Luul’s recovery from malnutrition

Luul was diagnosed with severe acute malnutrition and was treated at the stabilization section of Benadir Hospital. She was given therapeutic milk, essential micronutrients, and other medications to aid her recovery. At the outpatient therapeutic programme (OTP) centre, Luul received ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF), a vital component in the recovery process. She has now fully recovered. UNICEF plays a crucial role in supporting the stabilization centre at Benadir hospital, which provides treatment to severely malnourished children with medical conditions.
