  • This is a Bactrian camel figurine that was released in 2017 and this figurine comes in a large and wonderful size with dimensions of 12.4cm x 9.5cm number 88807.
Collecta has created a wonderful and amazing design for the figurine in dark brown color with light brown areas above the shoulders and thighs.
The gradation of hair on its body is clear in the humps and also the top of the legs is thick dark brown hair on those front legs and if you look at the back of the head we see a pile of hair crowning this figurine in an amazing way.
We notice that the camel's hoof is wide and perfectly rounded as if it is very realistic.
There is no doubt that Collecta excels in designing the details of the face well, as the eyes are clearly visible in a wonderful way and the nose and mouth appear clear and very harmonious.
Under the neck, thick hair falls along the neck from the chin to the beginning of the legs.
The Bactrian camel has two humps on its back, in contrast to the Arabian camel with one hump. Its name comes from the ancient historical region of Bactria.
Each foot has two broad, undivided toes that can be spread widely as an adaptation for walking on sand.
The two humps on the back are made of fat (not water, as is sometimes thought). When well-fed, the humps are full and erect, but as resources decrease, the humps shrink and tilt to the side.
This camel is characterized by having two humps (the gap between the humps is called the hump), which help it store the maximum amount of fat and food to withstand the cold.
Its head and body are about 3 meters long, its shoulder height is 2 meters, and it weighs about 700 kilograms.
It lives in groups of between 6 and 20 camels, led by the largest male in the group who can withstand low temperatures.
This type of camel lives in Central Asia in China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia. This type of camel is rare in Kyrgyzstan, northern Pakistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey, India and Afghanistan. It is believed that this type of camel is completely extinct in Tajikistan.
The CollectA model looks well preserved and looks great for collectors and teaching children
