I mean I guess the reason they made a splitgate 2 was because many players( including myself) were leaving OG splitgate... Instead of trying to bring those same players back why not make a new splitgate... And introduce new players as well...😢
@@Allhaildahaiter the reason is splitgate 1 was made on a horrible engine to make games on which forces them to take longer to update and originally they thought it would die instantly when it came to console.

Recently gameplay footage of split gate 2. And out and it looks good. The stasis field actually works two ways. It slows enemies in all ways but speeds up all allies

i mean what other game do you know with a class based around a baricade a class based healing and a class based around moving fast with those being the only classes in a fantacy setting
People, this is a CLASS shooter, not a hero shooter. There are only three factions to choose from instead of a large roster of individual characters with their own abilities.

It then fell to 1.8k avg players in January of 2022 and remained like that all the way till August of the same year, from September until now (almost 2 years) the player count has been steadily decreasing, staying in the three digits. The gun play in the original was unmatched, I just hope they have a permanent portal-less mode so I can get my friends hooked on the S tier gameplay so they have a reason to actually try and enjoy the full game without immediately whining about the difficulty, complexity(?), skill ceilings, stock prices, inflation, Russian bomb threat, Palestine, neo-veganism and the dent in their frontal lobe from the controller I flung in their direction after hearing them b*tch for twenty minutes instead of actually playing the game. I just hope the problem of getting stomped by keyboard/mouse players is a bit smaller.
I loved the first one but looking at the characters in this one has me worried. The pink/blue haired soy boy is super cringe. I’m more of a bad ass high testosterone type and this flamer stuff doesn’t do it for me

Portals on all 3 factions, Aeros(the fast ones) just have some abilities to do with portals such as a portable portal without a wall sort of thing
