I really should try to put some detail in the one model I've build thus far but I'm not super confident with either paint or markers.
Gunplas are easy to get here in Italy, we are the only nation outside Japan that got the OG Mobile Suit Gundam at the time (due to a clerical error, it should have been tied to the toys but the license ended in a package of anime sold to one of our broadcasters) and in general mecha anime are among the stereotypical "boomer anime" so model kit shops always have some gunpla and other super robot and real robot model kits (personally it was slightly before my time, I only remember the occasiona Daitarn III rerun when I was a kid only watched Gundam with the new dub a few years ago).
I don't think I've ever seen Transformers-themed kits though.

Call me weird, but when it comes to Transformers, I always enjoyed them based on their robot form, so Im into the non-transforming figures! My hobbylobby had this one, Megatron (IDW?) G1 Bumblebee and Starscream, and they were on sale for 30 each... yes I got them all!😅 Awesome vid man!

I have the IDW version and love it, it's the only official IDW Prime that Hasbro has made available (unless if you count that legends class figure) since these are officially licensed products.

I ended up putting the step 21 f1_8 with the things you put on it wrong and i cant get them off any recommendations?
It's been a while since I built this so I don't know what piece that is. Still, you should be able to gently pry it back out with a spudger.

Hey Bert, quick question, did you glue any parts such as the earpieces or the hip skirts as those parts tend to fall off on mine. Thanks
No, I did not glue any of my parts. I'm considering maybe gluing the grill pieces, those tend to pop off when I'm messing with him, but everything else is tight. Probably due to the fact that I clear-coated everything before assembling.

It wasn't until recently I found out Flame Toys were model kits lol. I always thought they were just non converting figures

Most of their products are none transforming action figures and model kits. They only have one partially transforming figure and it’s Victory Saber I think.

Don't have a Unicorn, I stopped getting HGs a while back, too fast to build. I prefer MGs now. But he's definitely bigger than all the HGs on my shelf.

Hey there, i was plannig to start a collection of transformer figure and this optimus is kinda perfect for me
But the only problem i have there is no megatron g1 to match thiss guy, was thinking to get R.E.D megatron but is a bit smaller so idk
My alternative is to get optimus idw version so i can get all the model kits,
do you have a reccomandation to some megatron that can match this optimus? It would be better that he doesn't transform too
Not really, not if what you're looking for is a model or action figure.
They have a Megatron, but it's not G1, though he's fairly close. All we can do is wait to see if there's enough interest for Flame Toys to make a G1 version like they did for Prime.

My figures arms didn’t fit in the hole
That's strange. Double check the instructions, make sure you're not missing a piece.
Same! It's almost like they made the hole too big, cuz my arms just keep falling out. I checked the instructions multiple times, so idk. Ig it's just a design error
yeah, anytime i touch the shoulders, hands, or arms the arms fall out! but it looks great and i like that you didnt need to paint of glue anything. or maybe you are, lol, idk...
@@Michael-hj9gp so I managed to fix mine by taking apart the shoulders, and then putting the arms through the gray piece before reassembling the shoulders. Try that and see if it works.

How do you attack piece c1 10?
I no longer have the parts trees so I don't know what piece that is. Can you elaborate?
@@BertTheStormtrooper It's the hatch cover that comes down over the chest for the opening gimmick. I got it on, but it seemed harder than it was meant to be, like it wasn't long enough for the angle I had to attach it from.

This was a fun, quick build! Took less than a day.
Now to continue with a certain GIANT gorilla bot....
