For anyone wanting alt1 toolkit for Mac, there is an extension called runekit that allows for alt1 toolkit to be run on mac, however I haven't used it so I can't speak on the validity and safety of it, although it is completely open source.
I use runekit on Linux. It works great for clues and dungeoneering, but I can't get the AFK timer to work. (It's probably a setting just I didn't try though.)

But what I’ve gotten through so far, as long as you’re willing to download python and homebrew and run python through terminal on your Mac, using alt-1 I believe is very possible. Got as far as launching the program through terminal, will let you know how successful it is for me and the difficulty associated with operating it as someone with bare minimum coding knowledge as soon as I get home!
I just got back into Runescape and been going through the learning curve of new RS and wow never knew I would hear the name SwiftKit again. been just nearly 8 years but back again.
You can use alt 1 for arrow clues btw. You right click a teleport like Kandarin monastary and press alt1, click on the button in alt1 after you've teleported and it will put a line on the map. Teleport to another location (I usually do desert ammy nardah) and do the same with alt1. It will show you a second line and where they cross is where your clue is at.

Just a hint from someone who has done 20000 hard clues, if you put your oldak coil to the north by the rocks and then stand in line with the torches to the south you get the most kills per hour when farming hellhounds for hard clues.

puzzle clue: you can click only corners of marked path (moving up to a whole row/column at once) compas clue: alt1 has map setting for this. There, you either select where on map you are, or press alt+1 on while right clicking some teleport spells/items, then click on the button with coordinates in alt1 overlay - alt1 will estimate a direction from the arrow (have to be visible on the screen) of the clue. teleport a few times to "triangulate" position quickly and quite accurately

DUDE. I saw u clicking each and every square at the Puzzle Box and that triggered me. If it is a Straight Line, you can click at the last square, and they will all move. That will make your Puzzle Boxes much faster, i got to .15 once
Doing it your way actually is the opposite of the way you want to do it though. Clicking all the boxes 1 by 1 accurately and quickly improves your coordination of clicks that could be important in pvm including raksha mind special, or bd placements in tons of things.
Just a tip from a security minded person, don't load Alt 1 until you've entered your bank pin in the session. I'm not saying there is any funny business going on, but Alt 1 works off of screen shots. It would be easy for a rogue dev to take screen shots as you enter your bank pin and negate a layer of security. Again. I'm not saying that this happens! It's just a possibility and a little caution goes a long way.
i know this has been made time ago but question, on the map when it shows scrolls and a number, how can you see what scroll or tele it is specifically? i tried hovering and right click but its not working or showing
Hey Nuzz, Alt 1 has been glitching lately and not auto-updating significantly enough for a fix it's started with meg answers, and not clue scrolls are acting up how /where can I go to get this fixed
Surprised you didn't go through DGKEY, dungeoneering floor running is a skill alot of people hate, but DGKEY just makes floor running so easy, even if you can find a group DGKEY can allow you to rush solo large in 15-20min average
not sure how u get the loot beam alert to work. mine refuses to work at all. chat is unfiltered, on all chat, nothing covering the chat and it still refuses to tell me when i get a loot beam of any kind
Because of alt1 i started doing clues it got me 1 blood dye and 1shadow dye so far This alone makes it worth your time the rest wil only make it even better never going back hahahah

That’s how I use it. It’s still alt1, and the menu in the taskbar says alt1. But the top left of the mac screen where it says what application is running, it says RuneKit.
I also feel like rs3 players wouldn't want an actual client. Alt 1 is an overlay, no game interaction. Thats why isn't doesn't have the same amount of features, but is also far safer. Also a lot of runelite features for OSRS either already exist by default for RS3. (Lootbeams, ground item text) or are highly unethical, bordering on cheating (marking tiles so you can braindead pvm) I remember swiftkit... used for years, trusted by everyone. Someone hacked swiftkit, put a keylogger on it, thousands of accounts were hacked.
That's because runelite is the client itself. Alt1 unfortunately can't interact with RuneScape code and also cannot make player actions because it would be considered a bot or macro
I downloaded Alt 1 yesterday. I mainly wanted it to try and price my bank, but it’s not working right? And I’ve been using it for clues. Been using it for Elites, had about 59 saved up. I can do the sliders, but I got so stuck on a slider last night that I got frustrated and bought some puzzle skipping tickets
I straight got in to a fight with someone in game (who of course was a HCIM) saying Alt+1 and Runelite is straight up cheating. Anyone who uses it should be banned off the earth.

It's a cool idea and sounds very helpful, but... even though it's supposedly safe, I won't use it. Jagex's anti-bot tech can be overzealous and the last thing I want is for it to register a false positive and ban me. I'd only use it if Jagex themselves commented on it and said it's alright. I missed out on the RS3 Mobile beta rewards because I don't have a phone that can run the game (I barely use a smartphone as it is) and I didn't want to risk Bluestacks registering a false positive. In general, I get the appeal to custom clients and extensions but I also don't understand why people are surprised when they get banned for using stuff like this considering how overzealous Jagex' sbot detection software can be.
I'll have to find it but I remember seeing a J mod using it on stream and almost all the big streamers and yourubers use it. If you look at my poll on my channel 75% of players use it so I think if it was rule breaking at all jagex would say something, similar to runelite, but alt1 is just an overlay that doesn't effect anything on your game.
@@Trinity_RS My thoughts exactly. Bans and compromises are concerns and besides, I don't like using unofficial stuff in games. I have a hard enough of a time using mods in Bethesda's games, for example, because they're unofficial.

Nah sorry, however safe it's claimed to be, even if it's 99.9% is not good enough for me if there's even 0.01% that you'll get accidently banned. I know even jmods used it but unless they integrate it into the client I'm never going to use it.
The point is to help people figure out how to do the puzzle box but the main goal is to get it done with no errors and in the fastest way to completion.

Yes! It's called the "Lobby Timer" and it will tell you if you're going to be logged out for being afk.
You can set a custom timer just short of the 5 min autolog timer. I use it all the time for effortless afk stuff
