- Hi,
With this video I want to announce my personal project "Sacred Gold UE5 Remaster".
By that I obviously don't mean the whole game as it would be impossible to do alone but I want to make the first city, couple of NPC's, mobs and at least 1 character class which probably will be Vampire's even though I've never played her(I used to play as Dark Elf or Mage sometimes Dwarf)
but I've already made her starting location so hey now I want to make her.
Why do I do that? Simple... Sacred Gold is the only old game I can pick up and play at any time without it feeling outdated or clunky but still it's kind of a pain to make it work...
First of all to play in full HD I have to download external software
and even then it doesn't feel that smooth in the fps department... And then for coop I need another software which is crappy af but necessary to play online. I never cared for Sacred 2 or 3 but I'd love to see an official Sacred Gold Remaster!
I'm not really sure if Sacred was ever popular considering that I always hear about Diablo(which i don't care about) and never about Sacred but if You're interested in the progress then checkout my TH-cam, Artstation, Twitter, DeviantArt and Pixiv, that's where I'll be posting future updates on the project and in the future I'd like to share downloadable build but for that I need something to do other than walking around and opening empty chests :)
All assets were made with Blender, Zbrush, Substance Painter and if needed adjustments with Photoshop/Krita and obviously the whole scene was put together in UE5.

@@Bodzioxf what character do you play as, the characters and mostly armor feel lackluster compared to the first. at least the females do.

Jogo esse jogo desde criança, os anos passam, chegam novos jogos, mas pra mim nenhum chegou próximo a Sacred, seria imensamente feliz se lançassem um remake do Sacred Gold.
Make donation place, hire some people, do whole project, ask for legal rights to do it so. I will support you. Sacred was thing that helped me in my early childhood to overcome some trauma playing it. Still is one of best rpgs ever made. I will gladly donate for project like this.
oh cant belive i missed this comment... I might try something like this but not yet. I need more than 1 small location for that. But who knows it might happen :)

Unfortunately, THQ Nordic got plans for the Franchise and bought Sacred right about year ago, so maybe creator should contact them and start working under THQ Nordic?
@@Bodzioxf You are correct ive just read that THQ and Deep Silver exchanged some IPs, so THQ is now owner of Sacred from May 2020. And THQ is quite good in resurrecting IPS and franchises. (titan quest).

Absolutely god tier. I also love how it doesn't feel like an UE prefab copypasta, which many UE based games tend to exhibit.
My God...... just replayed the whole Sacred Gold Campaign now that I see this I want a whole UE5 Remaster please make it happen one Day
Yeah that would be great! At this moment it's hard to tell how far this project's gonna go but i'll try to make as much as i can :)
Projects like this are insanely hard to do, Ankledot will need all the help, time and money to do this. And even so, it will take some years of development. I wish he finds great people like programmers and designers to help him.

I first saw Sacred when I was like 7-10 Years old at my older Brothers PC gaming with his Friends and I still remember his 6 Woodleves Characters striving through Ancaria I believe the Forest Region of Tyr Hadar where the Ice Elves are and I wanted to play that Game so much then Years later I got his Copy and played it for Days and Night as a little unknowing Noob with no Goals in his Sight just doing Childhood and Life itself and now that I have seen this I do hope to play a Remastered Version like this before I pass away many Years from now on let the Dream become alive!
Just imagine having the Desert, Spiderwoods, Darkelf Regions just..... everything even the Underworld Regions as a Graphic like this

I love Sacred, the Vampire was my favorite class - i missed her in Sacred 2 realy much ...
I usually played as gladiator, forest elf or mage. I feel like Sacred deserves a remaster and what you did it its just really really cool! I dont have much money but If I won the lottery man for sure I would donate a big chunk for a Sacred remaster to happen 😁.
Played once Sacred II and id didnt feel the same.
I played Sacred since 2006. Now I'm 28 and still adore the first Sacred&Sacred Underworld. Happy to see this remaster sneak and ready to support you if you'll ever plan to do this job as big project!

THQ Nordic has hinted a few years ago on their dedicated steam forum that they might be working on a remake/remaster of sacred 1. Hopefully they get into contact with you & hire you!
I love this! Sacred Gold is an amazing game. First Played it when I was 14 and I'm 27 now and I still play it on the side. having an UE5 remastered version will be a game changer and the Sacred Community would appreciate and support it. I'd support it!

Yeah I want to make 1 character class, couple enemies, npc's and 1st city so there will be some gameplay. Then, we'll see.

За начинание конечно респект, но мне больше нравится старая рисовка. Она более сочная и колоритная с дизайнерской точки зрения,
а эта какая-то в серых мрачных тонах вся. Например каменная кладка с правого бока этой "церквушки". Тени под черепичной крышей.
Да куда не глянь всё сочнее и интереснее нарисовано.
Единственный плюс что теперь можно все здания обойти будет(над движением камеры придётся поработать).
Боюсь даже представить какие системные требования будут у ремастера раз он на UE5. Почему не взять что-то попроще, т.к.
то что я увидел не тянет на UE5, да и на UE4 тоже.

Hey, I'd love to cooperate with you on this one. I'm in the process of making my own ARPG, also inspired by Sacred but better! I used to play Sacred a lot. I remember I had a Gladiator wearing Raane's set piece (sometimes Andiel's set pieces), I had the two axes that had a chance to cast fireballs. I was level 200+. So yeah, I sunk a lot of hours into the game. I am also a 3D artist (I use Blender) and I do have a bit of knowledge in programming (mainly Javascript but I could pick up C++ in a matter of weeks). I was thinking of leveraging ChatGPT to do this.
Doing a remaster of Sacred doesn't appeal to me, but creating a brand new game highly influenced by Sacred, that's something else that I'd be willing to do. In terms of game design and what not, I have all that covered too.

new animations are way better, but the old textures had more SOVL, maybe upscaling?

Szkoda bo chciałbym się czegoś nauczyć już bardziej w praktyce z 3D.
Na studiach mam moduły ( Unreal, 3D max, itp) ale jest tak średnio i po łebkach. Wolałbym nauczyć się czegoś w praktyce i porobić projekty nawet za free. Szczególnie dla gry, którą uwielbiam.
Jak coś daj znać, bo jestem chętny, by wspomóc w wolnym czasie ;)
btw fajne udogodnienia wyszły w unreal 5.2 - Proceduealne generowanie ( np w sacred'zie mogłoby się przydać do lasów i rzek.)
w wolnym czasie zobacz sobie ,,Jungle Tools - Procedural Content Generation (PCG, Unreal 5.2 Preview)". Chyba, że już to znasz i ogarniasz

i thought this was a forgotten game
I would buy 10 copies of a remaster of this game, my only concern is that they would put social policies on it like in Diablo 2 remaster with all the women masculinized and without curves. So I would end up playing with the original.

Learn what a "Remaster" is. This is a REMAKE, not "remaster".
Para mí un juegazo , en su tiempo mejor que Diablo, para que se vea que en 2004 ya existían los mundos abiertos ha base de lápiz y papel, una obra de arte, se puede entrar e investigar a todas las casas y lugares del juego REMASTERIZACIÓN PARA PS5!!!!!
