Ben, I think I found how to make villain sword legit. obviously daggers, but also the courage puppy counts as a melee weapon, also the brass knuckles count as a melee weapon. So if you're going brass knuckles or puppies, the villain sword finally becomes a valid weapon. the brass knuckles being a single slot melee weapon means you can fit more weapons, and the puppies means you have more 0 stamina melee weapons in shop. So if you spend some time working on puppy or brass knuckles builds, keep an eye out for the villain sword, that's when you should buy it
I think the pig skill might be bugged in the same way that the acorn ace skill is bugged. With the acorn ace it is supposed to increase the range of your acorns, but it only does this if you place the acorn after you have the skill in your bag. I think something similar is probably happening with the pig skill so that you have to re-place the pigs after you have the skill in your bag for them to explode
