Been a big believer in Jalen Johnson since the start of last season it’s been great to see he’s taken the steps I believed he could coming into this season. Also glad to see he’s starting to get more national recognition because he has legit all star upside
I knew watching him at Duke that he was going to be very good even though he didn't play the full season if I remember correctly. Very versatile, great feel for the game and good mix of size and athleticism
@hoopvenue I'd love to see a defensive breakdown on why the Hawks are so liable to allow stars to go off yet keep lesser players from being productive. Jokic 23-17-15, Luka 73 pts, Wemby 42-6-5-4, Lavine 37-5-7, Giannis 32-14-9, etc.
jalen been my favourite player since he came into the league. even when he was getting barely any minutes as a rookie, when he was on i saw the potential of this athletic transition menace and saw the playmaking potential as well as the raw slashing ability. as soon as the jumper came around i genuinely saw him as an all star. when he got some game time in year 2 and he started being alllowed to pull down the defensive rebound AND RUN holy bro😭😭 oozing of this mini lebron type playstyle. never believed and been so right about a player and its satisfying af. fuck we talkin about last year jj vs kuminga😭😭😭😭
Johnson's Swiss army knife style of play reminds me of a young Pascal Siakam. He's quicker and bouncier, although I'm not sure he's stronger. If he keeps developing his handles and shooting, then like Siakam, you could slot him in at the 3,4 or 5, depending on the match up. That's how versatile he could be with his athleticism and skill set.
completely different body and framer. also wtf you mean not sure he stronger?! pascal got that "all my clothes baggy" skinny ass frame, where as johnson out here like a lightskinned gronkowski NBA style
@@schuylerkrizay6192 Mate, they're both 6'8, so I don't know where you get "completely different body and frame" from. Siakam weighs in at 245lbs, Jalen at 220, so I also have no idea where you got the idea that Siakam is skinny. He regularly played center for Toronto.
aint never seen youre channel. nice work love to see a breakdown of jonathon kuminga. His pros his real limitations, also his steady improvements as a decision maker, ball handler, passer.
I use to hoop with his dad in Sun prairie WI- his dad was a baller could do it all- I remember seeing Jalen when he like 9 and his feet and hands were already bigger than grown men I knew he was going to be a baller!!
you know for a player who over 30% of his attempts come from 0-3 feet i would hope he would get more fta per game. that 3.5 attempts should be 6-6.5 that to me is more pertinent than the three point shot i could be wrong
The Hawks scare me in the playoffs. They have depth, size, and Jaylen and Dyson Daniels are fast. They have rim protection from the center, or they can go small and their small ball lineups are still strong. Jalen and Dyson leveled up this year and the Hawks are one of those teams that wouldn't surprised me if they went to the finals, or lost in the first round.

had to make sure he was on my fantasy teams the last two years. shoutout espn for having him ranked 156 coming into THIS season lmao

After we traded john collins, more opportunities opened up for JJ and the potential has always been there. Its good to see everyone else noticing
the hawks got that lightskin connection with trae young, jalen johnson, dyson daniels
Also Risacher and Kobe Bufkin
Bro said “lightskin connection”😭

Love the content. Thanks for the videos and delivery on the new stars Jalen from OKC and ATL
Thanks for watching!
He has super star potential. He’s pretty good and got great size

I did a video on Kuminga towards the end last season! Might be time for an update though

Been a fan of his since his senior year in high school. I still think there’s another level too.
Keep it up bro!
He really has been awesome each year he legit reminds me of a smaller Giannis with a better jump shot
Once he becomes a knock down shooter it's over MAX contract!!
And really he only needs a midrange
@@TheFutureEvents Preach! Preach! Preach! Midrange like Durant and Brandon Ingram! 💯💙🏀💪🏾🙏🏽
He kinda reminds me of jt his rookie and sophomore season i can see him developing into something special
on my momma jalen johnson is 6’10

New year hv with a back to back post
Locked in all 2025!
One of the pair of under 25 players I am putting all my stocks on. Him and Cade. Please hoopvenue do Cade next! 🙂 Thanks.
You sound like the kid from how to train a dragon
lowkey
Can you do a video on Jeremy Sochan who has taken a leap in his game?
Definitely on the agenda!
Do I sense a KAT video coming anytime? 🤔👀
Definitely
He's kind of a borderline prime blake griffin

Do Jordan Poole
need mobley vid 🥲
Hawks r looking good
allstar szn?
He's like a PF version of Amen Thompson honestly.
Worse defender, better shooter, but otherwise spot on
bro amen thompson already as a defender is absolutely nasty work
Tari eason please
First and love the content
Thank you!
carried my myteam
He’s what Ben Simmons should’ve been
This is what Ben Simmons wished he was
ben simmons would never
is it just me who thinks that he plays like current LBJ?
I see a lot of Aaron Gordon, with a bit more versatility on the perimeter.
