growing up in Michigan, you don't get a lot of bands that are your taste of music. We Came As Romans was that acceptation for me. I remember being OBSESSED with them in High School and listening to " To Plant A Seed" and literally weeping because I had a band I loved from my home state. I went to warped tour 2015 at the Palace at Auburn Hills, MI and saw them, and the crowd was so amazing. I remember getting there early and sitting there in line with nothing to do, when randomly all the members of We Came As Romans came down the line, selling their latest album which was their self titled album, and they let us get pictures, and autographs on the cd's we bought. I remember thinking Kyle and Dave were the coolest people ever, and I was so in awe of their presence. They were so amazingly kind and sweet. I'll miss Kyle, but I know my memory of him will always remain.
I still cry. I absolutely CANNOT watch the video while listening to the song. It kills me. This is my hometown band so it hurts. The album is beautiful but it's hard to listen to due to the reason for these songs.
I could only imagine how hard it must have been to write not just the album but that song in particular. What a great in memoriam song to go out about Kyle! RIP Kyle!
