Meal is generally good. Just don't even bother ordering for vegetarian meal.
Wonderful trip report. Never flown with PAL. What more it's A350-900. I really wish I can try this this aircraft at least once in my lifetime.

Great video. I flew with PAL A350 Manila-London-Manila. The cabin lighting was amazing, the service was great, and PAL serves very nice meals. The cabin crew are very professional yet friendly.
I boarded this exact plane (Philippine Airlines PR118) August of 2019 with my daughter Candace on our way back to Toronto after I picked her up from Manila (11 years after I left when she was only 1.5 years old). This plane is very memorable to me and yes, the food and flight experience are great.

Thank you for sharing this vid. It relives our trip last Oct 2019 when we went to Toronto to visit my brother. I'm always emotional everytime I ride PAL in our trips abroad; makes me proud as a Filipino as it is one of the few who has long haul, non-stop flights.

Ang ganda ng terminal/ramp view along ~0:28. Kung di lang sagabal pwedeng bumaba to take a quick shot of the planes.
Philippines Airlines has won numerous awards especially, for their Business Class up there with Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand. In Vancouver, the Philipino Community is much liked and their contributions to Healthcare in British Columbia especially, in Nursing, is top notch, a very endearing culture, nothing makes them down.
Flew Flight PR118 back in 2017... the flight was fairly new so it had the one hour layover in Vancouver. I really like PAL directly to Manila
But I get nervous when they take the polar route over 🇷🇺

Going by this in-flight review, Philippine Airlines offers a pretty solid product for travellers wanting to fly from Australasia to Toronto.
That is the saddest part of going back from home.

I'm a fan of the A350. I don't think we'll ever see one for PAL at LAX, but there are lots of airlines flying it here. Nice video.
PAL operate both A359 and B773 to LAX.

Awesome trip report. It was a quite long flight, and I totally agree with you about the mid-flight snack. Not the best legroom for long-haul flight, but the cabin is modern

Great Video. Not too crazy about changing terminals. When I passed through NAIA Terminal 1 back in 2015, I remember there was a Starbucks near the gates which also had a good view. I had no problem with Terminal 1, I wish there had been a few more shops, though.

Try it one of the best Airbuses, I love to A350 well I love the other airbuses but for me a350 is one of the best.

@@juliasophiameirelles9645 That's why I can't wait because the rival of this model from Boeing's was B 787 and I have flew with them many times like Air Canada and Korean Air...Well this time I will book at PAL again and making sure the fleet was A350 :)
But hey other Airbuses on smaller category was amazing too like A321 :)
@@cleipotzful I flew them all from A319 A320 A321 A333 A340 A380 but I like to work in A350 I feel more comfortable, A380 is quiet big to work.

Actually the portions are a bit smaller than Eva air has to offer and have bigger serving tray as well with more add ons.

YYZ, YVR and JFK are only operated by PAL in terminal 1. LAX, SFO and HNL are still in terminal 2.
Wow! Surprised in a happy way because PAL has changed from a very low expectancy airlines to an airline that you'll be eager to fly on. For me, the PR 119 flight video of yours was better because it has no voiceover, but I have to commend you for the great video.

Try Manila to Riyadh at economy. You are in heaven. The entertainment screen is bigger and the legroom is twice wider.

Wow. If you find the A350 economy to narrow for a 3-3-3 config, might as well not try the 787's economy. Its much narrower and and some operators have average or below legroom.

Leaving the Philippines for the first time I boarded on the same plane (PR 118) back in july 2015 bound for Vancouver-Toronto. It was a long flight almost 13hrs. Didn't enjoy my food that time coz I never thought riding on a plane would cause me a motion sickness (first time ko kasi makasakay hehe) but it was an unforgettable moment for me as it's also my first time to be in another country and Canada pa and solo flight pa ako😁 I'm supposed to take connecting flight pero baka mawala daw ako sabi ng lola ko😁...

It ranges between on average. 1200-1800 Canadian Dollars round trip, depending on the season.

Meals are complimentary (included in ticket price) on international flights, including this one. No need to pay anything in-flight.
On flagship or major airlines like PAL, food is always included in the ticket price for international flights. You get one or two full meals (appetiser, bread, main course, dessert, with your choice of drink including alcohol that's also usually free), as well as one lighter snack in-between. You can choose your main course and snacks from a menu, even on economy class.
Only domestic routes and budget airlines offer food for a price, because they are not included in the ticket.

Really nice video it's pretty much the same duration as PR126 to JFK. However the cheaper option would have gone either KE624 to KE73 or via HKG. In the case of fire Hong Kong you actually get the same exact airplane with better amenities. Reason for it it's very simple Booth Cathay Pacific and Philippine Airlines operate the same types of planes get the Hong konger has the better version

Always wanted to know what this flight was like. I like the narration compared to your flight from Toronto to Manila. The A350 seems like a nice aircraft. Though I have to say those seats were tight. Hope to fly PAL someday 👍....edited those seats were tight not right as typed earlier.

Question..are any flights to Pinas from TO hit Terminal 3 in Pinas? The reason why I ask, a ton of my relatives will be waiting for me. My only options is to take Cathay since they land at terminal 3
@@renantebarroga6154 Just check. As far as I am aware, flight PR 119 from Toronto to Manila arrives in NAIA Terminal 1. There is no direct flight to Manila with Cathay. Cathay is always via Hong Kong and it lands in NAIA Terminal 3. Eva Air (which stops in Taipe) lands in NAIA terminal 1.

Do they keep the cabin temperature high like the other Asian airlines? Reason I'm asking is that I really don't like Singapore Air's and Korean Air's 85F-90F temps while plane is in flight.

How tight is the immigration security in Manila?
It depends whether you are a citizen, balikbayan, OFW or tourist. My experience as a balikbayan (former resident) was fine.
