emotionally behavior and way of playing from other players. Shaun is, in fact, one of them.
    I really think that his shot at 20.53 min was the decision one ... a mere opinion of mine...😄

    I cannot choose between Ronnie or Mark as my favorite players. Both brilliant in their own right

    After Shaun struggled through so many rough shots, I could’ve cried had he not pulled it off. Props to both.

    this (especially 2nd session) reminds me shaun’s quarter-final win against judd at this year’s WC; judd had trailed 6-10, then levelled to 11-11 but shaun managed to get those 2 frames for victory...pretty solid “anti-comeback”

  • @SebastianW95

    why does she called a "green ball" at 21:45 in the final frame? I never knew the players need to call their chosen color they want to pot...

    • @sdrtcacgnrjrc
      @sdrtcacgnrjrc 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When it's unclear which they're going for, they've got to nominate a colour (the ref then repeats the colour)

    • @corallaroc2946
      @corallaroc2946 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When playing a color, the player always choses a single ball to play. This choice is important to decide whether a foul has been commited (i.e., hitting the wrong ball) and what amount of foul points is to be awared to the opponent in case they do commit a foul (e.g., if blue is the nominated color, hitting yellow instead will lead to 5 foul points instead of 4). The referee only calls out the color when it is not obvious from the player's line of the shot what ball they're aiming at. The player may then simply continue in acknowledgement or correct the referee. Also the audience knows what is supposed to happen.

    I always feel that the way mark william played.. it's more of a money player.. the game play always wise.. shot to nothing.. always left your opponent in a diffcult positions..
