I'm trying to transfer my sad salt into funny salt. The type of salt that you don't even really notice is salt. Being salty sucks and it sucks to watch but we all are salty to some extent
Salt can be good sometimes its how you know your not performing on the level you want. You just have to use it as fuel for the lab and try your best to calm yourself mid match.
"i was frustrated with myself for getting hit by your moves which you threw out with no care... how stupid do i have to be to be hit by a guy whos just mashing?" paraphrase but i feel like it started classy then devolved - he just trashed the other dude's gameplay and thought processes even more by setting up what is essentially "only a stupid person should lose to you (who is then also a stupid person)" he's been super good in the past about salt and lecturing chat on salt, especially by proxy when he talks about flow chart players and such, but this wasn't exactly gracious through and through. i know it'd feel mean if someone talked to me after a set like that haha
@@pigs3888 it's not the same as calling someone stupid to acknowledge that they're mashing the shit out of some buttons where they shouldn't be, and you let them get away with it. Which is exactly what happened there
I love Birdie's EX grab. He seems to have so much fun doing it, like he's headbanging during a concert. I'm never salty when I get hit with it, I just headbang along with him.
Ego does take a huge part in salt, some nights I lose more and dont feel so bad and sometimes I have 5-10 winstreaks finally lose due to inability to download or open up the opponent and i'm tilted beyond belief cause 1 loss.
I was like that Birdie player once. Though for me, the moment came around when I reached platinum that I realized, "damn, my opponents are not making enough mistakes, I actually need a gameplan to pressure them somehow". XD
14:31 watching this some time later I can actually FEEL your momentum and download specifically in that round leading up to this moment, how you flowed with the pressure while having extremely high awareness and appropriate patience to react to what you need to do at that moment, using the correct buttons at the correct time followed by the correct movement…what can I say, maybe it’s that now I understand the flow of fighting games better but man I TOO would’ve popped off after that, way harder in fact haha!!
Watching this video really helped me realize that salt and feeling like an idiot because of your own mistakes happens to all of us. I get MAD frustrated with myself when I make really stupid and obvious mistakes so this was second-hand catharsis hahaha
Ed has really good normals though, his standing medium kick is an amazing poking tool to keep people off of you. You can easily punish whiffs and spacing mistakes with standing heavies. His crouching heavy punch is an excellent anti air. And his jumping medium kick has amazing range for poking on a jump in without getting to close. Ed is all about abusing spacing to get the advantage on your opponent by throwing out your buttons at the right time.
You see I’m to afraid of my salt which keeps me from playing online, who would want to play with the gnawing fear you may allow your salt levels to reach skull hitting levels(punching myself) I want to better this side of me and play I feel I can be great with a cured mindset. I’m not an idiot or incapable.
Dude salt makes me look like a legitimate crazy person. Maybe I am but SFV is the only game that gets me that way other fighters don't quite hit whatever nerve SFV does.
Since this video opened with a Mario Kart theme, I thought I should mentioned someone actually mixed that song with Monday Mitten Masher and it's just incredible. Look for "get royally fucked" on youtube!!
When I saw the ex horn into v trigger all i could hear was "Ex horn into v trigger is -9, you can punish that." (I'm not sure if the frame data is still right though, I heard it was -9 on a video from 2016)
so i got into this game a while back but stopped playing because i couldnt find a character i liked. ive come back now maining Ryu and then plan to play Dan when he comes out. im only a silver player. im having a really hard time cleaning up my inputs. i keep getting negative edge CAs all the time when im trying to do DPs and i dont know how to fix it. any tips on how i could improve would be sick.
I try to focus on the down-forward input, and make sure I really nail that direction! Might be more difficult on regular controller, but it's something to consider 🤔
I get salty at myself all the time for fucking things up I really shouldn't (the classic "I know exactly what I did wrong the second it happened" problem), so it's actually weirdly affirming to see someone as good at the game as Brian go through the same thing for a bit.

Brian popping off with pandemic hair looks so fucking rock 'n' roll it hurts.
