Brian, you’ve quite quickly become the authority when it comes to LRc/LR/LRWeb/LRMobile, IMO. Your tutorials are always on point with the newest upgrades and capabilities for all LR versions.
This is really good. I like the journaling feature, so you can break out the photos into groups and write a description. Would be a good way to document trips, etc. Thanks for showing this!
Perfect timing. I just got back from a California vacation with my son and his family, I took lots of images. This will allow me to share with them, They can then select the images they want me to edit for them. This is perfect. Thank you so much for this Brian. I am so glad I purchased your courses.
I recently purchased your Lightroom Everywhere course. Excellent course - you explain concepts very clearly. I am almost done with the first module. Sharing using Lightroom web looks like an excellent way for me to share. Thanks Brian!!!
Hi Brian, Another winner. Many thanks. This is a game changer for sharing content with family and friends. I purchased your course when it came out and have enjoyed your updates moving forward. I seem to implement the updates right away as I become more familiar with the process. I've not used "Classic" now for awhile and, with your help, have relied more on Lightroom for desktop and mobile. I suspect you will see your channel growing soon as you become recognized as the authority on this software. In reviewing other software options, it seems clear to me that the Adobe team remains the "one stop" solution to many of my needs in spite of the rather high price one has to pay for said solutions. Thanks so much for the continued fine effort. Dave
Hi Brian, The new features here sure enhance the albums being shared. Got to do some experimenting. And I saw that Title come through if you click to open the photo. I wish theh Caption would also show in the shared album Info area. One other little thing, I set the sort to Import date, the added photos come in at the bottom of the photos. I would have preferred the top but I can move them around so no big deal. Thanks. Tim
Thanks Brian. Many of the features you demonstrated only work if you’re using a laptop or desktop that is you need a keyboard. Even with the latest iPad, most of these features are not accessible.
Great tutorial Brian, I knew about this feature but never used it, nor did I know much about how to use it. I photographed a family reunion in Kentucky recently and I think I'll use this feature to share some of the best photos from that day. Quick question: what image size would you recommend to resize to? I shoot with a Canon EOS R5 so I'd like to scale down the original 40-45 MP to a "great for viewing online" size. Thanks! (Edited to say that Claude recommends 1920x1080 pixels.)
Another very useful video, Brian. I presume these shared albums are dynamic in the sense that if you make any changes to the shared album the changes are automatically reflected on the viewer’s side? Thanks.
The shared albums are dynamic in that if you add new photos to it, the viewer will be able to see them. Also, if you make stylistic or text changes, they will see those, as well.
@brianmatiash In the beginning of the video you mentioned that the synced images from Lightroom Classic are just smart previews in Lightroom desktop, and using those previews in Lightroom web aren't full resolution. So, instead of using the previews, can I export them from Lightroom desktop as jpegs to Lightroom web in full resolution?
Pretty, pretty good! I think I'll start using this instead of Facebook. Great presentation as always. Thanks. I'm only halfway through, maybe you already answered this. Where are the pictures? I've never used LR Web.
That’s basically what I’ve done - I just add new photos to a private album and my family/friends instantly see them. The photos are stored in your cloud-synced albums. Is that what you were asking?
Fair question. The Web module that you see in Lightroom Classic is totally different to what I'm referring to, but you raise a very important point in the need to clarify such things. Albums is a concept that we use with the cloud-based surfaces of Lightroom. You wouldn't have albums in Classic. The closest analogue would be a Collection.
Indeed. As Brian says. You have to make a collection in LRClassic and sync it (right click, sync with LR. You will see a litlle arrow on the left). Then go to LR.

That means the world to me! Thank you for that especially kind compliment!

Thanks, Brian.
My pleasure!

Claude’s recommendation sounds about right. I’d say HD or 4K (3840 x 2160).
Thanks for this great content. Now waiting black friday for a good deal Ipad to replace my old one, so I can use all functions.

@@brianmatiash Thanks for confirming it.
Do you know if LR Web supports HDR (for those who have HDR capable displays)? Seems like a great “surface” for sharing-thanks.
I only have the 20gb plan and use Lightroom classic on desktop. Does uploading pictures to albums count against your cloud storage?
Is management of these features exclusive to the web version? Can you manage the shared album headings from the desktop or iPad versions?
With the proofing feature, and perhaps some of these other features does the person viewing need to have an Adobe account?
They do need to log in to make selections and comment/like.
Brian, can the smart previews synced to Lightroom desktop be exported as full resolution photos to Lightroom Web?
I’m not sure what you mean. Could you clarify?
@brianmatiash In the beginning of the video you mentioned that the synced images from Lightroom Classic are just smart previews in Lightroom desktop, and using those previews in Lightroom web aren't full resolution. @@brianmatiash That's part of the membership? I only have Classic installed - do you get to the cloud there?
Yup! If you have the Photography plan (that includes Classic), then you have access to Lightroom Web, Desktop, and Mobile, too!
@@brianmatiash Yes, that was easy.
A great video, but a dove lost me when it’s recommended to use chrome.
I did also say that it works fine in Safari, and it’s easy enough to try it in your preferred browser, too.
I can find the WEB module in lightroom classic and I can create folders and collections. However I cannot find albums.

My images show the filename and I don't know how to get rid of it.
Duh press the 'o' key. Take some time to review the keyboard shortcuts Larry.
Google Chrome? Are you kidding me. Don't even use google for search or maps.
Did you see the part where I say that I've used Lightroom Web in Safari just fine, too?
😊I declare this a draw!
😂
