AMAZING PLAYING AND VIDEO , PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE HOW GOOD JIMMIE VAUGHAN IS BUT IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT AMAZING BROTHER SRV , JIMMIE VAUGHAN CAN REALLY PLAY TOO !!!!!
@@JakeAndrewsMusic Wow!! Too cool, Jake!! I really enjoyed seeing him play on Eric’s Crossroads Guitar Festivals. I had to see it on TV lol!! Thanks for sharing that!! I really enjoy hearing stuff like that.
Jake Andrews you rock- Great content and excellent presentation. My friend's x- wife is in the Tuff Enuff video. We used to call her Thelma Rush. We used to listen to the T-Birds practice. They were unbelievably good.
im 69,a grumpy old man, been playing for 60 years, with a 15vyear break due to accident, I really like your playing, you really got the thing that makes the thing works Many guitarist are good at copying, but dont have the feel,i am enjoying your lesson, thankyou,, ps what amp you using, had to sell my Bassman, super reverb and beloved groove tube trio, after accident to pay the bills, cant find an amp that hass that vibe like my old ones, thanks graham,
Brilliant. Thanks man. You’re on the bridge pick-up, I see, and certainly I hear it. I notice in recent video of Jimmie that he’s using the neck pickup. But he says in interviews that he uses just the treble pickup, and derives tone from where he picks and how he picks (with pick or without). I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this. Again, thank you so much. Brilliant lessons. The real deal.
I agree, he gets a lot of variations in his tone depending on how close or far from the bridge he is picking-that's been my experience of watching him play. Thanks so much!
@@JakeAndrewsMusic you must have been playing the bars along with Charle Sexton also. I friend of mine was dating the bass player for the Sir Douglass Quintet back then that’s how I found the Tbirds SRV and so on.

Interestingly the neighborhood where Lee H. Oswald supposedly fled to after the Nov. 22 1963 incident. I imagine the Vaughan Brothers lived there at the time.

I stumbled across your channel a week or so ago and I’ve gotten a lot out of it so far. It’s surprising that you don’t have a huge following of subscribers (yet). Killer content and stories you have on Albert King as well. Do you ever listen to any Ronnie Earl? He’s probably one of my all time favorite players. It’d be killer if you did a lesson/play through on something of his. Maybe baby doll blues or something, they’re a few licks and lines in his stuff that I just can’t figure out.
I would love to have a guitar lesson on Mike Zito's Big mouth from you. Your guitar lessons are simply the best!! Even my kind of a dummy gets them in the head :)
@@JakeAndrewsMusic well thank you Jake for texting me. Many blessings unto you. One of my closest friends was a blues Man by the name of Ron Thompson. He was good friends with the original members of The fabulous Thunderbirds. He used to tell me that in the early '80s he would go to all these shows and sometimes would catch a gig with Little Richard. My friend was a slide guitar player. And played with many Legends in the San Francisco Bay area. Wow this is really cool thanks again for sending me a text. Again many blessings unto you and your family.
@@JakeAndrewsMusic Jake, I hope I catch you still reading these comments, I have a question. I was getting hip to you, Shawn Pittman and Sean Costello all about the same time. I got to see both Shawn & Sean in Chicago. Were you a traveling musician at the time? To me, there was a lot of good music coming out around '97-2000 so I was going to clubs as often as I could.
Nice job, great song Jake, sweet tone and handsome rig 👌 plz check that little amp for microphonic tube, everything else is a top notch JLV sound ✌ peace
