Very good review! I saw this pop up in my Izotope subscription and was amazed when I tried it on several types of tracks. Very nice description of features and modules.
Thanks for being quick on the draw with the video. This is the first english speaking video outside of Izotope. I use Neutron everyday so yes i noticed the update immediately.
Oof...I didn't know that, as I got this from native. And they didn't specify a release time for English. Sorry mate...wasn't trying to cheat. @wordfarstudio
@@PinkBuddhaAcademy Seems there was some confusion. I spoke to my contact at Izotope and they were a bit surprised a few videos came out early so they told me just to release mine...good luck with yours!
Lol...I made a mistake. My Native Instruments rep gave me the izotope product to review. And they have affiliate links, but don't come out until day of release. So I just expected that, made the video, and didn't find out until after that Izotope doesn't have affiliate links. 🤣🤣🤷♂️
I watched A lot of videos on neutron 4 and so far this is the only video that answered my question on if you can add this on to multiple tracks or is this something that's used for single tracks or single sounds or just for your drum or just for your keyboard and I appreciate that you got around to talking about how it can be used on multiple tracks at once great video ⚡🙏⚡😎
@@PinkBuddhaAcademy I'm not sure if you're supposed to do it but so far with the beats that I can't stem out I will throw neutron on the wave file I use Ableton so what I would do is I'd put the wave file into the audio section and then throw neutron on it neutron will listen to it and it will give me an all-purpose setting I'll do little tweaks with the all-purpose setting and then throw ozone on it and to me it sounds amazing. Now you seem to have more knowledge on how to use neutron 4 is this something that you'd recommend in my experience so far it's worked out but I'm always open to learning new techniques and thank you for responding.
Tough call....the other one was good too. I guess I don't know how much the upgrade cost is. Eventually you do just have to keep upgrading though. So eventually you will.
Also a big Neutron user here, and I've always wondered why they don't include some kind of delay and a room verb in a plugin suite that is supposed to be a complete mixing solution... Now they add Trash, which is cool, but makes those omissions even more odd to me. I thought they could add a simpler version of Neoverb to the new version to really boost its usefulness. But yea, I love it too. Great new look, love the masking tool (masking is why I started using Neutron in the first place, actually). Thanks bro! Great review.
Yeah...a great point. Reverb would be great. Especially if they had multiband reverb? Or like some sort of masking related to the reverb....?? Because reverb can really muddy things up pretty quick!
lol...it can be tricky to discover the reason. The Sculptor tool is a mysterious one - as "what it does" is definitely not like traditional plugins (i.e. eq, compression, etc.). It's kind of a whole other thing, and I'm still figuring out WHY it works and what it's doing.
@@PinkBuddhaAcademy some friends told me it is only for separate parts for example bass kick snare etc and not for full mixed songs. For example I want to improve old songs that record companies released only on vinyl and not on cd and they listen very bright more than normal. Now I see that it's a selection where it says custom , to put a reference and I see difference but not as good as I want. The only plugins I own is dsp mapper v3 that I found on sale and the acon digital series and daw reaper. I am not a musician but I have tried many demos for restoration and eq matching but some distort the sound for example fab filter proq3 creates resonances and sweeps and make the bass listen worse distorted
@@vinylmastersgr1036 Hi , reading this I can give you a tip with Reaper... take Track and put the song or music you want on then you're going to need either ReaEQ 3 time (delete all except for one band)one for high (low shelf) middle (Band)and low (high shelf), or if that not enough bands Rea EQX (I think it called )and you can make as many bands as you need to get the frequency right and a limiter, boost a bit with the limiter, hope that helped...
Great review! Although if you don't mind me saying Multiband Compressor is NOT the same as Dynamic EQ. You can multiband compress on the compressor though. Great content and I love your name 🙏
I accidentally stopped the video without realizing it when you started processing the first track... Yeah, I just watched a paused video for two minutes thinking it crashed and you were just letting it roll for dramatic effect.
@@PinkBuddhaAcademy I was curious about it but ended up figuring out that it is just a collection of patches from all the other expansions it's free for MPC Live Ii users.
Just bought Neutron Elements but the update has a couple more features... should have know they offered me the lesser version... Will have to give out some more money....
I can see how you'd feel that way - if you own Neutron 3, and are thinking of whether to upgrade. As some parts are just "re-arranged UI." Although the masking module is totally new, and is really smooth. The only focused product that I know of like that is Track Spacer, and I use that ALL THE TIME. So now having that as part of Neutron is awesome.
@@PinkBuddhaAcademy exactly. I own Neutron 3 and as well Track Spacer. And the rest of the new features I probably wouldn’t use. The upgrade price of 149 Euro is to expensive in my opinion.

Izotopes software is excellent, who cares if you don't know the inner workings, if it means you can get your music sounding better with less work, who really cares? I recently upgraded my 4790K to a 3700X then to a 5900X. The upgrades were astounding in software performance. Having Neutron OG open in around 60 tracks would kill the 470K, I could have 2 tracks using it and have to freeze all others. 3700X allowed easily 60+ tracks, 5900X have not tested but I know will easily have much more headroom. I need to get this 4 version asap, it does wonders for mixing.
@@PinkBuddhaAcademy it is cpu intensive but offers so much more than any other plugin, that's why I use it extensively. I am on the 1st version, I am sure the newer will be so much more efficient.

You can use it on as many tracks as your CPU and RAM can manage! Individual parts, bus tracks, the master track, etc.

Great plugins. Only drawback is the extremely high CPU and RAM usage.
That is true. You def need to plan for that, like cpu gain staging

Does this only mix things based on solo or does it take other tracks into account? I thought it's a bad idea to mix in solo.
You can do both
It's not a bad idea to at least get your track sounding good on its own, then blend with others
