46:00 Man this was really painful to hear. Kurisu becoming a sad scientist, much like Okarin, is quite poetic. It’s also heartwarming to see the strong bond between Suzuka and Kurisu.
I always wondered if there was an equivalent of Steins;Gate 0 to Kurisu's story in the movie and suddenly, here it is. Thank you so much for translating this!
key difference between Okabe and Kurisu: 1. Kurisu is in a peaceful future without any dystopia or WWIII, she is altering the past for her own personal goal while 0kabe is kinda forced to save the world from WWIII along with Kurisu by altering the past. 2. No ND-mail video was sent to the past in this drama CD. (It retcons what Okabe saw in the movie ending on his phone.) 3. Kurisu is making the time machine mostly by herself with Daru helping out on the engineering side while 0kabe have the entire labmems and Valkyrie on his side to achieve the invention of time machine. 4. Kurisu was doubting herself and not fully onboard about achieving a world line where Okabe is saved while 0kabe is very confident and determined on his path to SG worldline in MWC ending of SG0.
When you have characters that are literally willing to cross multiple worldlines just to see each other, you know thats the OTP right there. Okabe and Kurisu are just made for each other so much that it hurts when we see Kurisu struggling to cope with the loss of Okabe in this, and Okabe struggling to cope with the loss of Kurisu in 0. Its beautiful because their love transcends worldlines but its also just so sad :(
Wait a minute, I just realized something... So in order to reach the Steins;Gate worldine where everyone is actually alive and well, both Okabe and Kurisu have to go through years of solitude first? Here’s the chronology: 1. Okabe arrives in beta 2. Suzuha came back from the future 3. Okabe and Suzuha fails to save Kurisu, Okabe gave up 4. Okabe spent 15 years figuring out how to save Kurisu 5. Okabe sent a message to himself from number 3 and explain the plan 6. Okabe saved Kurisu 7. Arrived at Steins;Gate worldline 8. One year passed (Movie starts), Okabe starts having Vertigo, disappeared 9. Suzuha came back from the future 10. Suzuha and Kurisu failed to save Okabe, Kurisu gave up 11. Kurisu spent years to develop the time machine but prohibits its usage 12. Suzuha hijacked said time machine and went to the past 13. Kurisu and Suzuha succeed in saving Okabe 14. Everyone is saved Bloody hell, Okabe and Kurisu really are birds of a feather aren’t they? It’s amazing how much dedication they gave to one another, even if at some point they literally gave up in saving the other, and Suzuha always has to give that final push. Kudos to Suzuha too, what an amazing girl.
Kynanda First ,The steins gate okabe will not remember the steins gate 0 okabe’s life as 0 okabe leave in the time machine at the end of 0. And it is generally believed he doesn’t return to the future as he wouldn’t want to overwrite the steins gate okabe’s life with his memories of trauma. That would basically be like killing someone and taking their place. Also this drama cd and the movie are not completely canon at least not to the original visual novels. Though they may be canon to the anime.
To be more precise, it's Assistant's Steins Gate Zero. We know in Steins Gate Zero, a version of Okabe survived until 2025 and sent a video to his Steins Gate self. And in the movie there's an Assistant that lived in 2036 and sent her assistant, part-time warrior, to 2011. The structure is basically the same.
But honestly it's the organization and the committee of 300... Aka Google. This information is known to few; so, naturally they will come after me now, but none the less, TH-cam has partnered with Google. The possibilities are endless. Take care. El Psy kongroo.
Okabe and Kurisu have only truly known each other for a couple of weeks at most, but that was enough to fuel their love for each other for the rest of their lives. For Okabe in Steins Gate 0 timeline and Kurisu here. So beautiful, they're truly soulmates.
Okabe and Kurisu really are similar. They are both tsunderes when it comes to their feelings. They put on an act when they try to hide their feelings. They both spent their entire lifetime to create a time machine to save each other. There's a lot of depth to these characters that go beyond what can be explained in a typical TH-cam comment. Goddamn they are perfect for each other. Also I just realized something. Kurisu said she was afraid that Okabe would reject her if she went back in time to save him because he didn't say anything to her before he disappeared. She's afraid because that's what happened with her father. Her father left her without saying goodbye or why he left, in this worldline, he tried to kill her. Damn. It makes her words so much painful. With all these details put into her character development, from the main games, the Linear Bounded Phenogram game, and these audio CDs, Kurisu feels so much like a real person. Even though all of this is a work of fiction, she feels like she exists. It makes me feel so emotionally distressed for her.
That’s the art of story writing, I used to think stories are just interesting but nothing more since they’re not real. But after watching FMA:B and Steins;Gate... I think I’ve found my second hobby and passion. Quarantine hit hard on me, I thought it was impossible for me to carry on my dream on going pro in my first passion, volleyball, with no official match experience at the age of 16. However, after watching S;G, I’ve realized everything happens for a purpose, the pain Okabe and Kurisu endures is way more than what I’m going through right now and yet they started moving forward after a long period of giving up. After finishing the anime and VN for S;G & 0, I went out of my comfort zone and go to a beach an hour away from my house to play beach volleyball. I realized that my love for the game is still there and I’ve been carrying this desire to play for 2 years without being able to compete in a real match. Right now, I’m starting again (like a phoenix if you know what I mean) researching and applying new knowledge to my training program, executing, and try my best to not contradict myself. I also started learning screen writing and drawing, inspired by the 2 masterpiece of the anime history. I’ll hold on to the moral arguement Steins;gate teach me and move forward, even if I slow down, I’ll pick up the pace again and again until I reach my steins;gate.
@@michaelnguyen6891 Yeah, this anime or rather this franchise is much more than just fiction. When I watched it, I built a bond with this series. It's like I love those characters more than a lot of people from real life. And also, I hope your dreams will become reality in the future
The beauty of quality writing is the impact it should leave on the reader. I laughed when a girl I was dating didn't like Tom Clancy novels because "they feel too real". My only thought was "Doesn't that mean he did a good job?"
Sankyu! This should answered questions left in the movie about Operation Norn that Kurisu planned to rescue Okabe and the reason why it must be Suzuha who always come from the future to the past.
Really? On the contrary, this drama CD ending shows Kurisu wasn't very enthusiastic about using the time machine though, compared to herself in the mysterious D-mail video that Okabe saw in the movie ending. Besides, why does Kurisu send that video to Okabe in the first place? Isn't it supposed to send to herself or someone else in the past who can do something about Okabe?
Al Luffy yup, it becomes a trauma about reading steiner occured, she afraid the same thing of disappearance has the possibility to happen for Suzuha. I forgot where I've read about those question, but I remembered the answer, it is to make sure if the message delivered to Okabe, that way Kurisu n Daru can retrieve the geolocation number and maybe the divergence number of R worldline. It is indeed unclear how they able to bring Okabe back to S;G worldline after she tried to travel back to the year of 2005 in S;G worldline, but perhaps that was the reason 🤔
Al Luffy we have interesting discussion here 😁👍 I forgot to answer this about the pessimistic Kurisu, when I watched properly the movie for the 3rd times and comparing this Kurisu in Drama CD. Because Kurisu in that video is from 2011 after 2 weeks of Okabe's disappearance and Kurisu in this drama cd is Kurisu from 2023 - 2036 😁 the other friends don't have any memories of Okabe, so she (from 2011) didn't have a much choice I think about who to send the video other than Okabe. The pessimistic of her from 2036 unable to do that because its not on her mind that time. I hope the next OVA of 0 will be better though than OVA from the original series of 2011 hope so if another movie will release, I wish they could put more details as well for better explanation to us, the fans xD. Thanks again for uploading :D
Al Luffy there are a few inconsistencies in Steins;Gate already. Since this one ends up giving a good emotional conclusion anyways I give it a pass and accept it as canon personally. That said, this just proves Suzuha is the best.
I love how the creators of Steins;Gate just made the best anime ship in the whole anime universe. I think there's no canon ship that can reach the Okabe and Kurisu one
if you watch this and see movie it even hits hard. When suzuha says, "what do you want in your heart" in movie, I remember the line said by kurisu to see OR again. Watched a lots of love, romances but even though Steins gate is not a romantic series their love story is one of the best stories. Each one of them suffered through many years, just to hope that one of their version in a worldline will live happily together. Thats what is called LOVE. Truly a masterpiece of romanticism.
One becomes a ball of depression should he lose the one he can't be with - while the latter becomes a scientist driven by mania fueled by a sadness she knows not of its origins.
To be fair, sad scientist just needs a push to channel that depression into the proper desperation he needs for one last hurrah. And, Kurisu only lost Okabe once. Okabe lost Mayuri over 100 times, to the point that it stopped being offensive to him. It just became a puzzle to be solved, not something that was happening to his friend.
@@johnbuscher7119 A puzzle to be solved that could've nearly costed him his very humanity. Though that was bound to occur when witnessing tragedies after tragedies.
I originally thought that the movie was too plain and out of the blue, mostly because there was no backbone to the story. Very glad they came up with this drama CD to explain Kurisu's struggle. And not to mention, a lot of screen time (though it's a CD lol) for the ultimate life-saver in whichever worldline, Suzuha
Alysonsemi Oh yes, finally the steel-willed Suzuha is getting some of the mighty recognition she deserves, that girl is beyond incredible and admirable, I loved her character in all forms and worldlines
@@Ice.muffin At the earliest years since Steins;Gate came out Suzuha was actually the most favorited girl in the fandom and she still remains in the top faved girls. Suzuha is the one that got her own spin offs and manga adaptations fully translated unlike other characters. I don't see why people call her underappreciated. I've read her full manga in Alpha World line where she's the older version. She's a mysterious, cheerful, useful and badass girl. I love her the most, along with Kurisu. I'm currently drawing her, it's so much fun.
it's so nice to see a Suzuha that ADORES Kurisu so much because from what I know, I've always known Suzuha to despise Kurisu because she's the Mother of the Time Machine was it? And I read the manga that Suzuha dreamed of during 19:00 - 19:44 *siiigh* it's JUST so nice I'm sorry lol. I love steins'gate so much ; - ;
I must be having a mandela effect because I'm remebering the movie differently. I watched it again and I noticed a few things that were different than my first watch. Suzua first appears to Kurisu near the shopping district in her hoodie and brings her to the park. She explains now everyone in the future called her crazy when she built the time machine but wouldnt let anyone research it or use it and she became anti-social recluse as she enters solitude in the future. But when I watched the movie today I couldn't find Suzuha saying these lines at all. It's like the scene was cut or completely changed. I'm kinda freaked out here. I wonder if there were any differences between the international version of the blu-ray compared to Funimation's release.
How it would turn out if this Kurisu reunited with Okabe after his disappearance for a long time? I bet she would break into tears just like Okabe finally met with Kurisu in SG0.
Well actually the Movie is what will happen, Obake came back, they have their happy ending and living until 2036, Kurisu won't remember anything about her building the time machine or suffered but a happy life with okabe. The future (worldline) didn't change, they still live in peace but now with okabe in it But if this Kurisu met Okabe againt, no doubt she will break into tears

OVAでもいいから映像化してほしいわ

Thank you very much for this particular drama CD, I waited so long for english version. Thank you.
What an intense one...awesome. Simply awesome. Thanks again for contents.
Aaah how i love the relationship between kurisu and suzuha here~~

I feel the time constraints of movie vs series forces the movie to be more abrupt and bare bones.

Thank you so much for uploading this!
it's so nice to see a Suzuha that ADORES Kurisu so much because from what I know, I've always known Suzuha to despise Kurisu because she's the Mother of the Time Machine was it? And I read the manga that Suzuha dreamed of during 19:00 - 19:44 *siiigh* it's JUST so nice I'm sorry lol. I love steins'gate so much ; - ;
You talking about the alpha worldline.
@@sirlezard670 that I'm not sure, but I think it is the Alpha world line
damn!!! the moment when suzuha said "I FAILED" ....
Shipaishte !
Kurisu and Maho are cut from the same clothe in some ways. I can't help but to chuckle at how Kurisu is just as sloppy as Maho in daily hygiene.
I mean do you remember her cooking? People nearly died because of that pie xd
クリスの老けた感じの声いいな

Maybe memories from other Worldline >3
これ見ると映画でより感動できる

Guys, all that's left there is the official novel with the identical name to the movie. I strongly recommend it if u haven't read it

I really need a ova of this right now
まさか映画版のバットエンドとは……予想してなかった
Just imagine a spinoff of this as a show and its based on this called STEINS;Gate 0R (0R supposed to be like OR Okabe Rintaro)
I want this to be animated
Yeah, just one episode or two would be enough. Like an ova. I'd be so happy to see it
This is really good

How it would turn out if this Kurisu reunited with Okabe after his disappearance for a long time? I bet she would break into tears just like Okabe finally met with Kurisu in SG0.
Well actually the Movie is what will happen, Obake came back, they have their happy ending and living until 2036, Kurisu won't remember anything about her building the time machine or suffered but a happy life with okabe.
The future (worldline) didn't change, they still live in peace but now with okabe in it
But if this Kurisu met Okabe againt, no doubt she will break into tears
@@minhhiendo3297 why only until 2036?

Maybe because future after 2036 is unknown and we don't know what will happen
