Canta have you ever thought about doing greatsword runs? I really want to see how you would play using one and think you’d get pretty good times too
I think I've only done one GS run in base world. For GS content I'd recommend to check out BBDW and Preydator, both are really amazing GS players.

Professor Daddy longsword is only difficult to be good with, even being bad LS is good in normal hunts
AutistiCat I can attest to this. I’m pretty trash since I’m relatively new to long sword but I faint less frequently compared to my buddies that shit talk on my LS play. It’s definitely one of the most fun weapons I’ve used in world though.

Wtf, at 2:05 did you calculate that topple going into a helm breaker or was that just coincidence? If you calculated that attack i still have a long way to go with Longsword. Regardless your amazing
Nah, the topple via stab wasn't calculated but I knew that the helmbreaker would've toppled which is why I went for it.
CantaPerMe oh ok it just looked calculated the way u were attacking his wing but it was just executed perfectly. Still learn a lot by watching you, thanks for the info.

So quick question...is 3:13 a form of cancel, to go right into the overhead slash so you can do the foresight again? Or am I just losing my mind? lol
its not really a cancel, you can just go into overhead slash instead of the finisher after a successful foresight, you got the 2nd part right tho, that's precisely why I did that.
Hey Canta, I have a question. Is there a way to reliably bait out B. Tigrex's roar at the end of his charge attack instead of the 360 spin he does? I prefer it when he does the roar because the spin comes out much faster and doesn't have much of a read. Thanks in advance.
There is, you have to stay close to him while he turns around, he only spins after the charge if you try to run away from him (this applies to regular Tigrex too but instead of roaring he bites)

Smh, I ever killed normal Tigrex on cb. Ended up switching to LS towards the beginning of iceborne and tigrex made me full on switch.

What an amazing fight! Might be a stupid question, but why did you often decide to go into normal sheath instead of the special sheath?
special sheath animation is slightly longer and the follow up attack can mess with my positioning
Is there a reason you don't use the special sheathe more often after the spirit roundlash? I'm rather curious, since I've gotten into the habit of using it quite a lot
longer animation and the followup attack can mess with my positioning. Brute Tigrex in particular also has many openings to use the Helmbreaker on so I need to be ready to use it at any time instead of going into special sheathe to maybe counter an attack with the Iai Spirit Slash

Please someone tell me how he do that second wide attack with the forsight slash. I've been trying to do it in the training area but whatever i press i can't get it.
I assume you're talking about the spirit jumping slash,the way to do it is to press the spirit attack button after using the fade slash

Yeah, it's a direct follow up and empowers your spirit too. Iceborne is very worth it if you're a long sword player

Adding the backdash that makes the long sword easily one of the top weapons.
Hey canta, do you have any tips regarding spacing Tigrex's advancing spin attack at the end of his charge? That move is the sole reason why i can handle brute tiggy better than its normal counterpart
Stick close to Tigrex when it charges, it only does the spin when you're trying to get away from it. If you stay close to it while it turns around it will end the charge with a bite attack instead. You can actually use this run as reference too because Brute Tigrex does the same with the roar attack instead.

Wtf. Those are knew mechanics? Many of those attacks didn't exist when I "finished" it. (I feed myself the idea of considering the game finished, even tho I haven't slayed Tempered Xeno Jiva)
Yeah, looks like you missed an entire expansion while you were gone. It’s basically a whole new game with new slinger tech and new moves/ modes for most to all weapons.

Foresight Slash has a way more generous window than GP, Iai Spirit Slash counter on the other hand has a much smaller window than GP

@@sleeperthoee it's easier than regular Tigrex imo, if you're melee. It has a sweeping roar attack that will fuck up ranged players though, since you will be stunned and won't be able to dodge it.

I know this is super late.
But I'm grinding regular tigrex. Hes a mega pain. He does 4 full vrooms and changes trajectory every time. How the hell am j supposed to deal with that??? Never fought anything so aggressive.
Then there's his rage mode where ne never tires out. I'm constantly healing.
Then there's sos flares. Nobody joins this hunt. They'll do other things but I can't get any randoms to help me. And when I do they get wiped.

I rememmber fight tigrex and they charging around crazly like maddog not just roaring like cat.

Longsword moves become not simple like previous one and additional evasion & jumping slash make easy to dodge attack & look over exaggerated.
Old Tiggy was way more predictable and takes forever to turn around. Regular Tigrex in MHW still charges at you constantly.

No hate from this guy been watching sense mh4u up till now love his content. Just hate the layer armors wish it was like mh3u with only just mix set and fashion it like old days w/o layers armor aspect of the game.

@@madpinoy5683 There are a decent handful of people who don't like layered armor, actually. I usually find their reasons to be "I think you should either have to sacrifice efficiency or looking good, not have both." And to that all I can say is... why?
On PC at least we can use mods to wear whatever as layered. I'm still using the same thing I had back in base game. I believe the set is possible to use as layered on console now too.
