- Hi all welcome back to the channel and our traveling adventures. Today we ascend high above the clouds, to a peak of 5844 ft above sea level on one of the most strenuous hikes in the southeastern United States. Join us on this adventure as we first visit the swinging bridge on Grandfather Mountain, then as tackle the hiking trail which leads to Macrae Peak.

Now I know I was told that I would be addicted to. what? did you just slip through the chains? I like your camera angle and documentation/narration. Ropes, roots, twigs...whatever you can find to the summit..Bats? reminds me of my kayaking to bat cave..Scree is something we always have to watch out. The stunning view at the summit is rewarding at last. I hope I can challenge Tiger Roar Rock River one day.

OMG we almost ran into each other? We were planning on going there September 27th! I suspect you went earlier because it was awfully windy and cold visiting Mt. MItchell, so we decided against going there. It was 42 degrees but felt freezing with the wind exposure. We really wanted to cross that swinging bridge. Ms. K scaling those rocks like a champ! OMG those ladders!!?

Hi guys I love this strenuous but rewarding hike. Something I would love to do. The views from the bridge were amazing and si good to hug a tree ! Loved the grandfather trail ( ladies first Ms Kayak ! ) and how you had to rope and ladder climb up to the top, what an adventure. Hehe the " I think I'd better fall " statement was funny 🤭. That was an amazing 4 hour hike and great that you ended up at the wildlife habitat. Loved the eagles and the black bear, they were my favourite. Great video guys ~ Anna 👍

Awesome hike and not easy! It really is a beautiful place for hiking. 😁The mile high bridge is epic, Stunning views of the surrounding area. I would love to visit this place as well.😍 But probably I would never make it. I barely survived my Bulgaria hike and this one is more difficult for sure...😅

Wow what a climb that's definitely a great adventure and all the effort really paid off. It really did remind me of rock climbing, great robe section and ladders too. Quite a bit of scrambling. Those views were amazing even with the clouds. Glad it opened up a bit.
