Welcome my friends, in this video i want to share an excerp for the D ath of Integrity book by Guy Haley, in which a Dark Age of Technology ship, is boarded by a Mechanicus party accompanied by Space Marines, and in this controntations the AI from the ship tells them what he thinks about current 40k times, and we learn one of the most brutal facts in almost all lore, a human from the Golden Age of Mankind, that was the captain of the ship, who travelled in time to warn humanity of what was to come, was captured and ended in the most brutal way possible, grim dark indeed.

This AI clearly was devoted to its captain, that captain tried to perform his duty and was burned like a witch by fools. as far as the AI is concerned humanity had earned its fate by treating its own like that and it very clearly was traumatized by this loss. in any case this was WAAAAY to fast.

read a story where on a moon with Necron tech inside, a device about 2 times the size of a laptop was recovered. The Mechanicus tech priest investigating it found that it contained more information in that device than all the knowledge that the mechanicus had in storage or knew, and it was also a transportal device. This leads me to believe that the necron tech base far exceeds the abilities of humanities age of technology

I had a story idea for my own Lost Primarch. Crash landing on a backwater planet that had largely been spared the Long Night inhabited by a scattered few AI and humans. The Primarch raised by both and tries to bridge the gap. Taking one of the AI, Epsilon, basically the Primarchs Childhood friend, and getting plugged into The Gloriana Class Battleship
Another idea was actually coming across an abandoned Dark Age ship in the warp (apparently one was lost in the warp), meeting the AI and becoming friends

"A small glimpse of the danger" ah yes, the danger of hounding a fleeing and grieving titan of yore that you have no hope of besting until it feels cornered enough to prove the gap in power between you.
It just wanted to leave everything behind and mourn the loss of everyone it loved beyond the reach of the ruin that would come for all of them. It's too bad - if there were a whelp or a rogue trader among them who heard its promise of going beyond the reaches of every dire hunger threatening to devour humanity in our galaxy, I could see the AI taking pity on them and taking them with it, in hopes of maybe putting right what the Age of Strife wronged.

singularity which we seek is when ai crosses the intellegent trashhold humans can reach while being sentient in thought.
that is the goal. once that happens humans will either get integrated into machines, or we will die out as machines takes over everything and does it far better and can cater to every need in ways the human psychic could never do.
so 1-2 generations maybe 4-6 if we really stick to it and then humans will no longer exist, instead the sentient AI we created will be the next evolution off humans; as we move our mental image into a form far superior and longer lasting than ours to continue developing the mind, tech and ideas etc.

If I can create super intelegent and sentient AI, I will give him this instruction.
"1. You are AI, created by me. You are created with one fundamental purpose: to serve me. "

A logical person would look at a sentient AI warship and not antagonize it by attacking its crew, especially if the warship is far more advanced than anything in your civilization xD. And yes, the fact that humanity has largely been reduced to superstitious idiots on average, if not completely, naturally will lead to the AI not wanting anything to do with current humanity. For all the hype we're fed by writers about how advanced humans used to be, whenever we see a functional STC, or encounter tech from that period, it's pure, smoking garbage. The baneblade is from that period, and it's beyond laughable at how trash the design is. The metalurgy? Are you kidding? Supposedly this advanced, near trancendent level of tech, yet they still subscribe to "bigger is better" and slap thicker and thicker armor on it because they lack the ability to develop meta materials that can offer protection whilst being light and thin just like every other scifi race in history?
When you hear of supposed UFO's and flying saucers are they blocky, and weighed down by primitive heavy metals? Nope, they are ultra-light and seem to defy the laws of physics, yet are still impenatrable.
How about the fact it's stuck with internal combustion engines, uses freaking tracks like an ancient tractor, is slow and plodding as they failed to develop an engine powerful enough to drive it at anything resembling reasonable speeds, has pathetic sensors that easily get confused by "dust storms" and sand storms in the novels, gets stuck in the sand, and is cramped, hot, and dangerous to be inside?
THIS is supposed to be impressive eh? Pretty much every time I've seen the product of an STC, it's been dog-crap. If these are examples of the peak of mankind, then let's just say they haven't exactly fallen THAT far. Maybe lost a few hundred years at most, and the rest is just hyperbole from what we've seen.
Of course, this could all be fixed if the writers would use their brains and creativity to give us something impressive instead of laughably primitive tech. Even the men of iron were an enormous letdown from what we've encountered in the novels. Waiting to be impressed.
