Hey Nerbit, have a challenge idea: Can you beat Fallout 3 as a Chef/ Gordon Ramsay? The goal here would be to restrict yourself to using a rolling pin and/or knife as your weapon(s) of choice, as well as only eating food you have found (as you are a gourmand after all) to heal yourself. You dress in wasteland surgeon garbs, as the blood you are smeared with comes as much from your culinary exploits than the beating and cutting your enemies to death. And wear a head wrap for hygienic purposes, since food safety is more important to you than your own safety. Not so much focused with bringing water to the wasteland as culinary excellence. And naturally, you must punish Andale for their crimes against cuisine. Would genuinely pay money to see you have some fun with this, whatever way you decide to do it :).
I think an added challenge should be to only eat 'good' food. Ofc what is considered 'good' will be defined by Nerbit based what a post-apocalyptic Gordon Ramsey would consider 'good'.

I mean, in my first playthrough, a diamond city guard killed a legendary mongrel that dropped a bloody pipe pistol, or whatever one does 25 bleed damage. I used it basically the whole game. So pipe pistols aren't that bad. Well, they are, but yeah.
@@gewuerzwanze5627 for that stuff instigating is much better. In a way even better than two shot. @@HappyBeezerStudios yes. But instigating on auto weapons does almost nothing at all but 2 shot almost doubles not just your damage but your probability to hit. The effects are definitely to be sorted into either burst or sustained damage and the weapons also. Ma mismatch means youve got a useless legendary
Hey nerbit, for future challenge runs (especially weapon limited runs), keep in mind that the bullets you find on bodies are the "reserve" ammo. If you take the time to pick the guns up right off the ground, you get all the ammo that is in the guns as well as the ammo on the body. In any locale where the spawned enemies use only one or two weapon types, this is a seriously good method for massively increasing your own ammo reserve. Taking the gun off the body instead of off the ground loses you this bonus ammo.
I will note that the last part is false, you do in fact gain the ammo if you take the gun from off the body. At least if you don't use the transfer menu. Will have to try with transfer menu though.
I was expecting you to go full gun fu with this one. Great fun to watch as always. :D Hey Nerbit, I noticed that in the video you usually picked up loose ammo off of enemies, but not their weapons (because they're crap and not worth selling, of course). There's a little-known trick that will help with future runs where ammo is scarce - did you know that when you pick up an enemy's equipped weapon, the game unloads it and deposits a random amount of ammo into your inventory? This way you get the 5-20 loose rounds they have in their inventory, plus up to a whole magazine's worth of extra rounds, then you just drop the weapon again. This can easily add up to hundreds of extra rounds and makes looting high-capacity weapons like Miniguns especially worthwhile. That's up to 500 caps worth of ammo right there!
im really high rn but like i love your content, its scratches a very specific itch, like its really interesting and engaging but its not over the top with humor and its perfect thank you
I found in the begining when you come out of the vault theres a swampy area with a troop transport that has some ammo and more importantly a dirty army helmet.. its a pretty good help for the begining.... and the only enemies are 2 or 3 blood sucking bugs. When you look over the town after coming out of the vault its to the right
4:30 you were talking about killing the enemies for their ammo, but you weren't picking up the guns. If the guns have ammo inside them, you actually DO get that ammo when you pick it up. Just a note for the future.
9:06 feels like something that you'll eventually experience once in Fallout 4. It could be what Nerbit experienced or you could see a Mini Nuke just inches away next to you signaling your impending doom (or possibly that video where the enemy who had a Fat Man Launcher had a bad stroke of luck and the player was merely a few centimeters away from the Mini Nuke)
Even though they're pretty bad, I absolutely love the aesthetic of the pipe weapons. It looks exactly like the type of cobbled together shit you'd expect to see in a post-apocalypse world. Also love how heavily you can mod them to fit your playstyle, from pistols to rifles to semi auto to full auto to magazines to revolver.
Apparently, according to either lore or a slip up on someone in Bethesda's magazine creation department, it seems pipe weapons are actually prewar. They were used as a alternative to normal firearms that pretty much anyone with tools and parts could make a simple gun, hence why it's so modable in game, and why it is not super effective. I always thought that in in the apocalypse, the weapons are not gonna look as clean as they do if a raider who is likely high and drunk would make.
It pars in terms of objectical ugliness with the accursed abomination that is 4's Assault Rifle and that should say something to ya. Like, why are they made out of wood if it is literally the post-apocalypse? Shouldn't wood be extra expensive? How in the world can you mod it to fire even .308? How the hell does it even work, the magazine is significantly higher than the barrel, there is no recoil spring, the bolt-action version is a disgrace to all bolt-action weapons that exist(including such utterly dumb and incredibly weird stuff like Toz or Mosin Obrez) and the _only_ 4's pipe gun that would not make anyone vomit is the Pipe Revolver. Although it doesn't have a speedloader 'cos Bethesda needed to model dem asses on Assaultrons, which means that you are literally stuffing 6 bullets of .45 with one finger.
@@The-jy3yq I don't see a problem with wood. For most of history guns were basically a pipe and wood. The real problem is that they look like someone's first hobby project. The least I would expect is the edges being sanded off. You want a minimum of ergonomics and no splinters. And after 200 years, there should be some level of industry. The first raider who gets something together that doesn't blow up should be decently popular with his buddies. And a raider boss with a capable gunsmith would make sure that those skills are retained for the time after your smith gets eaten by ghouls or turned to ash by some supermutant. And then obviously the fact that shotguns, single shot/bolt action, and full auto are much easier to do than semi auto. Shotguns have relatively low pressure, so the stuff isn't just a fancy grenade. And the sheer amount of straight blowback pistols and SMGs show that with a small round, it shouldn't be hard to build something in a shed.
@@calebbarnhouse496 essentially all you would need to do is use the "build destroy repeat" exploit in sanctuary rtill you got to lvl 10-15 and then modify the gun to take fusion
@LavLunacy true. I think the synths exploit numbers and synth durability (relatively speaking) to compensate, and the Institute doesn't really do fighting well as a rule. That's why they stick to sabotage, or coursers if they have no other choice.
Can you beat Fallout 4 as Kellogg (I think its more interesting to see how you'd steal Kelloggs identity while not being able to directly kill him with your fists or anything else than actually killing everyone with his legendary revolver and decent armor afterwards)
The only good thing about a pipe pistol is getting a legendary one with the explosive effect. Make it automatic and its basically a cheaper spray-and-pray, which has lighter ammo in survival mode. You could also get literally any late game gun with explosive. That works too.

It's not random. It gives you how much ammo was currently loaded into the gun. Even though enemies have infinite ammo, it still keeps track of their shoots and how much ammo they are using so they are forced to reload.
I got another chasing challenge for you, if you like oblivion, when you get the great welkynd stone, you will be endlessly pursued by the king of miscarcand, he’s a lich with two zombies and he can supposedly follow you anywhere in the game
Alright, now beat fallout new vegas with only the stock BB gun WITHOUT getting any perks that increase its damage/crit chance etc. Anyways fun video nerbit hope your move goes well.
The amount of insane difficulty you put on yourself is honestly brilliant, I'm very glad you enjoy doing these challenges because they are fantastically entertaining to watch. If you want yet another idea for a potentially difficult one, how about New Vegas with only dynamite/long fuse dynamite? It bounces and rolls so doesn't always go where you want it to and is possibly the weakest non-DOT explosive in the game.
Well, Dynamite is usable with Sneak Attack Criticals, Dynamite is cheap and plentiful, Dynamite can hit a group of people at once and you have access to Dynamite from the get-go. Long Fuse though? Absolutely horrible. You know what would be _even_ worse? Time Bombs. Yeah, those Time Bombs that take half a minute to explode, require a perk and a shit ton of recources to craft.
i've been BINGING, all the fall out vids (to the point where i am hearing your voice when i study for my server admin exam), and i got a challenge idea Can you beat fallout new vegas with the varmit rifle being close to broken, challenge being you can only use the varmit rifle, it has to be on the lowest repair setting when using it to shoot people, you can fix it with other varmit rifles but not beyond half health.
I honestly thoroughly enjoy them in the early game, I once had a mod installed that got rid of all guns but a few pipe weapons and melee weapons it was great
It’s worth mentioning that one of my favorite end game weapons is an automatic pipe rifle with suppressor and steadying features. Virtually no recoil, abundant ammo and control is quick. Of course there are better weapons, but just like the Chinese rifle in Fallout 3, it feels more like an authentic Fallout experience with janky weapons.
can you beat fallout 4 without leveling up? the goal would be to never use any skill points gained and potentially using console commands to not level up since each level up increases your health
Ya know there’s something that makes me happy that no matter how shit the weapon’s stats are… if you *like* it enough and you build your characters around it… You can kick major ass… frankly this channel is nothing but a testament to that. Tbh I kinda *like* the Pipe Guns. I always thought they looked kinda neat despite and maybe *because* of how shoddy they looked. Especially with the visual overhaul that makes the pipes not look like cardboard :P
No its not possible. You can't get past Valentine's interview. I did this challenge and ended up with a priority method of: always "circle" first, then "square", then "triangle" and last "X".
WEEK 2 of asking.... Can you beat Fallout NV as Bear Grylls? -Hardcore mode -You can only eat food you find in nature, plants and animals you scavenge or hunt, natural water sources, etc. no purchases. -You can only sleep on bed rolls/sleeping bags by campfires. -No companions (we are the camera crew xD) unless necessary for the main objective. -Acceptable melee weapons include combat knife, machete, or an axe and as this is a survival playthrough you can use a hunting rifle or varmint rifle to get food, if you need the handicap. (I don't think Bear Grylls is a cannibal). - You can use environmentally appropriate apparel (whatever you'd wear in a desert) so any version of the duster/ bounty hunter outfit seems appropriate or maybe ranger casual/ red scarf but no heavy armor. -Make all of you own repairs. -You can use your starting healing supplies and can craft healing supplies and meals. -You can use caps on doctors because emergencies do happen. -Honest Hearts DLC completion. Has some useful equipment and recipes.
How about this, can you beat Fallout 4 with the animal friend perk, intimidation perk, and wasteland whisperer perk? Sounds pretty crazy since you have to figure out how to level up to lvl 12, 21, and 23 before it can be somewhat useful.

Hey Nerbit. Hope you are well. Thanks in advance for another great video! Was thinking you might be able to make some interesting runs with some DBZ fusion skill on your existing challenges. Anyway, this was the first one that pop into my head. Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as a Pacifist while being chased by Private Kowalski & Malcolm Holmes?
The pipe pistol actually has a niche use case in a regular run too! It can be modded to have, as far as I know, the lowest AP cost of any gun in the game, making it ideal for charging up crits for other, bigger weapons. I usually craft a "Plinker" in the early game to charge up my shotguns x)
Yes. Yes you can. In Fallout 1 you can go full pacifist and it will be extremely easy for the most part with only a few hiccups along the way. In 2? These 7 AP aimed punches are real good once you get all the perks: _especially_ Slayer. Frankie's getting supplexed today, yeehaw!
@@The-jy3yq oh I'm very aware, but most runners knows that just speeching the game every challenge is boring as hell. I was thinking if he wanted to be spicy he could try it with 0 unarmed skill haha or no levelling up or something

I hate playing my Detective character (Cheers Fudgemuppet for the build!) Because he sides with the liberating toaster idiots. Champion.
Yeah. Usually there is a MASSIVE FPS drop nearing Goodneighbour. I also get a big FPS drop heading past Hubris Comics to get to Boston Common but it's following the Freedom Trail that just... Snaps my xbox in half. Usually by the super mutant infested building and then again getting into the HQ

I love how this wasn’t even supposed to be a major video and he still did it like it was nothing, love the stuff Nerbit!
4:30 you were talking about killing the enemies for their ammo, but you weren't picking up the guns. If the guns have ammo inside them, you actually DO get that ammo when you pick it up. Just a note for the future.
Yeah it almost doubles what you get
9:06 feels like something that you'll eventually experience once in Fallout 4. It could be what Nerbit experienced or you could see a Mini Nuke just inches away next to you signaling your impending doom (or possibly that video where the enemy who had a Fat Man Launcher had a bad stroke of luck and the player was merely a few centimeters away from the Mini Nuke)
with slightly more distance you cancel out of vats and dodge.
But that was just beautiful. A piece of art.
@@twiztedmind209 yeah, it’s why you can find them in alotta safes.
After 200 years I would expect something more sophisticated.
I´d really like to see a Alien Pistol or Kryogun run. Even Mittensquad hasn´t done that jet.
Alien pistol requires level 10 or 15 to even get and has only a handful of ammo. Its pretty much impossible
@@Tatwinus you can modify it to take fusion cell ammo, and you can craft to get levels up
@@camerannicephore5262 even still it requires a random event to get, so getting it without spawning it in would be obnoxious to say the least
@@calebbarnhouse496 essentially all you would need to do is use the "build destroy repeat" exploit in sanctuary rtill you got to lvl 10-15 and then modify the gun to take fusion
The UFO shows up once you are lv 20+ and are in the area around the crash site.
That is a lot of wooden shelves to get there.
Try an Institute Laser Rifle, One of the worst weapons in the game!
You mean the institutes tickle rifle?
@LavLunacy I guess it’s quantity over quality. Goes with all the garbage gen 1 and 2 synths they send out into the Commonwealth.
@LavLunacy true. I think the synths exploit numbers and synth durability (relatively speaking) to compensate, and the Institute doesn't really do fighting well as a rule. That's why they stick to sabotage, or coursers if they have no other choice.
Yeah why IS it worse? I'd think it'd have improved damage and all at the least but no, it's the pipe pistol of energy weapons.
Maybe its because they know synths will be destroyed and its to avoid arming the wasteland against you. Crap guns means numbers matter more
Missed a golden opportunity to name him "Pipe Boy"
Pipe Manul would seem more appropriate seeing how he referenced the one who should not be named a lot of times in his videos
Can you beat Fallout 4 as Kellogg (I think its more interesting to see how you'd steal Kelloggs identity while not being able to directly kill him with your fists or anything else than actually killing everyone with his legendary revolver and decent armor afterwards)
Oh my God, the "Slow and unfortunate death" got me good! That earned a sub right there!
My favorite part of every friday is seeing this poor guy torture himself with another challenge.
Keep goin, Nerbit! Love the content!
The only good thing about a pipe pistol is getting a legendary one with the explosive effect. Make it automatic and its basically a cheaper spray-and-pray, which has lighter ammo in survival mode.
You could also get literally any late game gun with explosive. That works too.
I say a pipe rifle with the knee capper is great. Make it automatic and its the bain of all deathclaws because they cant heal their legs
I picked up a pipe rifle that had a health drain effect everytime you shot
@@ghostgamerz14 Does it give the health it drains back to you, though? That would be useful for Survival Mode runs...
@@MishraArtificer it was probably bleeding or something
when I played an automatic user I noticed the sub machine gun and the pipe auto rifle does the exact same damage for a cheaper ammo
1:40 this location can spawn a 10 mm pistol as well. though it happened only once or twice in over 1300 hours of fo4.
As soon as the rocket hit him in vats, it cut to an add about joining the marines. I fucking choked on my water and couldnt stop laughing.
Can you beat Fallout New Vegas with only the Throwing Spears?
Well, there IS an achievement for nailing Caesar in the face with a Throwing Spear, so...maybe?
@@MishraArtificer challenge, but alright
There's also the one where you gotta kill 15 NCR officials using Legion weaponry: this includes Throwing Spears
@@The-jy3yq Really? What's that one called? I know the one for killing Caesar with a throwing spear is a 300 reference: "Even A God-King Can Bleed"...
@@MishraArtificer The NCR-killing challenge is "Loaded for Bear". Also, you don't have to kill Caesar with them - you have to cripple his head. You can then knife him to death for "Historical Propriety"
I love how you're so busy what with the engagement and moving, and yet you still deliver some top tier content. I hope one day you decide to stream, I'd love to see your challenges in real time.
Tip: collecting pipe weapons (or any firearms for that matter) from defeated enemies will give you a random amount of corresponding ammo
I like how you started with Piper for a name, then backspaced when you remember there's already a Piper. Should've gone with Rowdy Roddy. 😂
name the gun bubblegum
15:42 "By this time Ingram was back on her feet..."
Technically... yes, but no.
My God, nerbits gone insane with this one
Finally snapped
It was the clown noise that told you, wasn't it?
That is by far the best slow motion death that I’ve ever seen
Good job always Nerbit. Hope the move goes well.
Thanks man, currently boxing up stuff and things seem to be going ahead smoothly
should have named yourself "pipesqueak"
You like pain, stop denying it
i've been BINGING, all the fall out vids (to the point where i am hearing your voice when i study for my server admin exam), and i got a challenge idea
Can you beat fallout new vegas with the varmit rifle being close to broken,
challenge being you can only use the varmit rifle, it has to be on the lowest repair setting when using it to shoot people, you can fix it with other varmit rifles but not beyond half health.
How dare you move on us, we rely on you
Can you beat fallout 3 with only a deathclaw gauntlet
Pipe weapons in fallout 4 are underrated
I honestly thoroughly enjoy them in the early game, I once had a mod installed that got rid of all guns but a few pipe weapons and melee weapons it was great
They aren't totally horrible and can even keep up pretty well if you find one with the right legendary effect.
That Terminator rocket scene was so beautiful!
9:07 I need that clip by itself. Masterpiece
If you mean the finned barrel it actually has recoil--it just doesn't have spread. The recoil only lifts it, so if you pull it down while you fire...
can you beat fallout 4 without leveling up?
the goal would be to never use any skill points gained and potentially using console commands to not level up since each level up increases your health
I beat FO4 on very easy using glitches and was only lvl 9 when i blew up the institute.
Should be possible to have a mod that periodically resets or lowers exp.
Ya know there’s something that makes me happy that no matter how shit the weapon’s stats are… if you *like* it enough and you build your characters around it…
You can kick major ass… frankly this channel is nothing but a testament to that.
Tbh I kinda *like* the Pipe Guns. I always thought they looked kinda neat despite and maybe *because* of how shoddy they looked.
Especially with the visual overhaul that makes the pipes not look like cardboard :P
Can you beat fallout 4 with only negative dialogue options? (the circle or B ones)
In fallout 4 its "no, but actually yes", this would be more interesting in new vegas
No its not possible. You can't get past Valentine's interview.
I did this challenge and ended up with a priority method of: always "circle" first, then "square", then "triangle" and last "X".
WEEK 2 of asking.... Can you beat Fallout NV as Bear Grylls?
-Hardcore mode
-You can only eat food you find in nature, plants and animals you scavenge or hunt, natural water sources, etc. no purchases.
What about Bowie knifes?
Just a question.
@@The-jy3yq could do, yeah.
You are a man of focus, dedication, and sheer f@¢king will Nerbit. Also can you try to beat fallout new vegas with only a single shot shotgun?
I second this, i have never seen a TH-camr even use the single shotgun
@@jaxon5925 this aged well
9:00 Might be the most epic Fallout 4 death imo
the pipe weapons are also intended as a backup for when your 10mm pistol runs out of ammo since nobody uses a 10mm pistol
Honestly when you get Mods on the 10mm It is actually viable for a little while longer
@@MHA-TSBro you can't make more ammo though
@@ghostleemann955 yeah 10mm isn't the most common ammo. But honestly it's still easy enough to keep stocked. Just loot everything
These fallout challenge videos are so fun! I always have a great time watching these videos with your great comedic commentary.
Wish pipe weapons look and more usable cuz i like the idea of them also nice vid man always make day even better when wacthing your vids
I love that he tried to name his character as "Piper"
That rocket clip had me actually laughing
6:29 bro thought he could trick you
Now imagine doing this with weapon durability
Skyrim while being chased by Barnanus
(as soon as he starts moving towards you that dog is relentless)
How about this, can you beat Fallout 4 with the animal friend perk, intimidation perk, and wasteland whisperer perk?
Sounds pretty crazy since you have to figure out how to level up to lvl 12, 21, and 23 before it can be somewhat useful.
Yesss this is a great idea. It'd be challenging and entertaining
You can just shelf spam
Found your channel last week and been binging all your videos. Great stuff. One suggestion I have is maybe on challenges that aren't too restricted doing one random dlc to keep things fresh. Looking forward to more vids, have a good day.
Can you beat fallout NV as the vault 13 dweller (only use vault 13 armor and weathered 10mm pistol)
I remember on my first play through when I saw piper for some reason I decided that she was an enemy so I started attacking her and then everyone else around me started attacking me and nobody was dying and I was confused. So it was kinda funny to me when you shot her too
Can you beat Fallout 3 while being chased by a child?
I got a heart YAY
bro this was basically my first playthrough lmao.
i just used the 10mm you start off wtithout modding it and the power armor from the brotherhood and that was my entire game.
besides the odd time i used a fatman i pretty much did a challenge run xd
Could be interesting to do, as that's pretty much how I came up with the idea to do the Malcolm and Kowalski video
@@Nerbit13098 Coming full circle :)
Hello nerbit, I seem to have found you again
This feels like a run where the manufactory dlc would come in useful, since you could just make .38 rounds
Can you beat fallout 1/2 with just your bare fists? I'd love to see some classic fallout :)
@@aetherius6221 no, not speeching.
_Snee-king, yes-yes._

Fallout 4 with only the rolling pin would be good but bad for him unmodded
Still waiting on the new Fable vid Nerbit (:
I wanna do a fable 2 video soon to be fair
that moment when smacking someone with your sidearm does more damage than actually shooting them
minigun from 4 moment
smg from 4 moment
I have a constant challenge every time I load up Fallout 4: Can I play it without my game crashing trying to reach (And get into) the Railroad?
The answer, so far, is no. It keeps crashing. I hate playing my Detective character (Cheers Fudgemuppet for the build!) Because he sides with the liberating toaster idiots. Champion.
I can’t ever get into goodneighbor so I feel your pain
Yeah. Usually there is a MASSIVE FPS drop nearing Goodneighbour. I also get a big FPS drop heading past Hubris Comics to get to Boston Common but it's following the Freedom Trail that just... Snaps my xbox in half. Usually by the super mutant infested building and then again getting into the HQ
alternate title
"can you beat fallout 4 as a lvl 1 raider with better armor"
Can you beat fallout 4 with only Molotov cocktails also luv the vids
Yes, you can
Before watching.
I remember senza doing this and drove him to insanity. I hope nerbit doesn't have the same fate
yo man, do you think you can finish new vegas with only throwing weapons/explosive (grenade, mine ...)?
ItsJabo did that one recently. Micro-Fusion Grenades broke the run completely, in the best way.
For fallout 4, you can get science 1 and make water purifiers and pumps after scraping sanctuary, and collect the purified water and sell it at something like the drumlin diner to get a ton of easy caps
