  • Challenge Run of Vandal Hearts for the ps1 deathless/100% with the worst classes part 7. Just like my previous playthrough, its now time to finish the main story fights first without advancing Ash to the Vandalier class as i will do it on a separate part. This chapter just like the previous ones starting with chapter 4 would be miserable without power leveling the party, as going with the worst classes at levels that average levels 25 to 26 would be suicide. Since this party lacks viable strategies and power, it has to be compensated in another so with everyone at levels 32 to 34 will make these fights tolerable as the highest level enemies are Xeno and Dolf at level 34. Normal enemies will be at level 30 as the highest and thats good as otherwise the Bahamuts would completely destroy this party. This chapter especially versus Xeno is where it shows even further why the Duelist class is completely worthless as they can be killed be any combination of attacks especially those of Airman and despite not taking as much damage to magic, in practice it doesnt do it much good. For the Dragoon class, magic is basically the only thing that attempts to keep then honest but even in the Xeno fight with a total of 5 Enchanters (Xeno + 4 Dark Mages), 3 Dragoons will still be much better as of course, the AI of enemy Mages wont target Dragoons most of the time as it only looks at the target maximum HP value and ignores class matchup so they are more likely to target your Mages and Priests. Of course anything that attacks your Dragoons at close range will either die or lose 80% HP while taking no damage while Duelists take high damage and struggles to deal even half many levels ahead. If Dragoons are even 1 or 2 levels above the enemies, they can one shot even other Dragoons...let that sink in as to how worse it makes the Duelists look like in comparison. Like always i will detail the strategies for this party in the comments section.

Continuing with the battle strategies for the worst classes:
6-1 - This fight at the beginning is already a problem as without Snipers and powerful ranged Magic, you cant take out both Shooters alongside the Priest and the Warlock from the get go so instead i use the Spellbind strategy on the Warlock and one of the Shooters. Here you will witness the Duelists fail yet again to one shot a Crimson Armor despite being 5 levels ahead. After the fail advance strategically to the barricade and move the party in such a way so that its possible for Spellbind to reach the Warlock on the other side after lowering it as the combined damage of Plasma Wave alongside Magic Arrow can be devastating. Being in a average level with this party would make Plasma Wave hit much harder to the point that any 2 hits afterwards would kill anyone.
6-2 - This fight is always pretty simple as the enemies are in the middle advancement classes given you a massive damage and defense bonus. Put your characters into the Tricket spots and just let the enemies get countered to death.
6-3 - Just like 6-1, this fight would be unbearable with this party on average levels as the combined damage of a Dark Mage Spell and a Bahamut attack would kill the Duelists and Monks while the Sky Lords would be killed of course by the Mega Cannons. The Sky Lords can easily one shot the Hellknights and anyone thanks to the levels will one shot the Dark Mages. Xeno wont be one shotted by anyone thanks to his level but he cant do much especially once he runs out of MP.
6-4 - With the lack of the Salamander spell, its not possible to clear most of the enemies on turn 1 with Salamanders + Wyrmfangs. With the way i placed my units in the beginning, it reduces the RNG luck factor the most when it comes to the CPU focusing on one target but it still needs some luck on how the Dark Mages will react. It becomes much easier on turn 2 when everyone survives and the rest is like last time, baiting Dolf into a particular spot so that you can surround him while one character can get the absolute highest damage bonus by attacking a surrounded unit in the back while you are on a high ground.
