about how often do you batch make? i find we go through way more broth than i can manage to keep up with making 😅 do you have a reliable brand you recommend when you're in a pinch?
@@RobertaStonequist I only batch make broth before postpartum or if I need to clear bones to make room in the freezers! Otherwise I just try to make a batch 1-2 times per week! It gives us about a gallon or gallon half of broth. But I also find we fly through it as well with the cooking we do with it! But I know that a good problem to have! 💕 I haven’t used it yet bc is not sold in my area locally and I’ve just never ordered any, but I know the “fire and kettle” broth had been recommended by many! There are some weeks in the spring/summer I don’t have any in the fridge just if I don’t feel we are needing it as often. But in the fall and winter when we harvest wild game and have lots of bones, I try to keep the broth well stocked!
love this! thanks for sharing and i started doing the chicken feet trick i think since you're last broth tutorial. i am so grateful you show you just use what have and find ways to manage when you don't. especially with inflation i've been praying about contentment and making due with what we have.
@@claricehielema just put everything in the pot as I did here and cover for a low simmer for a long while. I usually do stovetop 12+ hours!! Hope your pregnancy is going well! ❤️
@@claricehielema I freeze mine if I make a few big batch!! In mason jars (leave plenty headspace) or in gallon bags. I usually keep mine in the fridge a couple weeks. But it’s usually doesn’t last that long bc I cook with it so often!
Where do you buy your chicken feet from?

How would you make it on the stovetop? I don’t have an instant pot…But I would love having bone broth to drink for postpartum!

@@AmmieHarris okay thanks!! And then how long does it last in the fridge? Or is freezing and thawing a good option too?
