I hope you realize how much it helps that you are so honest about the anxiety factor at the parks and how you do need to take yourself out of the situation.
I appreciate that you vlog the moments where the trip feels rough because it's the reality of going on a Disney trip! It's not sunshine and rainbows every moment. It's about rolling with the punches
You can hear how loud Tusker House was! I thought the camera’s noise reduction would cancel it out. Just goes to show we weren’t imagining it. Chilling out in Animal Kingdom Lodge was needed. So many giraffes on the safari! The Jiko family style dining was lovely, we had a nice group x
I LOVE YOUR SHIRTS GARY!!!... THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!.. I ENJOYED THIS I LOVED IT!.. MUCH LOVE.. MY LOVE!. FROM FLORIDA BELINDA LONG ⛄☃️🎄🥰❄😍💚💚💚💚💚💚😄😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have been to tusker house three times. The best time to go is after lunch and before dinner ( 2pm- 330pm ). The food is fresh everyone has left so you pretty much have the restaurant to yourself. They came to our table multiple times and the staff spent lots of their time talking to us. It was very relaxing.
I totally relate to the comment in the beginning when you say you’re jealous of the new arrivals because you leave in two days. I do the exact same thing! The first half of a trip I’m so happy thinking there’s a lot of time left...but as soon as we’re past the halfway point the days fly by and I’m so jealous of the new arrivals just starting their adventures!
Thank you for mentioning your anxiety at AK. I've had days like that too where I've bailed within the first hour. The combination of heat and noise levels there really does a number on me. Which is a shame because I really WANT to love that park, but I can't spend much time there without flaring up. Just have to make lots of short visits through the trip to get round everything.
This was an amazing video I really appreciated your insight into the anxiety moments you had I totally get the overwhelming feelings thank you so much for sharing
"Good to know that the safari will continue through the rain, but this is a bit extra" Hee hee hee :) :) :) Love your vlogs. Thank you for sharing. I think this series with Gary is the BEST yet. :)
Ashley Omg Yess!!! I had the opportunity to do this and I loved it. You also get to touch them and if I recall take a picture. It was only around $30 per person when I went but I now have the pass that includes that to do one time at no cost and I can’t wait.
I absolutely love you two. Animal Kingdom Lodge is our home when we go to Disney. We haven't done the Safari tour yet. It is definitely a must do now. Adam, that jacket looks great on you. Thanks again for sharing. Gary, you are my sister Scorpio.
So gutted that you didn't love Tusker House! We went for breakfast and it was incredible! It's not as crazy earlier on, and the food was amazing! We also had a bit of time with each of the characters. Glad you took the time for yourselves after though, so important to know limitations and tipping points with anxiety and/or tiredness and/or Disney!
My favorite spot to stop and have a little drink and enjoy the music and dancing is at the DAWA Bar (the bar right as you are going into Tusker House) - such great atmosphere in Africa - I love it !!!
God I didnt know you could turn into my most favourite Disney Vlogger, you and Gary. Jesus! Okay Vlog done for today, lets go back and watch the others haha xD
Thank you for talking so honestly about your Anxieties and for taking care of yourselves. I went in October 2019 also it was my second time at Disney and I went solo. I live with mental health and I too had a few times I had to change what I was doing . Including once asking as CM for an end seat so I wouldn’t be trapped in at Fantasmic and was able to leave before everyone. I’ve really been enjoying your vlogs. Think all go watch your earlier vlogs after this series. ❤️🇨🇦❤️
What a fun experience. Gary and Adam, if you love giraffes you MUST make the journey over to Lion Country Safari while in Florida. It was amazing! You can stand up on perches and feed the giraffes romaine lettuce. They come and paint portraits and it's adorable. There are also full herds of zebras and rhinos etc. We love Animal Kingdom but the KS just doesn't do it for us after going to Lion Country Safari.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is my home resort and I absolutely love everything about it! My kids are too young for the safari but we definitely plan to do that when they are older. Glad to finally see what it is all about.
Enjoyed this vlog for many reasons. The tour, the food-yum. But mainly the two of you enjoying your holiday together. Watching these 3 months out is fun. Nice catching up. Also, let Gary know I love my Mickey print.
Such a shame about Tusker House! We went for breakfast first thing and sat in a different area, had great character meets (Goofy even walked me out!) We also paid 35.99 each I think (definitely not 60 each!). Xx
I am so glad you did Tusker House. I was thinking of booking it our next trip this summer, BUT seeing the atmosphere and food selection I don't think we would enjoy it. Thank you for saving me money!
Tusker House is terrific during the between meal times. We did the very latest lunch time (right before/during the switchover to dinner) & it was much quieter. Far less crowded at that point.
I find that most character dining is loud, pretty chaotic, with subpar food. I prefer to eat at locations thst focus on service and good food, rather than character interactions.
I've heard good things about Garden Grill in the Land pavilion of Epcot. Family style where they bring the food to your table, and I've heard the food and character interaction is great.
You “Girls” are the best characters in Disney ! So so funny, I’m a carer so not living my best life just now but you’re making my shifts so much better and keeping me smiling. Hope you’re both safe & well. X
Absolutely love your vlogs with Gary C, you make such a fantastic team tackling WDW and you bounce off each other so well lol. Thank you to both of you for sharing these. I’m 62 days out from our trip and going nuts with Disney withdrawal and your vlogs, both at WDW and on the Disney cruise have been a godsend! I’m watching them and rewatching them as they’re fantastic and help share the magic and excitement! ESP love your travel out days as it’s so easy to get the excitement of heading to the airport yourself! I’m only a new subscriber but definitely loving the channel! Kudos to you and also Gary C!
Totally agree on tusker house. We liked the food and characters were great but it was so loud and chaotic. We couldn't wait to pay the bill too! We are staying at AKL in a couple of weeks. Can't wait. We are doing Boma!
I just love your adventures! I just got home 2 weeks ago from staying at the POR and stayed in Magnolia Building. Love that resort! Can’t wait till next weeks video to see your last few days! Take care to you Ada, M and Gary.
Tusker House is one of my absolute faves!! I'm so sorry you had a negative experience. We always go at breakfast and the food is wonderful. We also have been lucky enough each time to be seated in one of the small rooms off to the side where there are only 5-6 tables rather than the main dining room so it is MUCH nicer and feels almost like a private meeting with the characters when they come.
I got back yesterday after a two week trip. We had lunch at Tusker House last Wednesday and was very disappointed. Characters OK food not good at all; I completely agree with your assessment will have to try another restaurant for characters next time!
In Tusker house you can ask for a private room where there is less tables in a smaller room this is especially good if you need a quieter place. There the characters will come round just that room separated once there done in the main rooms, this means you can get to meet all the characters and they have more time with you. In my experience some days the food is better than the others because one day you can go and there is nothing special and one day you go and they have lots of cultured food.
Love the video as always. Just want to mention for anyone else who has this problem, if your poncho brakes you can return it to any gift shop that sells ponchos and they will give you a new one. Pretty much the same thing with any Disney merch. I believe with other items you have to have the receipt but so long as you do Disney will replace the item. I am sure if you went in and told them that you were on the tour and your poncho broke they would replace it for you.
Best time for Tusker House is to schedule last half hour of breakfast...then it turns to lunch so you get brunch❣when my skate went hardly anyone was there and they had multiple character meets 👍
And here I thought I was the only person who didn't enjoy Tusker House! Maybe my expectations were off but I didn't like the rushed character interactions and I thought the food was good but not great. Of course to be fair I was exhausted from MNSSHP the night before so maybe that effected my mood that morning but I wasn't in love with it like everyone else is.
We done the tusker house character dining. It was so nice I loved all the African food. And the experience was great . Would definitely do it again. It was mega busy when we went .
So fun to watch. Always great seeing you both on a vlog. Okay. Now I really want to try the Wanyama Safari. Won't be next visit most likely, cause the coins aren't there probably with the two I am going with. But hope to definitely try on a future visit. Oh a favorite of mine when visiting AKL - the Jungle Juice Slushy (non alcoholic) over at The Mara.
Hi Adam- we were with you on that safari (the couple from Tulsa, OK and our friends). Fun, wet times! And great food. It was wonderful meeting you, we’ve been following you since, watching for this vlog. Happy travels!
You and Gary sat where my mom and I sat!!! My mom and I ate there one day for breakfast totally on a whim! So glad we stoped there!! Breakfast is so much better and a lot more Lowkey.
Too bad about Tucker House. It is big and can be chaotic. I love it though. The keys are: to go during off times, such as when meal services are transitioning. Much less crowded and you get food from two menus. The other tip, which applies to all character dining is to understand the character rotation and to time your trips to the buffet during breaks between characters. I really enjoy the food here as well.
I'm so glad to see you guys on Sunday mornings...sorry the Tusker House didn't work out for you - I love every place I have eaten at Animal Kingdom and Lodge but it does get loud.... I rented a Chevy Suburban in April when I was there - it is a nice ride...Gary I have the print that was on your tee shirt(my 8 yr friend is the one who thinks it's a polar bear...lol)....Adam I have one of your books and look forward to getting the next one....As always - another great job by you both...
when I went to tusker house at breakfast it was relatively quiet, however i was in a different area of the restaurant to where you were sitting. i had great character meets nearly seeing them twice each as well as a dance party with goofy. maybe you just had a bad experience as I loved it, such a shame
1) Disney anxiety is real. And sometimes we get caught up in the magic before checking in and realising that in fact it's all too much - crowds, noise, fitting everything in. Thanks for your honesty about it. 2) Your experience at Tusker House was extreme and even watching you guys, my heart started racing faster. I would have felt the same way. When I went to Tusker House, it was first thing for breakfast. It was still busy but I think people were subdued. It doesn't help that the acoustics are enhanced by the shape of the rooms/building. Once is enough and as you said during the vlog, plenty more places for character meet and greets. Doesn't help that this is one of the more premium venues on the dining plan either.
Wow, you can check bus times on your Disney app? I didn't know that. For us, that's very helpful to know. Getting ready in the morning for us is ALWAYs challenging. That bus time know how can save you quite some time in the morning. Thanks for the tip.
We love Tusker House! Never had a bad experience there. I think it was must have been an off day for y’all. We do have two kids who enjoy a good character meal.
Adam! You and Gary C. Would love Jelly Rolls Dueling Piano Bar on the Boardwalk at the Boardwalk Resort! It is so much fun! There is a cover charge though. I think when I went several years ago it was $10 but really worth it and lots of fun!

The one to do is breakfast, very diff and food options fantastic.
Milk first Gary, you are doing it right.
I was at tusker house back in August and I was sitting in the exact seat you guys were.
Gary, is it possible to get one of those shirts you made? I love it so much!!
Omg 6.54 I’m dying 😂 goofy forgets how high his head is 🙈
Was that his head that made that thud too? I didn’t realise he’d hit it at first 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂 I remembered Star Wars IV and the storm trooper when he hits his head!!! 😂😂😂😂
"I see the price, I put it back." Will be my catchphrase on my trip next year.
Did you get to go?
@@kalebwick3429 Sadly not due to Covid. Rebooked it for earlier this year which didn't happen either. So third time lucky next year 😂
I totally relate to the comment in the beginning when you say you’re jealous of the new arrivals because you leave in two days. I do the exact same thing! I love how honest both of you are about anxiety and needing a break from the crowds sometimes, it’s truly refreshing, thank you 😊
Goofy banging his head against the door frame in Tusker House reminded me of the stormtrooper in Star Wars IV "A New Hope". 😂😂
Thank you for mentioning your anxiety at AK. I've had days like that too where I've bailed within the first hour. The combination of heat and noise levels there really does a number on me. If Gary really likes giraffes. If you guys every venture over to Busch gardens Tampa, on there safari you get to feed the giraffes! And it’s awesome

Adam and Gary are like my mood
Adam & Gary you are both so lovely. Thank you.
Treat myself to these every Monday morning at work. Thanks!
I just love when you two go on trips together. You compliment one another. So good. ❤️
I absolutely love you two. Animal Kingdom Lodge is our home when we go to Disney. We haven't done the Safari tour yet. It is definitely a must do now. Adam, that jacket looks great on you. Thanks again for sharing. Gary, you are my sister Scorpio.

The notification popped up and I almost dislocated a finger clicking on it so fast.
Gary, loved this so much!!! Always nice to see your real reactions and everything! You’re funny🥰😃😁😀❤️💕😘❤️😍😄😘
You guys always seem to make the best out of any situation. That and the fact you always make me laugh is why I love both of you to pieces.
God I didnt know you could turn into my most favourite Disney Vlogger, you and Gary. Jesus! Okay Vlog done for today, lets go back and watch the others haha xD

You must do a bloopers series.... and I really loved the Safari. Never knew this existed so I'm definitely going for it 😊🐾💃🏿❤️

Couldn’t help but chuckle at the rain and the image of Noah’s Ark popped into my head😀
Omg I was laughing hysterically when that rain came down. That was heavy.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is my home resort and I absolutely love everything about it! My kids are too young for the safari but we definitely plan to do that when they are older. Glad to finally see what it is all about.

That rainforest cafe tip is brilliant!
love your vlogs with gary c

Hi Adam and Gary ! Yasss..it's sunday ..another vlog from my favourite Loved this vlog . And Gary..this shirt is also so lovely 🤗
I got back yesterday after a two week trip. We had lunch at Tusker House last Wednesday and was very disappointed. Characters OK food not good at all; I completely agree with your assessment will have to try another restaurant for characters next time!

Breakfast is really good at Tusker House. I have never heard it that loud in there!! Make an early morning reservation is you ever go again.
You look very smart in the new rain jacket. Glad you treated yourself.
Got my coffee and muffin ready for the vlog! Lol 😊💚💜❤️
The look on your faces during the Tusker house was priceless 🤣 No rating required haha

We always get one of the first reservations for tusker house. It’s not as loud and great interactions with the characters
you guys are awesome and it looks like your both alot of fun.
THANK YOU!!!!!!! Always enjoy your VLog's!!!
Adam, I don’t want these to end!!!! Love you!!!💕❤️🥰😃😁😍😀🎄🤪🤪😛🙃😋🏰

Oh! Loved the animal park. Never been.
I have @garyc t shirt picture autographed hanging on my living room wall❤❤❤
Daria Hagan thank you :)

The safari looked like alot of fun. Would definitely like to try it out some day.. As always love watching you guys.. xoxo
I always need snacks at the ready when I watch your Vlogs :-) They always make me feel hungry...the food looks lovely! :-)
Always like before I even watch because I know I will love it💕 to you and Gary
Never had a clam!!!???? That dinner looked amazing Adam. Love the videos, keep em coming!
We’ve been to Tusker House twice and didn’t have a great experience either time, we’re not sure it’s really suited to a character dining experience!
Never had lunch or dinner at Tucker house but breakfast is delicious! Love me some Adam and Gary😀😀😀
GREAT video!!!!
mooooorning Adam and Gary I love animals I can spend all day just watching them I have 6 dogs
Amazing!! Wish it was longer 😀❤️
I went to tuska house for breakfast and it wasn’t load so maybe try going earlier on. Love your videos
Was anyone else waiting to see what kind of hot chocolate the quick service had? just me? ok. lol
I have been to Tusker House twice, first time great second time not so good, so all depends on the day and the crowds around you.
When Gary was saying about making tea the wrong way my eye started twitching no joke lmao love your video 📹 tho
Very enjoyable.
That safari looked amazing and Jico is always yummy!
Ugh i loooooooove the jiko salad!!!!! And jiko in general but especially the salad lol
Your videos are fabulous. Hugs from New Zealand
Adam! You and Gary C. Would love Jelly Rolls Dueling Piano Bar on the Boardwalk at the Boardwalk Resort! It is so much fun! There is a cover charge though. I think when I went several years ago it was $10 but really worth it and lots of fun!
Suzie Cooper Thanks for the tip! :)
@@garyc your welcome!
I feel you Gary with the electric shocks. I moved to Minnesota from the UK this year and boy oh boy, I get shocked so much. Even stroking a cat caused static today (he was not amused).
Claire Rogers I think it’s my trainers that do it! :)
We had exactly the same experience at Tusker house, far too loud!
I had anxiety just watching you guys in the Tusker house. Glad you guys went now I know I’m not going!!!! Yikes!!!!
