Such a beautiful Spring tablescape! My favorite thing at Easter as a child was helping my mother set the table. The pastel candles are such a nice touch. I absolutely love your Palm door design ! Thank you for such a lovely vlog . I really enjoyed this book we are in the process of turning our former kitchen (renovation) into a small library/reading nook. 🙋♀️Votivo red currant is my favourite candle scent. Your collection of Herend is so lovely, another favourite of mine. My grandparent's living room and dining room are similar in colour to yours. When I was little, I referred to them as wedding cakes, because of the "excessive" moldings. Your home is lovely, thank you for sharing it with you viewers. 🐰

I absolutely love your tables scape and you have given me the incentive to try and make mine as lovely. I always have like Cire Trudon candles and changing them out for the season I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this for spring as I change out the pine when Christmas is over🤪. Thank you for bringing it to mind. I love the books you feature and always look forward to a snippet of what one can do in our homes, as you so delightfully show us. ❤
I buy those candles sparingly, but the history that they hold and the fragrances that they mimic are a treasure. I love Ernest Hemingway and when I saw the Ernesto scent I had to get it. It smells like ancient masculinity and is almost intoxicating, but definitely a winter fragrance. Thanks for watching.

I do many of these same decor refreshes too but I have 3 adult sons and 3 young grandsons and a manly man husband, all of whom could care less what the house smells like, what it looks like or what the table decor is! I go to great lengths to keep the house fresh and constantly upgrade the furnishings and seasonal items but nobody but me is aware of more than half of the changes. For instance, 4 months ago I upgraded the kitchen chairs from narrow vintage oak ladder backs with rush seats to newer black ladder backs with wider & tighter rush seats. The styles are very different, let alone the colors are completely different. Despite the fact we use these chairs daily, my entire family has not noticed, apart from one 7 yr. old grandson who caught the switch immediately .
I love the story of your grandson that noticed your decor changes. Many times the "men" in our lives do notice and even appreciate our efforts but find it difficult to acknowledge it. Keep up the good work!

A beautiful tour of how you change over your decor and other special touches for Spring. I had completely lost track of the Palm Sunday observance this year until I saw your video. It was always one of my favourite church services as a child, and I’m so glad that I haven’t missed it this year as it’s this Sunday. As to the book today from Lady Henrietta Spencer Churchill, it’s gorgeous, and like so many other books you’ve featured, I’ll be looking to add this one to my library. Thank you. Love Lady SC's book's. Can't believe how many she's put out 😇 Just an addon to your statement, The music room back in Victorian times, {and before} wasn't just for a ladies refinement in receiving lessons. You have to remember there's no radio at this time so the music room was important for informal and formal recitals as well as playing around with other musicians. Because of the joviality and lack of the ability for dampening acoustics, the music room was usually strategically placed at a good distance away from other formal rooms. Just think of the practice sounds of a musician trying to hit the right cords...over and over....and sometimes...OVER again !

I didn’t know Lady Henrietta had a new book out, I’ll have to add it to my collection of her others. I love the English Country House Style, and it works well in my Victorian cottage in the San Francisco Bay Area. I don’t put anything post-WWII in my home, like MCM furniture, it’s so jarring with the architecture (except modern appliances, because I was unable to find vintage or vintage-style ones with the features I need, like self-cleaning oven and sealed burners for my range).

Yes- they are Lismore by Waterford, originally crafted in 1952 by their Chief Designer Miroslav Havel. He said they were Inspired by the gothic architecture of the Lismore Castle in Ireland. Thank you, I like them for their simplicity as well. The funny thing is that I first saw them when I was 17 and bought my first goblet then. I had to choose between a swatch watch or the crystal! 😁

I wish we could grow or get Lily of the Valley here in California, but it’s too hot and dry, apparently, I’ve tried to order it. It’s my favorite flower, the look and scent are both heavenly.
It does love it here, in the south. I'm not sure, but I think a snowdrop plant would grow in parts of California. It looks very similar to a Lily of the Valley.

Hi Faith, I love this fabric so much. I borrow these pillows from a guest room that isn’t used often, as it has twin beds. It is a fabric from Thibaut called “Tea House”. Thibaut and de Gournay are probably my favorite fabric and wallpaper designers. This is probably too much information, but don’t let the cost of the fabric dissuade you. I skipped going on vacation one year so that I could afford to decorate the guest room in this fabric and I’ve never regretted it.

Yes- that is one of my favorites. I only have 6 place settings. It is by Herend and is a pattern called Rothschild Bird (Blue). They also make this same pattern with no rim or with other color rims.

They are made by Herend. Scully and Scully as well as HerendUSA (both online) carry them. Let me warn you- collecting these can quickly become an obsession!

You'll find it when you least expect it. I'm glad you appreciate china now. I read a book once that connected great cultures by their production of china. It was for my sociology class in college and very fascinating.
I’m with Orson Welles on this one, I can’t stand television. I just gave my “new” TV away because in seven years I never bothered to plug it in. I would much rather read, reading is relaxing, TV makes me grind my teeth! Even as a child, I didn’t find it interesting.
