I've always assumed when a company puts the holo in the middle it was to give it the most protection. If it were in the back it'd be easier to scuff the corners or something. Just a guess though.
In Vanguard you could actually feel up the packs and figure out if the back card was holo, so they put a paper insert in

They usually put the Rare in the middle of a pack to protect it. They use the commons and uncommons to shield it from damage that might pierce the packing.

To Paul as far as why they put the foils in the middle, for both Yugioh and Pokemon, it's to protect them better, using the commons (and in Pokemon's case, uncommons) as an extra buffer in packaging for the more expensive cards
Larry is so smart man! He’s got good perspective. My favorite part about watching these are his tangents and stories

The reason as to why the wicked avatar looks like the winged dragon of ra sphere mode Is because if you remember from the anime ra has an ancient Chant That needs to be recited in order to summon it otherwise it will just appear and its sphere mode In the manga which ever monster has the highest attack points the wicked avatar basically turns into a black version of that monster

6:16 how about tributing spells/traps as a cost and the spells/traps have effects when they’re tributed?
They put the good card in the middle so if a single pack gets beat up, it'll be a little protected by the chaff

I have some of those GOLD brand over sleeves. They are really nice and add some flair to the cards. Plus they help protect my cards even more so yea its a double win in my book. I have not played yugioh in a while but still have all my cards. Im into Magic nowadays but mostly right now for collecting. But i love this series so much. Great stuff you guys!

I bought 3 Kings Court packs last night and 3 Lighting Override. Walmart had just got a ton in, but I didn't realize Kings Court only has 7 cards vs 9 cards.
They do the foil in the middle because there’s less chance to damage it in transit.
So many times where the front or back cards corner is damaged.
Living in Okinawa brought me back into the game, but team APS helped me refine my love of the game

I wish we had some kind of Card shop (or any shop selling TCG / P&P or anything like that). There is 1 shop here and when I was there it had 1 overpriced box of Ghosts from the past.
I love perfectly clear card sleeves for just my normal cards/decks but for things like my blue eyes deck and god decks i use matte dragon shield sleeves 👀

14:09 Allow me to answer that question. So during the run of the manga, The Wicked Avatar was created in response as part of the Wicked God cards that could counter the Egyptian Gods.
Dreadroot to Oblisk, Eraser to Slifer, and Avatar to Winged Dragon of Ra. However, their place in the story is actually non cannon after Battle City Arc. I could tell more about the story, but I'm just going to stop to prevent from spoiling the story.

they usually don't put rares in the last slot because those slots have higher chances of being damaged when being opened. thats why they usually try to put the rare somewhere in the middle

The Wicked Avatar looking like Sphere Mode is not a coincidence. The "Wicked" cards can also be referred to as the "Wicked Gods". They are like the evil versions of the Egyptian God Cards. I believe they appeared in the spin off manga called Yu-Gi-Oh! R which takes place after Battle City where Pegasus' protege is the main villain trying to avenge Pegasus (as he died in the manga).

Fun fact if you’re getting chased by bees and jump in the water they’ll just wait for you to come back up for air. You’re supposed to fun as fast you can as far as you can cause they’ll go back to protect what’s left of the hive
