Thank you for being one of the few people to promote shopping around and bargain-buying instead of pushing one specific platform. I appreciate when people are considerate of budgets that way and not a lot of them are. Especially when it comes to 'haul' videos and popular artists and crafters.
Your ideas have inspired me to use items I had lying around and develop a creative side I didn't even know existed. It's also relaxing and meaningful when I repurpose what to most is considered "junk" making them beautiful again.
It was beautiful the way you described honoring the books that you use for your junk journals and I believe that the authors would be very happy in the way that you use their written material for your creative work. Great job!
Thanks for sharing love your haul. I getting stuff together to make my very first junk journal. I'm going to be 62 in June so I'm hoping to have it made by then as a gift to me. I'm very nervous . This is a new craft for me. Wish me luck.
Love the maps. I also watch crafty girl and in Texas she had found golden books at the DT. She also shops at Shein for vintage ephemera etc. So I tried my luck unsure of the company and what a pleasant surprise. Starting at $1 I received so many nice vintage items. Best part is, they have free shipping very frequently too. Gonna check out your Amazon stuff but Shein is fantastic.
I understand how some people may object to cutting up books to use in things like junk journals, but I'd rather use them that way than see them end up in landfills or just rotting away in someone's basement or attic. Let's keep honoring those beautiful books. This haul was terrific. I added a ton of new items to my Junk Journal wish list on Amazon.🥰
I love your haul! I believe that using old books gives them new life, they can be thrown away, but you are making something beautiful with them!! Thank you for sharing! have a blessed day!
Thank you for showing the papers. I love Alice in Wonderland so will be ordering that for sure. I am not sure how old your hand me down sewing machine is but if you take a lesson they would get you sewing at the end of one lesson. If your big machine has added stitches they would be great to have. Also you can sew heavier materials. Also a big help to create covers for your Journals.
Thank you so much for showing us what is inside of the packThat why you don't have to order it and not like it . I took a doing a Japanese junk journal .,and I like the small 8x8 better too. Thank you again
hello! i loved this video! i actually just put the alice paper pack in my cart last week, along with the paper corner punch. thanks for demonstrating it, now i know it works! great idea of scanning the handkerchiefs and doilies! i have some that belonged to my grandmother and that would be very special for me to include in my junk journals! i totally agree with your opinion on repurposing the books, i loved the way you described it! thanks for sharing!
Great haul. I wished I could get into junk journaling seems like so much fun....but I love watching you and the magnolia housewife videos. You two are great in your DIYs and journaling. Thank you. Have a great day.
If your Tyvek says Dupont, it's the real deal, they invented it. Love the books you found. I protect my books that I want to read/re-read, but I no longer have trouble tearing other books for crafting. 😁
This does not upset me at all. I've seen books by the ton...in shopping baskets WAITING for someone to purchase and take home and use in some fashion. Junk Journal, away! In the beginning, I did not understand ANY of this...NOW, I do....and, it is SO MUCH FUN!!!😀😀😀
Excellent haul I've been hunting down stuff to start a music themed jj for myself the last few weeks and acquiring more summer and lake items for one for me as well. So much of what's out there is nature and botanical it's make my nature themed one much easier to work on!
Can't wait to see what you create with these beautiful products, especially the Alice in Wonderland junk journal. You should also create a Little Prince (Antoine de Exupery) journal. That would be wonderful!
I wanted to make me a Virgo/crystal/boho junk journal absolutely love the haul from Joann's I been searching for a paper pack just haven't found one as amazing as the one you got at Joann's. I for get about that store because its a bit far from where I live but my Michaels is the absolute same way the shelves are empty and no new paper packs. So I will be grabbing the fabric pack and paper pack you hauled I love this haul such great items!
Glad to hear my local Michael's isn't the only store not stocking paper pads! They're coming back slowly now, but about half of the pages are unpatterned. :( Not sure why either! Great finds :)
Great haul! I also think Good Will is over priced here in Florida. It irks me to no end when thrift stores mark UP Dollar Tree items and I tell them so!! They got the stuff for FREE and are charging retail or more! I love that Florida map. Being a FL native I collect old kitchsy FL souvenirs & stuff. I wish I would have kept a lot of old brochures from when I cleaned out my grandparents house in the early 90s but I never thought I would use them for anything. I also like to use old books for JJ, usually for cut outs. I got some huge art books dirt cheap once. That orchid book would actually be useful as I love orchids, LOL. I have some old seashell books. Our local friends of the library has sales twice a year and I get old books from them as well. Thanks for sharing your haul. Can't wait to see your creations!
I don't like Good Will either.i, agree. They are way over priced. I love this video. So many great items that I'm going to get. TFS . Have a Happy Sunday !
I love the Park Lane Celestial paper pad 😵💫🤗 I am a huge fan of Pink Floyd as well! I went to The Dark Side Of The Moon concert and Momentary Lapse Of Reason concert many many years ago!
Good morning happy Wednesday morning and I just wanted to say that your vlogs is sooo beautiful I loved your channel always because you are sweetheart and you are amazing Supporter
Hi Windy. For future reference, if you buy something from Fiscars and it does not work properly, Fiscars will replace at no charge as products have lifetime guarantee. I had a paper trimmer replaced free after 10 years! They gave me the newest model as the one I had was discontinued.
I know you touched on it a bit, but I don’t understand what the purpose of the journal is. It seems it’d be so hard to write on the journaling cards that already have print on them?
I just found a way to get my astrology sign prints inexpensively. I don’t know if it legal except maybe for your own use. I just went on society6 and typed in Virgo. There are hundreds of images. I screenshoted a bunch then sized them and I’m printing them out on photo paper. I believe that is legal as long as you don’t sell them individually or in journals.
All the thrift shops have gone crazy with their prices…goodwill…the salvation army and even my local thrift shops are charging close if not over retail of regular stores…and your right… I saw DT items at my local thrift shop for $3-$5 and these items were donated to them…I will not purchase it. TFS this Fabulous haul!
Sarah Branham, her husband, and 8 children have been missing since the 90s. The people who should know where they are either don't or won't say. Please share this and help find Sarah! Thank you! #findsarahbranham
You could also color copy the beautiful botanicals and preserve the books. I am one of those who cannot bear the thought of books being ripped up and written on. Please consider copying the pages.....
I absolutely agree with you. I can't bear books being ripped up or cut apart. I think photocopying books is a much better idea and then the books are saved.
Good haul! I just started following you on Amazon. Ive started doing junk journals and decoupaging. Have you ever watched Maremi Smallart? I think you would like her.
The lovely embroidered piece was not expensive for you. Think about it. She certainly didn't make it in an hour. If I had made it or my mother I would hope it would sell it for $12 to $15.00. I embroidered a lot as a young girl. I would guess that piece to be be between 75 to 85 years old. I am writing this so that others reading this will adopt a better appreciation of the lovely hand work our older generations of women created.
It isn’t illegal to take the envelopes from the post office. I asked one time and the lady at my post office said it was fine as long as you weren’t taking like 50 at a time. I usually will get 5-10 every few months and she said that was fine. Just for future reference🥰
I make my journals around themes and the theme can be anything from plants, animals, seasons, etc. anything I’m interested in at the time. Right now I’m interested in learning about Japanese culture.
Look into the truth about Goodwill. I do not shop or donate to them. I prefer small local thrift stores and Deseret Industry, the LDS Church thrift store.

Wow! thanks for the tip! Gonna try them out!

Just found your channel and enjoying your videos. Could you do a tutorial on the sewing machine?
I love your passion for scrapbooking!!!!! Don't ever lose it. Thanks for sharing!
I love your haul! I believe that using old books gives them new life, they can be thrown away, but you are making something beautiful with them!! Thank you for sharing! have a blessed day!
You have a beautiful collection of Journaling pieces.
Really appreciate your extensive list of supplies as I am housebound. Also I find you have ideas I haven't heard before that are helpful.
The zodiac theme is a great idea, and you found wonderful items! All the items were very pretty!
Thank you for showing the papers. I love Alice in Wonderland so will be ordering that for sure. I love Stamperia Products!! Miniature Luxury Papers shop offers them in the States and shipping rates are amazing!!

What a wonderful haul! 🥰
Love the handheld sewing machine. Thanks for sharing. As that is exactly need for my junk journaling. 🤗
Can't wait to see what you create with these beautiful products, especially the Alice in Wonderland junk journal. You should also create a Little Prince (Antoine de Exupery) journal. That would be wonderful!

Ok so it’s not just California Goodwill that has outrageous prices 😅 It bothers me too! Lol! Book sales at the library are the jackpot! 😍
Your haul was fabulous. My michaels doesn’t have paper packs either. I go to Joann’s for them. Thanks for sharing 🌴😍😍
Cant wait to see your junk journals! They’ll be worth waiting for. Loved your haul!
I don't like Good Will either.i, agree. They are way over priced. I love this video. So many great items that I'm going to get. TFS . Have a Happy Sunday !
Would you please show the golden books
How you made them ty
I would be very interested in purchasing Little Golden Book journals from you. I have made a few but I was not happy with mine.
I love the Park Lane Celestial paper pad 😵💫🤗 I am a huge fan of Pink Floyd as well! I went to The Dark Side Of The Moon concert and Momentary Lapse Of Reason concert many many years ago!
That is so awesome! Roger Waters will be touring soon.

That’s good to know! Thanks for sharing! I love my fiskars paper trimmer but that corner cutter was not good!
Yes it's illegal and im surprised to see some post it on their videos. Nice haul❤
Parklane paper is on sale this week.
I am a Scorpio as well November 10th!
I know you touched on it a bit, but I don’t understand what the purpose of the journal is. It seems it’d be so hard to write on the journaling cards that already have print on them?
Do you have an ETSY shop? What's it called?
Nice haul😍
Nifty, enjoyed watching.
Very nice haul!

What exactly is a junk journal? I have heard people talk about bullet journals too. What are they? Could you show how you put yours together?
Hi Debbie! I have a Junk Journal playlist on my channel with videos covering the things you just mentioned 😃
All the thrift shops have gone crazy with their prices…goodwill…the salvation army and even my local thrift shops are
charging close if not over retail of regular
stores…and your right…
I saw DT items at my local thrift shop for $3-$5 and these items were donated to them…I will not purchase it.
TFS this Fabulous haul!
Are you making your junk journal using the book you bought as the journal?
I’m the same way with goodwill here in Texas, outside of Houston, way over priced!
Sarah Branham, her husband, and 8 children have been missing since the 90s. The people who should know where they are either don't or won't say. Please share this and help find Sarah! Thank you! #findsarahbranham

Good haul! I just started following you on Amazon. Ive started doing junk journals and decoupaging. Have you ever watched Maremi Smallart? I think you would like her.
Yes! I follow her, I love her art!
😊👍
Your herb book is going for 500$ on Amazon.
I saw that. Weird because it's going for less than $20 on ebay and other places. Must be a typo or maybe signed by the author lol.
The lovely embroidered piece was not expensive for you. Think about it. She certainly didn't make it in an hour. If I had made it or my mother I would hope it would sell it for $12 to $15.00. I just read that 320 million books are thrown into landfills each year. You are recycling that book.
It isn’t illegal to take the envelopes from the post office. I asked one time and the lady at my post office said it was fine as long as you weren’t taking like 50 at a time. I usually will get 5-10 every few months and she said that was fine. Just for future reference🥰
Why such interest in Japanese pictures? Is this popular right now? This whole video is new to me.
