Love your videos, thank you for all your content. 3 months into re selling, loving it and learning so much. Gonna check out your store for some of those magazines. Have a great day. Hope the pup heals up fast.
I think you should get everything listed from your sourcing trips before you go sourcing again because it’s really easy to get in over your head. I’ve been working on my unlisted inventory for a while now, but I haven’t even made a dent because I had so much.
I’m not a reseller but I love watching videos & hearing all of the various viewpoints. I think it’s wonderful when resellers will accept offers on items that aren’t selling fast. That’s good business sense.
I live up here in NW Florida. I’m also taking a break lately from sourcing for the most part. It’s hot and rainy so not a ton of sales happening. So I’m taking time to clean up, organize and C.S.O. Helps that I have a day job so I’m not dependent on reselling to live too. At this point, the space and organization is more valuable to me than getting top dollar for everything. I’m getting ready to sell stuff on Commons too.
I mainly only sell in a very niche category, Disney pins and merchandise so sourcing is a little different for me. This video has inspired me to make a video about sourcing Disney pins for resale and trade!
Love it! The good thing about what you are sourcing is that it’s very small. You could just keep getting collections as long as you keep moving pins. You should ever have to stop.
This is such a good video. I'm new and I was already thinking about stopping sourcing. I probably have 3 months max. BUT...I live in the North East and I won't be going out in the winter so I guess I should keep sourcing. Thanks!
I believe sourcing depends on which climate you are sourcing in. If you're in a state with sun and heat year around, i can see sourcing yardsales and flea markets could get redundant. Here in Ohio its a little difficult i source storage units in the winter because prices go down a little, and they are usually covered and out of the weather. But that also makes me look forward to yardsales in the summer and spring.
Very good video and topic. I never stop sourcing, but I do get more selective when I am swimming in inventory. We also travel to a few large yearly antique shows/flea markets every year and usually the month prior to these events, I slow way down on sourcing to pad my bank account so I can attend these with as much money as possible. And to ensure I have room for the stuff I'm going to be bringing home.
I don't have a whole lot of space so I try to not build up a death pile. I try to list in the same week I buy. I do source every week, but usually one day unless I have a reason to get out again then I will check places then too. I don't mind offers except for the $2 on a $100 item that's a counter offer and if they do the same then it's a block. I don't have time to waste on that. If I had more room to take in bigger lots I could go without, but that's just not possible for me.
I have a 10x20 storage unit filled with backstock. Similar to ADHDave I am not sourcing right now... at least until the end of the year. I could easily not have to source for at least 1-2 years. However, I really miss sourcing, and I'm sure I'm missing tons of great sourcing opportunities. Best wishes! -Steven
When you got that much back stock it’s better to take a break from sourcing to get it under control. What is your plan to start getting your deathpile down?
@@FlippingandPunching I am finding easier and quicker to get through our deathpile by selling off in lots. Mostly on eBay. I can't wait to get through much of it, so I can start sourcing again. If you're ever in SoCal maybe we could set up a private pick. Lots of good stuff! Best wishes! -Steven
I've had to stop sourcng because it's not going out the door quick enough EBAY !!! hate it to be honest especially when it's mid sourcing season but it's got to be done for the good of profit
Hobbyhero_bros on IG is who I use. He is great. I mail him my books and he cleans, presses them, and then mails them to get graded. Let him know that Rod from picking and punching sent you.
Hoa, can you paint your driveway? I stopped sourcing for the most part until I get my stock down. I bought out a yard sale in March and went to limited sourcing. Bravo on the "you can source anywhere" speech.

Keep checking back. They are a little time consuming to go through. I have been putting more of them up every day. Thanks for watching!

That would be the ideal situation for a lot of people. I’m like you. I’m in over my head right now. I need to get rid of a ton of stuff.

I would really pay attention to this winter to see how much inventory you will need to get you through the time that you can't source.

I agree, sourcing will be different for each person depending on where you live. Florida is getting out of hand. We can go sourcing all the time.
I remember seeing the movie Heavy Metal in the theater when it came out lol. Great soundtrack.
👍

I do the same thing. I am currently have taking some down time from sourcing to plan for a big event that I will be attending.

Do you have any plans in the future to expanding your storage?

You can still source but just be super picky with what you get. I know the feeling though.
Where do you have your magazines pressed?

You need to use Kevin’s new marketplace to move some of your stuff. I’m not at that point but it seems like a great idea.
@@michelecirrincione6848 already sold two lots on there! Great minds think a like.
I can’t stop brother
Me either, lol
@@FlippingandPunching I don’t know what I’m going to do when it gets cold out
Storage units, that's what I do, and prices go down as well.

They do but it’s still the best place to sell.
