Part 2 of the 4 episode Dead Sea mini-series. In this episode we make our first stop in Qasr el Yahud, the the place where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist (Matthew 3). It is also the same place where the children of Israel crossed the Jordan river over to the promise land (Joshua 3). And in the very same place, Elijah and Elisha split the waters and crossed on dry ground (2 Kings 2).

I have a friend in Jordan. Her name Tania. She is a muslim but we were praying together made a wish God give chance to go to Jordan and she is promised will take me to this river. May God grant our prayed... amen

If you read Joshua it never says anything about the stones being replaced, be careful to add to the scriptures. It states this: Jos 4:7 “Then you shall answer them that the waters of the Yarděn were cut off before the ark of the covenant of יהוה. When it passed over the Yarděn, the waters of the Yarděn were cut off. And these stones shall be for a remembrance to the children of Yisra’ěl forever.” *FOREVER* God keeps his Covenants forever, he renewed the covenant, YUP… You Guess it, with who? That’s right the 12 Tribes of Israel. Read your Bible brothers and sisters.

Such a beautiful place! But no wonder Mark Twain was disappointed--it is so narrow. I must research to see what happened to it from Old Testament times. It is so amazing to see how God has kept his promise that the land would flourish when His children returned to it for good. I love how the native rocks and flora are transformed into such gorgeous gardens. The glory and goodness of God are everywhere.
