Loved your video & your new mike sounded good! I can't believe how well the awesome worked! Wish I would have watched this before I spent 30.00 on special cleaner!
We love Awesome and use it for most of our cleaning projects around the house. We will definitely be using it on our camper awning this year. Also, we bought the Anderson levelers and recommend them to everyone. Thanks for the video!
The one thing that I learned from this is that I can get a Magic Eraser for a mop! I have been using the little rectangular pads. A Magic Eraser mop will save my shoulders. That tip alone is worth a like. Thanks!
The Awesome worked very well. I’m getting some today. Thank you for the effort to show us both methods. I watched a few TH-cam’s on this topic and this was the most helpful!
Thank you guess I should have tried the brush also. The mop was working so good I just keep going. Thanks for subscribing if you are one of my new subscribers
You’re my new best friend. I have a camper and just bought a John Deer L110 rider. Thank you for all the helpful videos. I’m a single mom of three and need the advice.
I literally know nothing about a riding lawn mower so I very much appreciate your videos. Also, my camper awning looks just like yours did AND I ALREADY HAVE THE AWESOME IN IT. However Amazon is out of stock on the magic eraser mops. Thank you so very much. Your family is so lucky to have such a handy guy.
@@MJones-wh3dp don’t let the Awesome on for a long time. You have to do like I did in the video spray it on let it sit for a little while then clean it, and then spray it off.
Cheers to a great video!! I think I'll buy some awesome cleaner. Thanks for the information that you provided for all of us campers! Great microphone too!
Awesome video! Cleaning our camper now which is why I looked up this video so I could see what to use to clean it!!! Love the comparison of the two. It’s late so we’re just going to use the bleach and Dawn solution now but we are going to definitely use Awesome and a magic eraser mop next time!!!
Thanks for the video Jim. I am about to clean my awning and already picked up the Awesome, just wasn't sure on how the process goes. It was just as I thought. Also, I too bring a leaf blower and clean off my slides with it before putting them in. Keeps the seals from getting damaged and/or bringing leaves and twigs into the trailer. Nobody wants those inside their trailer.
I just came across this video as our awning looks exactly like yours. I cleaned by hand with Magic Eraser bleach and soapy solution last year. It's just as bad this year and need to do again. I'll definitely use the Eraser mop and go buy some Awesome. Awesome video....thank you. LOL at keep your mouth shut!!
Thanks for the video. I'm just about to tackle this job myself. Great idea doibg a comparison, too! Everyone has their own method but I was skeptical of the bleach.
Thanks for the Video. Gonna tackle this today and just watched your video. Definitely going to help out a bunch. On my way to the Dollar store now. Thanks again.
I just watched your video and my awning is looking as bad or worse than what yours was. Headed to buy some Awesome and a magic eraser mop!. I just used a magic eraser on a couple of doors in my house that were the original white and used a lot with grease, etc. all over them. They look like new. So, thank you for this video. I have a ladder similar to yours that I feel very safe on so again - thank you for taking the time to do this video.
I just recently discovered awesome from dollar tree. Love the stuff. Will be doing this project when we get some decent weather in Ohio. Thanks for the videos!
Great idea about using the AWESOME cleaner. I've used bleach and different types of soap in the past with mixed results but always hated using the bleach for obvious reasons.
Great video....one thing that would be really easy to do and help to protect your camper decals and paint would be to simply buy a cheap plastic painters tarp and attach it to the side of your camper. Be sure to extend it a ways beyond the awning too. I would also be careful using bleach because it is surely going to damage your awning to a certain degree. The awesome cleaner might not be all that great as well. But....mold has to come off as is it is unsightly and can continue to eat at your awning until it's too late. This would prevent streaking and damage to your camper. This is experience talking because I have damaged decals using commonplace camper cleaners. Thanks again for the great video.

What was the best mix and define the amount of cleaner to a gallon of water/
I like Awesome, the ratio was at the end of the video. Sorry I don’t remember I would have to watch the end again also. Thanks for watching some of my video.
Next time keep your awning rolled up while you start to scrub. Then unroll it a little at a time while ya scrub the drum. It lets ya use more force.
Sounds like a good idea, i will try that. Thank you
Jeff, that’s definitely the way to do it! More force, easier to wash both sides, and safer since you don’t have to reach while on a ladder.
Jeff great idea thanks! Jim, what ratio did you mix the awesome cleaner at?

When you roll your awning in, you don't have to worry about leaves and sticks being rolled up with it, awnings roll in from the bottom.
Correct, but sometimes leaves are stuck to it. Thanks for the comment
Rv awnings come in fabric choices: acrylic and vinyl. This video shows a vinyl fabric. I doubt if a woven acrylic fabric would retain its waterproofing after your method.
