Yep no doubt about that. But pretentious people gonna pretend like he ain’t cause the author wants you to be disgusted with him. How is a trench coat wearing guy who says shit like “I’m not locked in here with you you’re locked in here with me” not a badass.

Nobody could have delivered that line any better than Jackie Haley, truly a legendary performance. I can only imagine the feeling the director and production must have had when seeing that golden take of him screaming "You're locked in here with me" for the first time.
To a great degree, Jackie Earl Haley carried a number of the same qualities over into Guerrero on "Human Target", also based, though far more loosely, on a DC comic.
Like Dune, the story of 'Watchmen' was a deconstruction of the imagined function of a 'hero'. Hero was someone who swam to an island to be with their lover. Greek legend. That's all it is.
Probably the best scene in the whole movie. Sure, the movie was good, I even played some video games based on it but the movie itself lacks some more action in my opinion.
This film was by no means perfect (although I actually did enjoy it a great deal), but Jackie Earle Haley BODIED this role. He TRANSFORMED in this movie...Anyone that read the graphic novel has to admit that he nailed this character. Some of the other character depictions? 🫳🏾 Eh, a bit dubious, but HIM as RORSCHACH?!? 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I know this is just a movie, but prison and jail inmates should not have physical access to each other to do harm. I don't care what they've done, it is wrong to allow prisons to be so dangerous. It is an anti-human authoritarian mechanism, allowing prison r@pe and mutilation like we do is cruel and unusual punishment by proxy.
It's a western prison mentality. In Japan for example the prisons are strictly maintained with routine. Where the inmate will be forced to do educational learning, physical activity and fighting or any discord is not allowed. No just rotting away the days left to their own devices, but making active actions for change for the better and bettering ones self.
Rorschach is one badass character.

“I’m not locked in here with you. You’re locked in here with me.”
Damn that’s a cold blooded truth right there.
Right? Becoz Rorschach finally has many booty to taste in that prison
@JasonJayC1 Imagine Punisher saying that when he is attacked by thugs that wanted a piece of him but lost miserably
Technically both are true. A more accurate statement would have been, "we are all incarcerated together".
@@John_Locke_108 I was thinking the same thing too

I'd watch a Rorschach only movie anyday.
He would be a great solo lead character in a film.
Hands down the best character in the movie
They did a graphic novel prequel, where Rorschach meets up with Travis Bickle , from 1976's _Taxi Driver_
*Police arrests Rorschach*
Also police: "It'll be fine, right? I'm sure it's fine."
0:40 Rorschach : None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with *ME*!
Yes, we just saw, but thank you
This is the true batman voice
Am I the only person who thinks that Rorschach has the voice and look of a young Clint Eastwood?
Shame we never got those two in a movie together. Two brothers tearing up
He absolutely killed this role! Awesome!
They all failed the Rorschach test.
Nice one 👍
'Tell me what do you see?'
Otis probably had the worst possible way to die in the movie, it took hours until his heart finally stopped
Hell yeah! Thanks man.
Masterpiece ever
Very underrated movie this one, I enjoyed it.
It's not underrated at all.
@@Backspace1957 generally, it is. It wasn't very well received, it's like Dredd in that way.
He deserves his own movie
He’s so cool
Let's be honest, this would be a very good adaptation of Manhunt
The serial killer is the most moral person in the story.
Rorschach is a true hero, fuck what Alan Moore says.
Whats really ruthless about the arm scene? They only had to cut one.
This was the way I was in highschool
That was so crazy. That's something The Joker would do to someone.
But the Comedian was the Joker is this story. - also based upon Peacemaker, a character more recently played for laughs.
All of the people who felt the need to say "you're locked in here with me" before he said it - I don't like you.
I feel you there.
Next Dr Manhattan and Comedian at Vietnam war please
Finally this reaction!!!!❤
thank you for this

Do the intro/opening credits scene next please, the "The Times they are a-changing" sequence.
I loved that intro so much. It really put you in the mood for the whole show.
amazing movie
