Jamie, this video was so interesting and so, so sad. Poor Margaret😢 We can't even imagine how she must have felt to lose her husband and children like that. I wanted to find out what had happened to Margaret. Hi. It is, very old and beautiful. The poor woman lost her 7 family members in less than a month. I found it really sad that they didn't bury her with her family when she eventually died. 1856 was a long time ago but I felt so sorry for them all. No record of what happened to Margaret the mother, they think she might have commited suicide in the end and that's possibly why she's not buried with her family. It nice people can use the house for a camp or rest from hiking. Thanks for watching again.🙂👍👋

Really greatful you looked at this one. The poor family. Think it's good to share their story. Whatever difficulties we are going through reminds us that it's not so bad. Nobody remembers them. Very little records on them. They are not sure if the mother killed herself in end. She isn't buried with her family. They think she's buried outside the church ground in an unmarked grave. Nobody really knows. Thank you for having a look at it. Really appreciate it. It's set in a beautiful area. You too my friend, hope you have a good Sunday.👋

What a lovely place. I love Mid and West Wales. Spent a lot of time since I was little in Ceredigion near Aberaeron and Llangranog on holidays. Such a sad story associated with the house though of the Hughes family and that the poor mother wasn’t allowed a burial with her children. The fire made it homely and took away the spookiness! Not sure I’d want to spend the night though. 😲😲
@Lottie.Bronte321 Hello Lottie. I love hearing from people 😁 Thank you. I didn't want sleep at this one either. I've slept at another Bothy after though. Right now I'm camping in New Quay west Wales, 30 mins from Aberystwyth. My tent is above a waterfall and I'm looking at New Quay. I'm sitting waiting for my chicken to finish cooking 😁 I know about the mother Margaret not being buried with then family. I've even spoke to a local historian from the area, nobody really fully knows. You probably read the same as me about her. It puts things into perspective, we down and have knocks but this poor family lost everything. I wanted people to know about the family. That little video is probably my favourite one. I do happy videos too😁 Thank for taking the time to comment and watch. Made my day😃👋
@@JamieHarding5 aww Jamie thank you! I saw your video after seeing another one so it was lovely to see the 2 perspectives. I’ve learned about bothys too lol. We had several holidays s year throughout my childhood before the elderly farmer sold up. Site is long since gone. How we loved it! I’ve explored much of that coast down to Cardigan and beyond. It’s beautiful! Have you seen the dolphins at new Quay yet? Cwmtudu is great if it’s raining, the seals come in, and llangranog so pretty with scary caves lol. Tresaith has a waterfall cascading off the cliff if you walk across the beach and round to the right. Took my son camping near there for most of his childhood too as my parents moved their van to Penbryn. A helicopter scene for one of the James Bond movies was filmed over the cliffs there. 🥰

Hi Jamie my friend 🙋I still have something to eat 😂 unfortunately no wood for heating ☕ In the summer the beautiful house is enough to stay overnight ☀️Many greetings from Leipzig Germany 🇩🇪 God's blessings and happiness every day
Thank you I W.
I'm sorry I missed your comment.
I miss them sometimes, never on purpose.
Thank you my friend.
It's good to eat and enjoy food, I hope you stay warm in the winter👌👍👋
@JamieHarding5 All OK Jamie 🙋☕💥😎🤙GOD bless you
Had never heard of this place until now, will check it out, thank you for sharing
@wombatting96
Hiya mate.
It's such a cool place.
There poor Margaret isn't even buried with her family.
They don't know for sure, they think she may have committed suicide, you couldn't go in the church grounds before for that.
The garden is stunning.
There's another one up that way I've been also. It's not far from there 30-40 mins. Thank you for commenting.
This is probably the video I hoped people would watch most. Many have stayed there and don't know the history.
Hopefully a few more Will find it.
If ever we are down or having a bad day, always someone been through worse.
Thanks mate👍
Great videos - love that Bothy, but sad story 😢
Thanks Phil.
Amazing place. The poor mother Margaret isn't even buried with the family. She's supposed to be buried outside the church grounds.
Good morning ❤❤❤nice view ❤❤❤enjoy 😊😊😊

Thank you🫡👍❤️
In those times, many people died from various diseases. Very, very sad story of this family... It's very nice of you to go to the cemetery, I'm sure there is no one who remembers them! Have a good Sunday, my friend!

Thank you so much😀❤️❤️👋
L58/ good evening Jamie. watching here more of your adventures. Extra care when it's wet. Sounds creepy, there's no body inside the house.
Hi my friend.
It's such a sad story 8 of them living in the house and all died except for the mother. 1854 I think.
Very sad. It's a house now just for campers to stay for free.
Great video.
Thank you very much.
I appreciate you taking the time.😉👍
Great post, misses wants to visit here
Thanks mate. Really appreciate that.
That's probably my favourite vid.
It's awesome place. Beautiful location. Poor family.
I know the area very well.
Devils brigde Aberystwyth is very near and Elan Valley.
You could go and make a few vids in a day.👍
Nice vlog but sad keep it up
Thank you very much.
I loved walking around and seeing the place. It is very sad, I'm glad the house still can be used for people to stop and camp. I wouldn't to sleep the night but many do.
Really appreciate you commenting.
I miss comments, shout at me if I do🤦🏻😁😉
What a lovely place.
@Lottie.Bronte321
Hello Lottie.
I love hearing from people 😁
Thank you.
I didn't want sleep at this one either.
I've slept at another Bothy after though.
Right now I'm camping in New Quay west Wales, 30 mins from Aberystwyth.
My tent is above a waterfall and I'm looking at New Quay.
I'm sitting waiting for my chicken to finish cooking 😁
I know about the mother Margaret not being buried with then family.
I've even spoke to a local historian from the area, nobody really fully knows.
You probably read the same as me about her.
It puts things into perspective, we down and have knocks but this poor family lost everything.
I wanted people to know about the family. That little video is probably my favourite one.
I do happy videos too😁
Thank for taking the time to comment and watch.
Made my day😃👋
@@JamieHarding5 aww Jamie thank you! I saw your video after seeing another one so it was lovely to see the 2 perspectives. I’ve learned about bothys too lol. I think I may have stayed in something resembling one ones near Bala.
New Quay! My parents caravan was on a farm at Cei Bach.
@@Lottie.Bronte321
Good morning Lottie.
That's cool you have been to a bothy.
There's a few Nant Syddion.
3 near Elan Valley.
I saw the dams and went the same day to one very near the dams.
I know Cei Bach well.
Quay West Haven have a site just above the beach now. I walked across from that way about 40 minutes to a big waterfall that goes straight into the sea.
I've seen the dolphins here over the years, beautiful, been to Cwmtydu and Tresaith too.
Didn't know the Bond thing, cool👌👍
It's about 2½ hour drive for me.
I'm Caerphilly way.
You wake up early 😂
I woke up 4.30 and I'm just waiting in my tent for sunrise.
Should be nice from here💚❤️👋
Looks like my kind of place. They lived such tragic lives
Hello😁👋
It's in a big beautiful field and so peaceful and quiet
Sad story but it's nice the house can be used for hikers to stop and rest.
Thanks for watching👋❤️
That little building outside we just call an Outhouse, like it's always a happy journey going to the Outhouse 😁
It's copl very old house.
I wouldn't want to use the outside toilet😁 or (Outhouse)
Here it's sometimes called Sh*thouse.
So quite similar.👍
Wow,love this! I love Wales
@@lisamonalisahikes
I only just saw🤦🏻
Sorry I missed it.
The description explains all about this place. I loved it there.
I'm camping on mountain today by a lake. Soon I'll catch up on your full videos. I'll try to point some to your channel soon👋
@@JamieHarding5 no worries 🤗 Enjoy camping!
It 's a very interesting and sad story .The place is very mysterious. But it seems to me that this house has bad energy. When you said that there was a cemetery nearby, it added an impression of horror to me.I wouldn't go into it.Jamie, you're very brave.
Yes it's very sad.
She lost all 7 family members from a disease. The mother is buried with her family. It was a long time ago and nobody really knows what happened with her. Many think she commented suicide, so she wasn't even able to be buried with her family.
I wouldn’t sleep the night there.
I just wanted to go and share the story.
Many people go spend a night there and don't know the history.
Thanks for watching this one🙂
Where are you on holiday?❤️
@@JamieHarding5 Suicide is a terrible sin.God does not forgive.I really believe in God🙏.We do not hold funeral services for suicides and bury them outside the cemetery. What would she like if you called her scary forest a garden?😂
@@JamieHarding5 Jamie, I'm sorry, I haven't answered many of your questions. But I remember them all.Martin has been with me for 8.5 years. We are traveling in Russia. This sea is called the Black Sea.The British have always wanted to own this land and this sea.Have you seen the sculpture The Thin Red Line (Battle of Balaclava) in London? It is here that the Russian Cossacks rebuffed the British army and defended our land
@LabradorMartin
That's nice😁
I have two Russian friends Oleg and Natalia. He tried to teach me a little Russian, I'm terrible. I know a few basics.
He told me, you have a vodka drink it down and say "I drink for you, you drink for me" 😂
You've had Martin a long time.
He's your family. Nice 👌❤️

I have followed the dancing 💃🏻 singer Medkova for a long time.
She's awesome. Dances amazing in huge heels 👠
As bothy’s go, it looks a very Nice one to stay at. A really sad story for the family 😔 and all in such a short space of time. Very sad
Hi Yasmin. It's a beautiful little house.Yes very sad.
The poor mother isn’t even buried with the family.
Thanks for watching.👍
Nice that you got the whole place to yourself mate!
Hiya Harry.
It's a cool place. Many people stay there and have no idea. I slept at Grwyne Fawr Bothy last month, the fella that turned had stayed here, he no idea about the family. I just was hoping a few could find out about them.
Loved your views on your wild camp.
Cheers mate.👋
It's good people left something to eat there. The church is nice.. thanks for reading what is written in the grave. So sad 😢 😢 And the birds are singing for you.
Oh wow, you really watched it.
It's a sad story.
Remind us whatever we are going through some have it so much worse.
Thank you❤️👋
@@JamieHarding5 I dedicate time to watch all the videos. You are doing great with your adventures my friend. Keep it up. You have the potential of a good TH-camr.
I don't want to rain on anybody's parade, but it looks like there is a lot of black mold around this house. It can be dangerous so it's worth testing.
Hello David. Thank you for comment.
Really appreciate it.
Yes it will have some mold, it's an abandoned very old house with no central heating.
Perhaps once or twice a week someone will camp there and have a fire.
The MBA (Mountain Bothy Association) look after it and do repairs etc.
It didn't smell of damp or anything there.
I was suprised how good condition it was.
It's a cool place. Thanks again mate. Nice to know someone has seen it and commented. Not many comment.
Hope you have a good week.👍
@@JamieHarding5 I used to be a maintenance tech in a couple old apartment buildings and often had to treat mold. Good luck
