Nothing trumps experience, but getting a set of good 50/50 tires boost your confidence off road. I don’t know what the Transalp comes with stock but I found the Dunlops that came on my CB500X weren’t very good on anything but pavement.

100% the Pirelli Scorpian STR that came on my tenere 700 were just fair. I have Mitas e09 and e10 combo on it now. Just because when I use it I know I'm going on the dirt. However they won't last long and I'll have to find some thing that lasts longer when it comes time to head across to the Mainland. The Dunlop trail max Raids look promising.

Yes, tires are top of mind. I have been watching your Labrador videos and considering doing that trip later this season. I suspect I will need to buy some better tires soon though

What is the camera setup you are using? It is clear and has very good audio.

I use a GoPro 7 or a GoPro 9 depending on which helmet I am using. I have the helmets wired with a Purple Panda mic. I have an Insta 360 X3 mounted on the bike and sync the A/V from the two but only use the audio from the helmet usually.
